I am currently hiding away in my bedroom while mum and dad show the Potters in and take them to their rooms. Sirius and James are staying with the twins, so thankfully I won't have to deal with them for the whole of the day. I cannot imaging how horrid it would be to be stuck with both of them 24 hours a day.

"Imogen! Come down and say hello!" Mum shouts up to me.

I begrudgingly walk downstairs and take a deep breath before heading through the doorway and into the sitting room. I take note of Sirius and James standing at the back, looking around at their surroundings and awkwardly shuffling from foot to foot. It almost makes me smile about how uncomfortable they appear to be. Fleamont and Euphemia, James's parents, rush over to me and pull me in a hug.

"Imogen! Look how much you've grown and changed! You're such a beautiful young girl now. I hope you're enjoying Hogwarts, I was so happy when I found that you were in the same house as James." She gushes excitedly. "You two must have so many lessons together. Ah, I'm so pleased that you're friends again."

I just smile and nod along to whatever they're saying. Euphemia has always been really bubbly and treated me like a daughter. She's always been like that.

"So, I want to know all about what you've all been up to while you've been AWOL." She perches on the edge of the sofa and pats the spot next to her, indicating for me to sit down.

I hesitantly take a seat next to her and she plucks a biscuit off the plate on the coffee table.

"So, how did you enjoy the ball?" She asks warmly. "I bet you had boys flocking to be your date, you've grown into such a beautiful young girl."

She awaits for my answer but looks at me strangely when I pick up my wand and words start to form in the air.

I wasn't able to go to the ball. I can't remember anything from the week before then either. I explain and subtly cast a quick glance at the boys who are frowning at their feet.

"You poor girl! How did that happen?"

I honestly don't know. I was found collapsed in the greenhouse and so I might have hit my head when I fell. I shrug.

"That's awful!" She exclaims. "Why would someone do that to you?"

I shrug again. Don't know, sorry, but I think mum called me from the kitchen. I'll speak to you in a couple of minutes.

"Oh ok, see you in a few. I'll get everyone settled in the rooms. It was lovely catching up with you."

You too. I smile and head into the kitchen.

Mum didn't call me through. I just needed to get away from her overbearing positivity for a minute. I walk into the kitchen and head over the the stove where mums cooking something in a huge stainless steel pot.

Need any help? I offer and smile.

"Thanks, but I think I'm ok." She says, flicking her wand and watching as the potatoes start to peel themselves. "Are you ok?"

Fine. Everything's just different with them, it's not the same.

"It never was going to be. I'm sorry, love, but I really wanted to fix things between them."

Don't worry. It's all going to be fine. I smile reassuringly and rub her arm. Sure you don't want me to help?

"No, you can vanish if you want, I'll cover for you or something." She grins and winks.

I smile thankfully and head up to my room. I sit by the window and take out my sketchbook, looking through the different drawings of plants and testing myself on each of their names. Something quickly flies past my window and I jump back in shock. I press my nose up against the glass and look down at the garden where four people race around on broomsticks whilst throwing a small ball back and forth.

I watch them for a couple of minutes but reel back when I catch them looking over at me. Fabian flies up to my window and taps on the glass. I open it up and look at him in confusion.

"Why don't you join us? We all know you're great with a broom even if you pretend that you're not. You can't let them get the better of you in your own home."

I'm not. I'm just tired. I lie.

"Fine. But you know you're letting them win."

They won a long time ago. I write and shut the window on him before he can say anything else.

He waits for a couple of seconds before flying off again to join the others. They look over at me a couple of times but eventually resume their game. Molly drags me out to sit in the cool winter sun and I catch up with James' parents. We talk about all manner of things and I tell them about herbology and what plants I've grown in the garden.

"And there's this girl Lily, James won't shut up about her." Fleamont says, making James cry out in protest.

Oh, I know. She's one of my roommates. I think it's only a matter of time before she succumbs to his ways.

James runs over and looks at me seriously before asking me if I was telling the truth. I nod and he does a happy dance.

I'm finally beginning to understand how obsessed with her he really is. It's not just to irate her or make fun of the situation. He really does like her. I think they'd be cute together, so I'm going to help them.

heyyyy, I don't know if those are the names of James's parents, I looked it up on Harry Potter Wiki and it said they were their names. Not sure though. Love ya'll, thanks for the couple of comments that I've received.
