-"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?"
Nancy Wheeler yells at her boyfriend Steve after slapping his cheek harshly. She had seen what he had spray painted on the cinema sign, and she didn't like it. This action earned an "oh" from Tommy, Carol, and Nicole, who were with Steve.

-"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you?" He quickly turns the question around back on to her.

"I was worried about you." He adds while still looking down at her. He shakes in head in slight disbelief while keeping his cool.

"I can't believe that I was actually worried about you." He scoffs, his mood shifting immediately. Nancy steps back in confusion, her face displaying the thought, perfectly.

-"I wouldn't lie if I were you. You don't want to be known as the lying slut now, do you?" Carol says with a hint of amusement in her voice. She takes a step forward towards Nancy in the process.

"Speak of the devil." Tommy speaks from behind her. Johnathan walks down the alley and stands behind the Wheeler girl.

"Hi." He greets Jonathan, who, in return, wears a confused expression.

-"You came by last night?" Nancy asks in astonishment. Her heartbeat quickened and she takes a step back. What did he see?

-"Ding! Ding! Ding! Does she get a prize?" Carol asks the other teenagers with a bit of sarcasm lancing in her tone.

-"Look, I don't know what you think you saw, but it wasn't like that." Nancy says with honesty. He couldn't possibly think that she was cheating on him with Jonathan. Jonathan freaking Byers.

-"What, you just let him into your room to... study?" Steve questions her. He takes a step towards her and tilts his head to the left. Nancy didn't care for the way he was handling this, and, once again, displayed it perfectly on her face.

-"Or for another pervy photo session?" Tommy questions, his arm wrapped around Carol. Nancy shakes her head as the others laugh.

-"We were just..." Nancy tris to explain. But not finding any words to do so. She looks up at her boyfriend and sees right through him. She instantly felt guilty. She could see the pain, the anger, the stress, and the purple bags under his eyes confirming his lack of sleep.

-"You were just what?" Steve asks slowly, being fair in letting her find the words to explain herself.

"Finish that sentence." He takes a step towards her, his patients running thin. Right about now he had made up his mind that he would no longer play fair. Nancy looks up at him in fright, having no idea of what would come next from the boy standing in front of her.

"Finish the sentence." He says in a low and steady voice. Nancy's breathing turns into panting as she looks away from him, not wanting to look him in the eye.

-"Come on, Nancy, let's just leave." Johnathan steps forward and grabs Nancy's arm. She's too shocked to even comprehend what was happening at the moment.

-"You know what, Byers? I'm actually kind of impressed." Steve speak quickly without thinking. He was upset, and was being very hasty with his words.

"I always took you for a queer, but I guess you're just a little screw-up like your father." His words were harsh and cold, and even though Jonathan was mad, he tried desperately to keep stay calm, knowing that his anger would fire Steve up even more.

"Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that house is full of screw-ups. You know, I guess I shouldn't really be surprised." Steve walks around Nancy and towards Byers. Tommy, Carol, and Nicole watch in amusement, while Nancy grows flustered, as the scene unfolds before them.

"A bunch of screw-ups in your family." Harrington continues on. Nancy and Jonathan growing more furious by the second.

-"Jonathan, leave it." She grabs his arm in hope of calming his down. His hands were balled up in a fist and he looked ready to kill.

-"I mean, your mom... she's fine but like..... I'm not even surprised what happened to your brother. And the fact that my sister is missing, because of your brother...."
he didn't finish his sentence, for fear that his "jack-ass" attitude would die away, because the thought of his sister missing sadden him deeply.

-"Steve, shut up!" Nancy yells at him, afraid that he would blame Jonathan for the disappearance of his sister.

-"I'm sorry I have to be the one to tell you, but you and about half of your family, it's a disgrace to the entire--"

Johnathan breathes heavily before running at Steve with anger as his fuel. He runs onto Harrington with all his might and pushes his on to the ground with a grunt. Steve, taken by surprise punches Johnathan, and sends him down.

-"Steve!" Nancy cries, trying to end the fight before someone found, not to mention, the police.

-"Oh!" Tommy cries out in surprise. He never took Jonathan for a "tough-guy". His eyes dance around in delight as he watches the scene play out before him.

"Steve." Nancy calls out again, but it was all in vain. The two teens where rolling around on the ground, and no one was going to stop them.

"Stop! Steve! Knock it off, you guys!"

The last thing Johnathan and Steve we're going to do was listen. Each was breathing heavily, there was blood, and there knuckles were covered in it. Johnathan tried to go for Steve's legs, but he failed when Steve had pinned him down and started to lay punches on him. This even made Carol upset.

-"Get off of him, seriously!" She yelled, growing uncomfortable at the sight of someone not having a chance for a fair fight.

-"Kick his butt, man!" Tommy encouraged his friend by whooping and pumping his fists in the air.

-"Get off! Stop!" Carol yells again. Her face no more held a wide eyed smile, but now a worried expression.

Of course the fighters paid no heed to what had been said. They were busy tackling each other, they breathed heavily through their mouths and the fight went on.

-"Get in there, he's going to hurt himself!"

-"Easy, easy!"

-"COME ON HARRINGTON!" The four, somewhat sensible, teenagers yell in unison.

-"Hey. Hey! Get out of here! Get out of here! Get out of here!"

Suddenly, Jonathan pulls an unexpected move and pins Steve down and starts punching the heck out of him. Now everyone's in favor of Steve, the poor guy had no chance.

-"Jonathan, stop! Stop! You're going to hurt him!"
Nancy yells at the oldest Byers boy. He pays attention to her and continues to let his emotions control him.

Steve's breathing becomes short and ragged as he tries to gather the strength in order to push Jonathan off of him.

"Jonathan, stop!" The Wheeler girl shouts again. She was so mad, she could throw a fit right there.

Not long after the numerous calls to "cut it out", sirens could be heard from down the street. Tommy yells "cops" and all heads turn towards the entrance of the alleyway. Now everyone was on edge.

"Guys-- Jonathan, get off of him!" Demands Nancy as she marches over towards the two. She tries to grab Jonathan to pull him away, but they're both too quick for her.

-"Cops! Come on!" Tommy repeats in alarm. He goes over to Steve to grab him and pull him out of the fight. By now, this was stupid, and not worth it to be caught by the police.

-"Stop it! Come on!"

-"Cops!"

-"You have to stop!"

-"Just go, Carol!"

-"Stop it!" Nancy practically screams, trying not to cause a scene on her end. Both teens grunt and breathe heavily. Their faces covered in blood and beads of sweat could been seen on their foreheads.

-"Hey, he's had enough, man! I said he's had enough!" Tommy practically drags Steve away from the fight. Tommy looked a bit odd to be seen dragging away a terrible looking Steve Harrington from a fight.

-"Kids! All right!" Powell, the older of the two deputies yells, but Jonathan had just gotten started. He started throwing his fist around, hitting anything that came in contact with it.

-"Stop it!" Nancy commands, hopping he'll pay attention to her somewhat intimidating tone. Jonathan, clearly not over the adrenaline rush that was going through him, swung his fist and hit Callahan, the younger of the two, in the nose.

-"Oh! My nose!" He cries out in pain. He grasps his throbbing noise in attempt to make the pain go away quicker.

-"Calm him down!" Powell barks, he grabs Jonathan just before he could swing again.
By this time, Steve and company hadn't fully left the area. He fought with Tommy on going back and giving Jonathan what he thought, deserved. But, Tommy who at least had some braincells, wouldn't let him, as he dragged Steve away.

-"Hey! Hey, uh-uh. Uh-uh. Come here, little guys! Come here!" Callahan yells, although he doesn't make much of an effort to run after them.

-"Get off!" Jonathan yells at the officer who was holding him down. He tried to wiggle his way to freedom, but Powell kept a tight grip on him.

-"I got this one!" Powell informs Callahan with a sense of achievement lancing in his voice.

Nancy runs her hands through her hair as she watches the scene unfold beige her. Boys really are stupid.

-"Get back here! Get back here, you little punks!" Was the last attempt that Callahan made in order to get to Tommy and Steve, who were long gone by now.

-"DID YOU HEAR THAT?!" Whispers Will to the girl sitting beside him. They were going through Stella's backpack, which was quickly running low on supplies.

-"Perhaps it was just the wind?!" Stella suggests, trying to stay brave for herself and Will. The boy nods, as if to say that Stella's prediction was good enough for him.

-"So, how much water's left?"

Stella unscrews the lid from her water bottle and looks inside. She sighs after looking at the results. She explains to Will that there's probably about a little over a quarter amount of water left.

"Oh boy, I sure hope Steve finds us soon." He say while bringing his knees to his chest.

Stella places a reassuring hand on her friends shoulder and gives it a light squeeze. Will sends her a tight, closed mouth smile in appreciation.

Before anything else could happen, the same sound that Will heard not to long before, was heard again. The two share a look of fear, that also said, "maybe that's not the wind then?!".

Stella stands up first, and walks over to the entrance. Will follows her actions, and both peek their heads out to see what was going on beyond those four walls.

Then they heard it again.

It sounded as if someone was walking on crunchy leaves. Stella's heartbeat quicken and she began to tremble lightly. Just when they thought that, that creature was gone for good.

The crunching became louder, and both stepped back from the door. They whispered to each other, as they try to come up with a plan.

-"We have to go! Now!" Will whisper shouts his idea, Stella's backpack already slung over his shoulder. He wasn't going to take the risk of staying behind and letting that monster find them.

-"No wait! We're safe here though! We can't leave here just yet!" Stella argues, expressing why she felt that it was too soon to make any decisions on leaving.

-"That thing is coming here, if we can sneak pass it and leave now, then we'll have a better chance of survival!"

-"But-..."

Before she can finish her sentence, a loud and ear piercing shriek could be heard from outside. Stella nearly let out a scream, if she hadn't covered her mouth in time.

Too paralyzed and frozen in fear, the tweens stood still. Their thoughts were all over the place, and their hearts thumped rapidly.
It was only a matter of time until they were found.

The two lock eyes before the monster lets out another horrendous scream, indicating that it had found Castle Byers.

The monster advanced towards it quickly, and Will, who thankfully came to his senses, gasped in horror at the sight of it.

He made a quick move, and was now already standing outside of the fort. He had gone through the back, which had a small opening for quick escapes. On the other hand,
Stella stood watching the figure as it made its way towards her. Will looked back and saw her, and then cried-

-"COME ON HARRINGTON!"

Stella was quick to turn around and practically dove through the small opening. She landed with a thump on the cold and wet ground before getting to her feet and running with all her might next to Will. The two had made an agreement that they wouldn't spilt up, like they did before, ever again unless COMPLETELY necessary.

Because of Will's outburst the creature knew where they were. They sprinted side by side with the monster at their heels. Eventually, Stella got ahead as their path made by the trees narrowed. While she ran, she noticed that the distance between trees began to grow smaller and smaller. She glanced over her shoulder to see Will close behind, and the monster gaining on them. She also saw, that it was struggling. It roared in pain as it tried to wiggle its way through the trees.

They kept running, their breathing hard, and foreheads glistened with sweat. Never had they ran so hard and fast before.

A fork in the road suddenly appeared, and Stella didn't hesitate to take the narrower path. To her surprise, and dismay, the creature followed, but she could hear how it struggled. This suddenly became her motivation, and she ran on, that is, until she slipped.....
