"Where are we going?" I asked hesitantly as my captor pulled me harshly out of the old dusty cabin.

It has been a few days since I had realized my way to survive this place and being with this man. I was filthy covered in dust, sweat and blood. My diner dress was ripped at the hem and my hair was now out of its ponytail. My once beautiful dark blonde hair was now tangled in nots and specks of blood.

As he pulled me through the cabin, I realized that I was kept in a basement for all this time. Once we were outside my eyes met with the harsh sun making me wince as I quickly shut my eyes.

He ignored my question as we continued shuffling towards his car. As my eyes adjusted to the light, I noticed were we were. I looked around at the dirt road into the miles and miles of trees. I looked behind me as his grip hardened making me quickly look away to try not to fall beside him.

After he harshly threw me in the passenger seat he quickly walked around to the driver's side. I thought about locking him out of the car or anything else I could do to get away from him when I realized he has the keys.

I looked away from him as he slid into the car before pulling out of the driveway. I fiddled with my hands as I looked outside the window desperately trying to find any sign or landmark to find out where I was. After what felt like an hour, I looked away defeated.

I looked down at my trembling hands. My hands and knees were covered in cuts and bruises. Dust from the basement covered parts of my skin making me sigh and look away. God only knows what I must look like right know.

I decided against thinking about where and what Ethan was doing. It pained me too much to think about how me must be trying to find me. How upset he must be at Colton and I. And himself. I knew he blamed himself every time something has happened to me. But I know none of this is his fault.

I knew how paranoid Ethan was about me getting hurt again. I knew that people, mainly women, in gangs got kidnapped for ransom. I knew there was a chance I could be kidnapped again but I shoved that aside. I was too caught up in Ian and Ethan and I's baby to be thinking about anything else. It was naive of me to think nothing else would happen since I had already been kidnapped twice. I just silently hoped that all this was behind me. Obviously, I was wrong.

As I looked back up out the window, I saw a 'leaving Connecticut' sign making me fill with nerves. "Where are we going?" I asked again breaking our almost three hours of silence.

"The council wants to meet you." He stated never tearing his eyes away from the road. I decided against asking him more about where exactly we were going not wanting him to hit me again in annoyance. He obviously wasn't shy about showing his hatred towards women.

As I looked back onto the busy highway, I realized we were now entering New York. I wondered how Ethan would be able to help me this time. Will he know to look for me in New York? Does he know another gang is interested in meeting me? Would I have to be the one to somehow get myself out of this situation?

I silently thought about why this other council would possibly want to meet me. Were they affiliated with Ethan's gang? If so, why wouldn't they just ask to see me?

I thought about all the possible outcomes of what could happen with meeting them. What they would say or do. What I would have to say or do in return. The thought of being introduced to another gang's council made my palms sweat and my heart race. I knew I would have to be on my best behavior and have to say all the right things.

My rambling thoughts were cut off by him pulling into a parking lot. I quickly shot my head up making me frown at the large fancy hotel ahead of me.

"If you so much as look at another person I will kill you. Stay quiet no matter what anyone may say to you." He threatened making me look over at him. I nodded hesitantly making him quickly exit the car before walking over to my side.

As he opened my door, he grabbed my arm harshly as he looked around the parking lot. He quickly let go of his hold but continued to stay close beside me as we entered the luxurious hotel. We walked up to the counter where a young man stood.

They both exchanged pleasantries before the man asked if he had a reservation. I ignored them as I started to look around the hotel.

I ignored how beautiful this lobby was as I tried looking for any exists or anyone staying here. I knew I wouldn't go rushing towards them, but I silently thought about it before I felt him grab my elbow.

He pulled me into an elevator before pressing the number five button. I jumped ae I heard the bell ding telling us our floor had arrived. He instantly rushed out the elevator before walking swiftly down the maze of hallways.

Once he finally stopped and let go of his hold on me, I looked up at our room number. I silently remembered the number in case it would become important before he shoved me inside.

"Take a shower. Here." He demanded before handing me a pair of clothes. I frowned just now realizing he had a duffle bag with him. I let go of a breath I didn't know I was holding as he let go of my elbow before walking over to the door.

He locked every single lock before I realized there was a lock with a key from the inside making me frown. I quickly ignored it before walking inside the bathroom.

I shut the door firmly before fiddling with the doorknob. I quickly realized there was no lock making my lips part in confusion. I looked around the bathroom looking for anything heavy to cover the door. Tears collected in my eyes as I realized there was nothing making me clear my throat trying to stay strong.

I hesitantly got undressed for slowly stepping into the shower. The hot water instantly easer my aching muscles and stung every cut on my body. I tried desperately to take a quick shower as I washed my hair and body ignoring the need to slow down and enjoy this comforting moment.

As I quickly dried myself, I grabbed the clothes he gave me. They consisted of an oversized black tee shirt and sweatpants. I quickly put them on before walking over to the mirror.

My hair was now finally clean as it laid wet and wavy against my back. My eyes were dull and red from my lack of sleep these past few days. I tore my eyes away from my reflection before I put my shoes back on and grabbed my dirty and ripped diner uniform.

My hand shook as I reached for the doorknob making me stop my hand in midair. My trembling fingers hovered over the doorknob making me take a shaky breath before opening the door.

I looked in the room to see the man on his phone as he looked out the large window showcasing the city. "Just tell him we are on our way." He spoke as his back stood to me making me look away not wanting him to get upset I was overhearing them.

"Fine." He replied into the phone before hanging up making my breath hitch as he turned to face me. "Finally. Let's go." He breathed in annoyance making me frown as he grabbed his things.

My heart stopped as I saw him grab a gun from his duffle bag before pulling it behind him shoving it into the waistband of his jeans. He rushed towards me before grabbing my arm to leave.

We were now back in the car as he started driving making me look out the window. I ignored all the foreign buildings and taxi cabs not used to these busy and crowded streets.

After a few minutes he pulled into another parking lot making me look over at him as he slid out of his car. He grabbed me again as he continued to walk up to the large glass doors not letting go once, we made it inside making me frown.

He continued walking swiftly towards another elevator making me frown trying to concentrate on not tripping over my feet. After a few minutes, the doors opened revealing a large office building. Every wall was glass revealing the city below making me even more nervous at how high up we were.

He didn't give me long to look around before we walked into a large office with glass walls separating it from everything else. It was obvious whoever worked her had immense money and power and wanted to prove it. My thoughts were cut off as someone spoke making me stop looking around me.

"Ah, Alex." An older man beamed making me frown. "Hello, Father. Here is the girl you wanted." My abductor, Alex, replied making the man nod lightly.

"Thank you. You may leave." His Father replied making me frown as the man who put me through Hell these past few days silently left the room. "Amelia, yes? You may call me Martin." He introduced making me realize he had an English accent making my confused frown deepen.

"What am I doing here?" I asked with newfound confidence making him smile amused. He slowly moved around his desk making me step back as he stalked towards me. "I've been told that you are a civilian. How on Earth did you get caught up in our lives?" Martin asked amused with a sly smile.

"'Our'?" I asked hesitantly making him chuckle. "I thought you claimed to know everything about the gang you are in. Am I wrong to be worried?" He asked as his amusement quickly faded filling me with fear.

"No. I understand that you are affiliated with Ethan's family." I corrected hesitantly making him nod as his smile returned. "Ethan. He is a strong man from what I remember. I'm sure he will make a great leader one day." He stated making me look away from him.

"Well, enough pleasantries. There are some people who want to see you." He stated making me frown as he made his way behind his desk before grabbing papers off his desk. I looked around to see empty offices that looked identical to Martin's making me frown.

"Follow me." He demanded sternly as he walked past me making me do as I was told. I wanted to try my best to somehow get back to Ethan and Ian.

I continued to follow him until we walked up to a wooden door. Different then all the other glass doors to every room. My heartbeat faster as he pushed the door open revealing a large conference room. This room was the only one without glass making me realize this was where they discussed matters, they didn't want people to see.

There was a long oval table seating maybe fifteen people making me cross my arms trying to separate myself from them. A large tinted window was in the middle of the wall across from them making me frown before someone spoke.

"This must be Amelia. Nice to finally meet you." An older woman beamed with a fake smile making me nod still confused as to why I am here. "We understand that you are dating someone in the William's gang. Can you please explain to us how that came to be?" She asked calmly as everyone burned holes into me making me frown.

"We went to school together. We started getting to know each other before he asked me out." I answered in a duh tone as someone beside her began writing. "Are you aware that it is a rule for people in their gang to be seen talking or interacting with civilians?" She asked again making me nod before I looked back at the window confused. I ignored the feeling it gave as someone else spoke.

"You claim that you know everything about the William's. How is this possible?" A younger man asked as Martin moved away from me to stand next to the door behind me. I immediately filled with fear knowing I was held here against my will.

"I learned." I answered making him frown in annoyance. "How?" He asked sternly as everyone continued to stare up at me. "Someone taught me." I said making him stiffen in anger.

"Who?" The young man asked making me shake my head lightly. "I won't answer that. He told me trusting me that I wouldn't tell anyone." I replied sternly making him frown. Before he could protest the previous older woman cut him off.

"What exactly do you know?" She asked making me frown. "Why? So, you can see how much of a threat I may be? Am I not allowed to ask anything as to why I am here?" I asked annoyed making them shocked or annoyed that I spoke back to them.

"Yes. Our job is to protect gangs into making sure nothing will affect them. That the city, state, or government won't affect any of them in any way. But apparently the William's family sees you as a threat." The woman explained sternly never tearing our eyes away from each other's.

"I am not a threat." I stated making her smile coldly. "We will determine that." She replied making me fill with nerves as she looked back down at her papers to continue questioning me.

"How many of Ethan's family members have you met?" She asked making me grow silent. "All of them." I answered hesitantly making everyone look up at me again.

"You have met their entire council?" She asked making me nod. "I have met his parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles during their Halloween and Christmas party." I explained making her eyes widen before she masked it.

"At the time did you know what he was affiliated with?" Another woman asked who seemed to be a few years older than me making me frown. "At the Halloween party I didn't." I answered as I started to feel a slight cramping pain making me wince. I quickly ignored it as they continued.

"When did you find out?" She asked making me clear my throat trying to ignore the uncomfortable feeling. "That morning." I answered honestly as the man next to the older woman continued writing everything I said.

"What would I have to say to make you all believe me that I am not a threat? That I don't care about what my boyfriend may or may not be affiliated with. I don't care about his family or what they do at all. I'm sure you all have more pressing matters at hand that don't involve someone like me." I stated full of annoyance. "What do you mean by 'someone like you'?" The older woman asked making me sigh.

"A civilian. The exact opposite of a gang member." I answered annoyed as my cramps grew making me frown. "I understand that Cynthia gave you money to leave her son. Would you reconsider?" She asked making me roll my eyes.

"No, I won't." I answered sternly making her nod. "Even if we were to double it?" She asked again finally looking back down at her papers. "Yes. Millions of dollars don't compare to being happy with the person you love." I stated before I closed my eyes and cleared my throat trying to suppress the pain in my stomach.

"What will it take for you to leave the William's gang?" She asked making me scoff as I looked at her. "Don't you understand? I want to leave. More than anything. I don't want to worry about my safety or his or whether or not today is the day he will die. I just want to be with him without having other interfere." I explained begging that they would understand.

"You shouldn't be asking what it will take for me to leave. You should be asking them what it will take for them to leave us."
