"I-I'm so sorry. I-" Ethan started making me shake my head quickly to ease his worry. "Don't be. It's alright." I replied sternly making him rake his fingers through his hair.

He stepped away from me before pacing a few times making me frown. "What's wrong? Did something happen yesterday?" I asked softly not wanting my words to worry him even more.

"My Mother. Her and the town council created a new rule. That civilians and gang members can be together." He stated finally looking at me again making me frown. "Isn't that a good thing?" I asked more than stated making him sigh as he harshly raked his fingers through his hair again.

"Maybe to others, yes. But not for us. The fact that you are a civilian was my way out to leave my inheritance. My Mother knew I was on the edge of leaving causing her to create it." Ethan explained making me look away for a moment. "You need a reason to leave your inheritance?" I asked making him nod weakly as he walked towards me again.

"The fact that I am a civilian is the reason why you wanted to leave. But now that it is okay you don't need to leave. Isn't this still a good thing?" I asked making him smile softly before answering. "That wasn't the only reason." Ethan replied as one of his hands ran around the back of my neck pulling me closer.

"I want a life with you. To be happy and safe. To not have to worry about our safety and our children's. To not be surrounded by death and corruption all the time. We can't have any of that while we are here in this organization." He stated softly making me nod lightly against his hand knowing he was right.

"Then how else are you going to leave?" I asked again making him sigh. "I don't know. But I will figure it out." Ethan stated sternly making me nod softly again.

"I love you. I'm so sorry you had to see me like that yesterday. I promised myself you never would." He breathed making me look up at him. "Is that common?" I asked making him look away in shame making me frown.

"Almost every time I get waisted. When I get drunk, I become angry and rude. I don't know why I just always have. I used to always get into fights at bars and with friends. It doesn't make any sense because I am not an angry or aggressive person sober. So, I just vowed to myself that I would never get drunk enough to keep it from happening." Ethan answered not looking down at me making me place my palm against his cheek softly.

"It's alright. Thank you for telling me. Seeing you like that will never change my perception of you, Ethan. I know the real you. I will help you. I will help whenever you feel you need to get drunk and fight. I will always be here for you to help you. You yelling and saying rude things will never keep me from loving you, Ethan." I breathed never tearing our eyes away from each other's.

"I love you. I don't deserve you." Ethan stated as he ran his thumb softly across my cheek. "Yes, you do." I replied leaning into his embrace before colliding my lips against his.

Ethan and I were now in bed after spending the whole day alone together. I couldn't help but think about how to help Ethan into leaving as I laid under the moonlight as Ethan held me from behind.

His head was nuzzled into the crook of my neck making me smile softly as his hand roamed my stomach softly. I continued to get lost in my thoughts as I looked up at the beautiful glowing moon.

I had a few theories as to how Ethan can leave his family's gang. I remembered one of their rules stated that you must stay into the gang you are born into. Yet he is only born into it because of his Mother. Shouldn't the fact that Victor is a civilian mean anything? Can that rule be more lenient towards Ethan?

"Stop thinking so hard." Ethan whined softly against my neck making me smile. "Sorry." I whispered making him kiss the nape of my neck.

"Are you ready for school tomorrow?" Ethan breathed against me making me smile. "More than ready. I need some normalcy in our life right now." I replied making him chuckle behind me.

"Do you remember that day you were showing me around school?" Ethan asked making me turn over to face him. "How could I forget?" I replied through a smile making him smile back down at me.

"After a few times I had met you I changed most of my classes to yours." Ethan confessed making me frown remembering how annoyed I was at how many teachers we shared. "Are you sure you're not a stalker?" I teased through a smile making Ethan roll his eyes.

"I wanted to be your friend because you interested me. And not to mention how absolutely stunning you are." He breathed as he raked his hand around my waist pulling me closer making me smile up at him. "And I knew it would be easier to get to know you if we had the same classes." Ethan continued making me smile up at him again.

"How sneaky of you?" I teased again making him chuckle before placing his soft lips against mine making me smile against them as we kissed. "How about Leah for a girl?" He asked as we pulled apart making me continue to smile softly.

"Or Harry for a boy?" I replied making him nod lightly as he moved a strand of hair away from my face. "Or Declan and Eve." I continued softly through my smile making him chuckle.

"They are all beautiful." Ethan replied making me lean into him to drift to sleep. "It's going to be hard to choose." I confessed as my eyes slowly closed making him run his fingertips along my bareback under my tee shirt.

I heard him whisper "I love you." Before I finally fell asleep effortlessly against him.

I woke up alone in bed making me frown as my eyes adjusted to the sunlight streaming in. The door opened as I sat up revealing Ethan with a tray of food making me smile.

"What's all this?" I asked as he placed it in front of me. "Breakfast." Ethan stated making me smile wider at the pancakes and fruit beside a cup of orange juice.

"Thank you. You didn't have to do all this." I stated as I started eating a strawberry. "I know." He replied making me chuckle softly before I started eating.

"Are you nervous for today?" Ethan asked making me shrug. "It's just school. One day closer until we finally graduate." I replied making him nod as he continued to sit across from me.

"How did you get home?" I asked breaking the silence making him snap from his thoughts. "One of the guys I work with. A couple of them were drinking with me." He answered instantly making me feel better knowing he hadn't drove.

"How long were you sober for?" I hesitantly asked not wanting to make him uncomfortable. "Two years." Ethan replied instantly making my lips part in surprise before I quickly masked it.

"Next time call me when you're upset." I said as I placed my palm against his cheek softly making him nod. "We should get ready." I suggested as I sat up with my empty tray making him take it from me.

"I'll be right back." He said as he walked out of my room with my finished breakfast. I walked over to my dresser before picking out my outfit for the day.

I grabbed a pair of jeans and band tee. I got undressed before changing into them making me frown. As I pulled up my jeans, I realized the zipper and button no longer fit around my stomach. I hadn't worn my jeans in a while since I normally just wore my work uniform or loose pajamas.

I grunted desperately wanting my button to reach around my stomach. I continued to strain myself in annoyance when I heard light chuckling making me stop and look up.

I saw Ethan's amused smile making me fight mine as I let go of my grip on my jeans. "They don't fit." I stated the obvious making him walk over to me with his large smile. I ignored the feeling of warmth filling my body from it as he spoke.

"Just wear a pair of leggings or sweatpants. Just until we buy new pants." Ethan said making me nod hesitantly. I started taking off my jeans before pulling out a pair of black leggings.

As I finished getting ready for school, I ignored all my thoughts and worries about what Ethan and I will do when the baby comes. Will we have to move in together? What will happen to Ian? How could I leave Ian alone while I go and live with Ethan and our child?

"Ready?" Ethan asked as he sat on my bed making me nod as I finished tying on my shoes. I grabbed my phone and black hoodie before walking downstairs with Ethan. I saw Ian in the kitchen eating breakfast making me fill with nerves. I quickly shoved it aside before I spoke.

"Do you need a ride?" I asked Ian as I threw on my hoodie and grabbed my book bag. "No, Trevor is on his way." Ian answered not looking up from his phone making me nod.

"See you later." I mumbled as Ethan and I made our way outside. "I could probably go until my full term before he looks up at me and realizes I'm pregnant." I joked as Ethan drove us to school making him chuckle.

"Don't be fooled. He cares about you very much." Ethan stated making me sigh before looking out the window. Then why can't he do a better job at showing it?

Ethan and I were now sitting at lunch talking when Rebecca and her two friends walked up to our table. "Hey! How were your holidays?" She asked as she sat across from us making me smile.

"Definitely not boring." I answered remembering our night together finding out I was pregnant. "Lucky. I spent the day with Rick's family. And it definitely was boring." Rebecca groaned in a hushed tone making me chuckle.

"There is a party this Friday. Do you guys want to go?" Penelope asked making me chuckle. "Who throws a party the first week of school?" I asked making Heather roll her eyes as Rebecca and Penelope laughed lightly.

"Popular guys, of course. They don't care about getting good grades." Rebecca answered making me smile weakly. "Sorry, I can't. I work." I replied making Heather smirk as they nodded lightly.

"Where do you work?" Penelope asked confused knowing not many people here have to work. Because they don't need to. They mainly do as a punishment from their parents. "Ray's Diner down the street." I replied making their faces light up.

"I love that place! I didn't know you worked there." Rebecca said making me smile weakly. "I'll give you free fries if you catch me there." I joked lightly making her and Penelope chuckle.

"Rick and them are calling us over. We'll see you later." Rebecca said with a smile before they all walked over to their boyfriends. "Do you work today?" Ethan asked as we walked to class making me shake my head.

"No, thankfully." I chuckled lightly as we walked hand in hand down the crowded halls. "What makes you think Ian cares about me?" I asked hesitantly after a few moments of silence.

"Just the things he said when we were 'bonding'." Ethan teased making me smile weakly. "Like what?" I asked again making him look down at me.

"Just know he cares about you. Ian would do anything for you."
