Next morning was a mushy one for the duo in each other's embrace. Their lazy nap was disturbed by the continuous buzzing of Rihaan's phone. Radhika cocked her brows in disgust while Rihaan, forwarded his hand towards the side table to receive the phone call.

" Hello" Rihaan quacked in annoyance and Radhika nuzzled closer, placing her head on his chest.

" What! Is he fine? Okay. We will return today. " Rihaan gave an outrageous reply, which was noticed by Radhika.

" Is everything alright? " She questioned, holding the duvet by her shoulders and resting in a sitting posture on the bed.

" No ... Dad suffered heart stroke yesterday it seems. " He replied.

" OMG ... How is he now? " she asked, holding his hand.

" He is fine, luckily the stroke was a mild one but, I think we should leave today." He muttered.

" Yes, we will return home. " she mumbled, tightening her grip on his hand, in order to persuade him.

The duo took the immediate flight and landed back on India.

" Rihaan, don't worry. Dad will be fine. " she said yet again nudging close to him.

" May be he was busy from the last few days and was working 24*7 I guess." He hushed.

" Rihaan, I think Dad needs to take rest for some time. He badly needs some quality time which he has been longing from many days." She muttered.

" I guess you are right. Thank god, mom and dad were not in USA. It's really good that they were here establishing the new company for us." He mumbled.

With in few minutes, they reached the hospital to meet Mr.Rishab.

" Dad ... how are you feeling now? " Rihaan asked, holding the old man's palm.

" I'm completely fine. " Rishab muttered.

" We were worried about you dad." Radhika muttered, placing her hand on Rihaan's shoulder, standing beside him.

" I'm good beta. How's your trip? " asked the old man with a serine smile.

" It's good Dad. We had a great time " answered Rihaan while Radhika narrowed her gaze, blushing slightly.

" Great to know that my child. " old man said, patting his son's shoulder.

" Mr. Rishab is completely alright. You can take him home in two days." Doctor said, leaving the room.

"Thank you doctor." Rihaan muttered and followed him out of the room.

"Dad, where is mom? " Radhika asked, looking around.

"She is in the office dear. I've said that I can manage so, she went." The old man replied.

" No need to worry Dad. We are here to take care of everything." She mumbled.

" You ought to" came the stern reply from the room door.

" Mom ... I was just asking about you. " Radhika muttered, eying Rajita at the entrance.

" Hmm ... Where is Rihaan? " Rajita enquired.

" He went with the doctor, a few seconds back." She answered politely.

" Okay. You both better leave home and attend the office by 4pm " Rajit hushed.

" Yeah, sure but, Rihaan would precisely wants to spend some time with Dad" she mumbled.

" I'm here to take care of him. There is an important meeting to be attended by you people in the evening. " came the harsh reply.

" but, mom ..." Radhika was about to say something just then Rihaan said, " Okay, we will leave in few minutes" taking few steps towards Radhika.

" Rihaan, you are supposed to ... " Radhika tried to ask while Rihaan gripped her palm tight intended not to ask anything further and she gazed down in response, maintaining the calm.

" Rihaan, It's good that you heard me. I seldom repeat my words. " Rajita muttered, sitting in the chair near the bed.

" Well, you need to go through the details of the meeting, the corresponding files were already sent to your cabin." She said.

" Hmm ... " Rihaan hummed but, his entire concentration was on his Dad, who was asleep by then.

" The driver will take you to the new office and your personal assistants will guide further." She raised her tone, eying Rihaan paying no attention to her and Rishab frowned a bit, conveying his irritation caused by the raging voice.

" Can we speak in a bit lower pitch? " Rihaan muttered immediately, sensing the irritability of his father.

" Hmm ... I guess you are getting late Mr. Rihaan" Rajita spoke with a cocky smile.

" Okay, We will leave. Please take care of Dad." Rihaan hushed and Radhika who was mum according to her husband's words till then muttered, " Get well soon Dad" at the old man's left ear, caressing his cheek with a teary eyed face.

Rihaan whooshed out without eying his mom back while Radhika went and touched Rajita's feet and said, " I know that you will take care of Dad. I want you to take care of yourself too mom."

Rajita, placed her palm on Radhika's head and mumbled, " Good luck for the first day of your office beta." Which spread a small smile on Radhika's face.

The definition between the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law was changing while there was still an infinite distance between the son and the step-mother.

Radhika knowingly or unknowingly had a soft corner for her mother-in-law, probably being a woman, she understood the heart of another woman and seriously wished to make the entire family one.

Later the duo went home and after a quick fresh up and hurry lunch, headed towards their new office, initiating their professional partnership.

Rihaan was silent and Radhika muttered, " Don't worry Dad will be fine. You spoke to the doctor too right? ", holding his palm.

" Hmm ... I've never seen him this fragile earlier. " he mumbled in melancholy.

" I can understand Rihaan. He just needs rest. He will be alright. " she said again while he remained silent.

" Okay, are you excited for our first day of office? " Radhika mumbled in her sweetest tone thus hindering him to think anything further.

Rihaan smiled a bit, nodding his head and she bubbled in joy.

" I'm super excited to work with you dear hubby. " she chirped yet again.

" Me too. " Finally Rihaan muttered.

" Well, I need to see how professional and executive will my naughty hubby behave in my presence. " she said, trying hard to cheer him up.

" You know what, Rihaan is a naughty hubby at home and a strict officer at office Ruby." Rihaan said with a smirk and wink.

Radhika was more than happy seeing his love smiling after good 22hrs. She nudged closer and pecked on his plump limps.

" Best wishes from my side" she whispered against his lips, detaching a bit.

" You have a magic around you Ruby. Thanks for everything. " he muttered with a smile.
