Lucas and I pulled up to a large metal warehouse with dozens of black cars surrounding it. I heard Lucas get out if the car making me snap my eyes away to follow.

"What was he doing here?" I asked as I began to walk towards the entrance until he grabbed my elbow making me frown. "Take this." Lucas said handing me a black gun making me pull away.

"What? No-" I began to protest until he cut me off. "You need it for protection. We don't know these people who took Ethan plan. Use it under any emergency. Who knows you may not need to?" He said making me look down at it in his hand hesitantly.

"Fine." I gave in grabbing it from him slightly shocked at the weight. "Just aim and shoot." Lucas said as we began to walk making me shove it in my coat pocket. "I won't have to." I replied before we walked inside to see dozens of men dressed in black examining an area they were crowding.

There were bags and boxes of white drugs on tables as if they were ready to be shipped making me frown. I continued to follow Lucas towards the crowd of men making them notice me and stare.

"Luc, what is she doing here?" A man asked walking up to him making me look away. "She deserves to be here. And she may be able to help us find him." He answered making him scoff looking at me up and down.

"How? Does she know where he is?" He asked making another man intervene. "Stop, Sean. Lucas and Amelia know him best. She could help." The older man said making Sean roll his eyes. "We are so sorry to hear about all the things happening to you and Ethan. I wish I could say it was all unexpected behavior." The older man smiled weakly making me nod as my anxiety and worry only grew.

"Seamus." He introduced making me smile weakly grabbing his extended hand. "It's great to finally meet you. The woman who is to run everything beside Ethan. It's truly an honor I just wished it were under different circumstances." He smiled making me continue smiling at I grabbed Lucas' hand pulling softly trying to leave this conversation to help Ethan.

"It was nice meeting you too." I said through a poor fake smile as Lucas excused us and continued walking to what I can only assume is the crime scene. As we grew closer every one of the men moved to the side creating a tunnel for Lucas and me to walk towards what they were all discussing about.

My lips parted as I saw bloody footprints and pool of blood. I also saw what looked like a struggle from the dust on the floor. "I think I'm going to be sick." I whispered covering my mouth with the hand that was in Lucas'. "We don't know if that is even Ethan's blood yet." Lucas said trying to ease my worry as thoughts flooded my mind of every bad possible scenario.

"That's a lot of blood, Lucas." I breathed as I continued to look around trying to make sense of what had happened. I noticed two different shoe prints in the dust and blood until they just stop. I carefully started walking trying not to mess up the prints when I saw tire tracks peeling out.

"Ethan's car is still here." I stated mostly to myself looking away towards Lucas. "If they were trying to kill him why would they kidnap him? What would've he have been doing before everything happened?" I asked him ignoring everyone's confused stares and he answered.

"Packing up the last shipment of the week and loading it into the van." He said making me look at him again and frown. "What van?" I asked motioning to the empty warehouse of only packaged drugs.

They all filled with realization making me walk back up to Lucas. "They need him for something. If they did hurt him, they would have left him to die not take him with them. If we figure it out, we can save him before they have no reason for him anymore." I explained hating how this made sense to me and this was actually our life.

"Whoever it was had to have known he was working tonight and that he would be alone. Who would know something like that?" I asked him to ignore all the men's stares knowing they didn't expect me to actually help. "But he wasn't working alone. We aren't supposed to work alone in fear that someone will steal the money or drugs for themselves." He said as he pulled out his phone to call someone making me frown holding my baggy hoodie closer to my cold body.

"Then who was here?" I asked making him shrug. "I'm calling for the schedule." Lucas said making me nod weakly before looking over at the scene again. I hated the fact Ethan could be out in the cold hurt. I should've been more worried for his safety like he has been for me this whole time.

"Are you cold?" A young man asked snapping me out of my thoughts making me look down at my trembling hands gripping my hoodie. He held out his jacket for me to take making me smile weakly. "But then you'll be cold." I smiled at his kindness making him chuckle.

"I'm used to it. You need it more than I do right now." He said sadly making me look down at his warm leather jacket reminding me of Ethan's similar one. "Thank you." I smiled grabbing it before tossing it over my black hoodie.

"Harper said Gideon was supposed to be with him but he had to call out because of a family emergency. She doesn't know who took his shift." Lucas said coming back over to us defeated. "Is there anyone else missing?" I asked as he raked his fingers through his dark black hair.

"Nigel was supposed to drive the shipment." The man who gave me the jacket beside me said. I couldn't help but feel lost not knowing any of these people they named as I replied. "Would he want to get to Ethan like this?" I asked again making them shrug.

"Maybe. I never noticed any specific hate directed towards Ethan from him. He's just a dick to everyone." The man beside me said making Lucas scoff in agreement. "So, then what do we do now?" I continued full of worry making Lucas step closer to me.

"We are going to try to find Nigel. You are going back home." He insisted making me frown about to protest. "What? No, I need to help." I pressed as my voice grew making him sigh.

"I can't worry about you and trying to find Ethan. He will never forgive me if I let you get hurt in the process of finding him, Mia." Lucas explained softly making my eyes will with water at my nickname. "You'll call me if you find anything out?" I asked as my voice broke ignoring the tear escaping my eye making him nod.

"Yes, I will use Tim's phone since mine died." Lucas assured making me realize what the nice man's name was. I just nodded weakly making him grab my elbow softly to start walking to leave.

"Do you think you will find him?" I asked breaking the comfortable silence as he drove me home. "Yes. If it is Nigel everything, he does we will know. There is a tracker on the van in case it gets stollen. If he is smart, he would've removed it." He answered making me look away out the window to watch the sun begin to rise.

"Let's hope he isn't smart then." I mumbled making him grow silent until he pulled up to my house. I reached to open the car door when he spoke making me stop and turn to him. "Everything will be fine. He will be fine I promise. You two are strong together." Lucas pressed burning his eyes into mine.

"It's when we are apart that worries me. Don't make promises you can't keep, Lucas." I smiled weakly knowing he was just trying to make me feel better. Lucas just looked down between us making me leave the warm car.

Ugly melting snow crunched under my footsteps until I quickly made it inside my familiar home. I sighed heavily taking off my coat as I closed the door behind me with my foot as Colton and Ian rushed into the room.

"Well? What happened?" Ian asked making me take my hair out of my ponytail. "Ethan has been kidnapped. Lucas took me to see where it had happened. I insisted I stayed and helped them all, but he didn't want me to get involved." I explained making my way into the living room to sit back down on the couch with my warm blanket.

"He's kidnapped? By who?" Colton asked quickly as they followed me. "I don't know. They are thinking it was some guy named Nigel." I answered nonchalantly as I began to pick at the skin around my nails.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you so calm? Aren't you worried?" Ian asked full of confusion and offence making me look up at him and scoff. "Of course, I am worried, Ian. I hate not knowing what is going on, if he is even okay, where he is." I listed as I stood letting my blanket pool at me feet.

"But I am angry. Angry with myself for not being more worried for his safety before this. Angry with this entire messed up organization. Angry with Ethan's whole family that actually think this whole thing is worth all the money and power they have. Angry at Ethan for getting himself in that situation and not being more careful." I beamed as my voice shook and tears fell down my face, but I ignored it as I continued.

"And I am angry that we can't live in fucking peace! Everyone everywhere seems to have an agenda with Ethan and his family. All I want is to be happy and safe with the people I care about. I could care less about anything else but apparently everyone cannot handle that. They all enjoy the pain and suffering we have all endured to leave all this." I finished completely exhausted as Ian and Colton looked at me full of worry and pity making me look away and wipe my tears.

"All I want is to not live in hiding anymore. All I want is to stop lying to everyone I meet about who I am and my life story. I just want to be happy. I don't understand why that is so difficult for us." I sobbed to Ian making him walk up to me before hugging me tight.

I continued to cry into his chest as he held me until we heard a loud knock at the door.
