"Hey." I said weakly as I hesitantly walked into Ian's bedroom. "Do you work today?" I asked as he sat on the bed on his phone.

"No, I'm off. Why?" Ian asked not looking up at me making me smile weakly. "Well, I-I was hoping you and Ethan could go to get something to eat. O-Or something." I answered nervously as I moved towards him. Ian looked up at me confused making me fill with even more nervousness.

"You were serious about us getting along? You must really like him." He stated amused making me sigh. "Please just be nice. Get to know him and if you still don't like him then... w-we can work from there." I negotiated making him look up from his phone again.

"Okay, okay. I said I would so I will." Ian stated as he reluctantly stood shoving his phone into his pocket. "What time?" Ian asked taking me off guard not.

"In an hour." I answered failing to hide my confusion making him smile. "I love you. And if you love him then I will try to get along with him. No matter how annoying and awkward it will be." He said the last part full of annoyance making me smile.

"Thank you, Ian." I said making him nod before I started to leave his bedroom. "Please be nice." I pressed again making Ian roll his eyes trying to fight his smile before shutting the door on me. I rolled my eyes before walking back into my bedroom.

"What'd he say?" Ethan asked as he leaned against my headboard still only in his sweatpants. "He agreed. I told him in an hour." I answered making him nod.

"I thought maybe the mall. But I you two can decide yourselves." I continued nervously making him smile as I sat across from him. "I will tell Colton to come over before we leave." Ethan replied making me roll my eyes in annoyance.

"I don't need a babysitter, Ethan." I stated making him smile amused. "It isn't for you. It's for me. I need to know you will be safe while I am gone. And I trust them to do that." He explained as his smile slowly faded making me nod.

"Are there people who are still trying to find me to get to you? Your family?" I asked softly making him sigh as he readjusted on the bed. "There will always be people who will want to kidnap you to get to me. To get whatever they want from me because they know you are my weakness. I would do anything to keep you safe and everyone knows it." Ethan stated making me nod hesitantly.

"So, I will always have babysitters?" I asked with a weak smile making him nod. "Yes." He answered simply making me look away from him.

"Only when I am not here. Unless they are still needed." Ethan continued making me smile weakly again sensing his nervousness. "O-Okay. That's fine." I replied hesitantly making him ease as if a weight has been lifted from him.

"You should start getting ready." I suggested as I stood up from the bed before grabbing my diner uniform. "You work today?" He asked more than stated making me nod as I walked into the bathroom.

"Until five." I replied as I got undressed before changing. I frowned as the dress felt a lot snugger around my stomach than the last time I had it on. I ran my palm over my stomach as I stared at myself in the mirror.

"I'll need to ask for a new uniform." I muttered as I quickly snapped from my thoughts. I could feel Ethan's eyes on me the whole time I got ready making me ignore the feelings it caused as I walked back into my bedroom.

"Thank you for trying to get along with Ian. It means a lot. I just hope it all works out." I confessed as I realized he also stood dressed for the day. "Of course." Ethan replied making me smile weakly before grabbing my phone and messenger bag.

We were met with Colton and Ian in the kitchen making me sigh. "Hey, Colton." I said with a weak smile making him smile back. "We'll see you later." Ethan said as Ian stood making me nod before he placed a small kiss on my lips.

I could tell Colton had questions, but he waited until they left the house. "Where are they going? I thought Ian hated him." Colton stated as we made our way out the house also.

"He did- does. That's why they are going out today. I-I was hoping this would give them a chance to get to know each other." I explained making him nod as he held the passenger door open for me. "Ethan must really love you if he agreed." Colton stated as he started driving making me roll my eyes playfully.

"When are you off?" He asked as we walked into the diner making me smile weakly. "Five. I'm sorry if watching me is taking up your time. Believe me I wish Ethan wasn't this paranoid too." I chuckled softly as I tried on my apron silently glad it covered my tiny baby bump.

"You aren't taking up my time. I don't have the same responsibilities as Lucas and Ethan. If any." Colton stated making me nod remembering all the things he has shared with me. "And he isn't paranoid. His worries are all genuine, Amelia. His family and other family's that are rivals of ours will continue to kidnap you to get whatever they can. It happens all the time with couples in higher power." Colton explained making me frown as I aimlessly cleaned the counter.

"Will I always have to worry about being kidnapped?" I asked worried making him sigh looking away trying to find his words. "If Ethan ever leaves his inheritance or you both move where no one knows you then no. But as long as you two are together and living here you'll be in danger." Colton explained making me fill with nerves and fear by the minute.

"Thank you for always telling me the truth. Ethan and Lucas always beat around the bush." I stated making him chuckle as I poured him coffee ignoring my trembling hands. "You're welcome." He replied making me smile weakly.

Ethan's POV

Ian and I were now driving in awkward silence making me sigh softly. "Does Mia know everything about what you do?" Ian asked bluntly making me look over to him confused.

"Yes." I answered honestly as I continued to drive making him grown silent again. "What do you do?" He asked again making me try to find my words.

"I don't think she will be pleased with me if I tell you." I stated making him scoff softly. "How are we supposed to get along if I don't even know what it is you do?" Ian replied making me sigh heavily again.

"I used to oversee our... Inventory. Now I mainly do office work with my Mother." I answered making him hum in reply. "Thank you for saving her when she was mugged. And all those other times she was in danger. Even if you were the cause of them." Ian muttered the last part making me grow silent.

"I hope you understand all the things Amelia does for you." I said as we walked around the mall in silence. "Of course, I do." He replied making me look over to him.

I decided against pressing him not wanting to start arguing. "Her birthday is next month. I suggest you buy her something now before you forget." Ian stated making me roll my eyes at his tone.

"I already have her gift." I stated making him look over to me confused. "Are you rich? All the mafia people in movies are rich." Ian asked making me roll my eyes again.

"No. My family is rich." I stated making him scoff. "That's what a rich kid would say." He stated making me fill with annoyance.

"If you're so rich then why won't you help her with our bills?" Ian asked again making me sigh. "She doesn't want me to. Amelia wants to support you herself." I answered making him look over to me again.

"Why?" He asked barely above a whisper making me shrug. "You're her brother. Only living relative. She wants to work for everything she needs without getting special treatment from me. And she doesn't want my family's blood money." I stated never looking over to him as we continued to walk around aimlessly.

"That's stupid." Ian muttered making me shrug again deciding not to reply. "Why were you so keen on wanting to be her friend at first?" He asked full of amusement making me smile softly at the memory of her when we were getting to know one another.

"I liked her. She interested me." I answered simply making him hum in reply. "She usually has the opposite effect on people." He stated making me chuckle.

"H-Has she talked about their death at all?" Ian asked after a few minutes making me frown. "Yes." I answered looking over at him finally as he avoided my gaze.

"Why does she blame herself?" He asked softly making my heart break as his green eyes finally met mine. "She was sick at the time and she called them to come home early. She blames herself because she thinks if she hadn't, they would still be... Alive." I answered honestly making him stop walking. I frowned as I turned to see him staring at me confused.

"What? That's not why." Ian stated making me frown as I stepped towards him. "I told them to come home early. They- She really thinks that?" Ian asked making me frown as I nodded.

"Oh, God." He breathed as he ran his fingers through his dirty blonde hair. "Then why were they coming home early?" I asked making him look up at me full of sadness.

"They were surprising her. They lied about the parent teacher meeting. They were at the pet store when they got our calls and came back home deciding to buy her a cat another time." Ian stated making me frown as I stepped towards him again trying to think.

"Why haven't you told her?" I asked making him sigh. "It would've just made her even more upset. And either way she still would have blamed herself." Ian stated making me look away knowing he was right.

"She still deserves to know, Ian." I stated making his eyes furrow. "Don't tell her. It will only make her more upset knowing the truth." He replied sternly making me frown in annoyance.

I was about to reply when he cut me off. "If you really want to make her happy, you'll keep this between us. And show her how well her plan worked for us to get along." Ian threatened making me frown as I filled with so much frustration.

"What she doesn't know won't hurt her more than she already is. My sister doesn't need more heartache in her life. The fact that they were going to buy her a pet will only make her even more heart broken." Ian stated sternly full of sadness making me sigh knowing he was right. "Fine. But I'd rather be honest about if we like each other or not. I made her a promise to be honest." I stated making him nod as he started to continue walking making me follow.

"And if she asks, I will tell her the truth." I continued sternly making him look over to me before nodding hesitantly. "Why is she acting so weird? Now all of a sudden, she wants us to get along. You two have been dating for months." Ian asked breaking the silence as we began to eat.

"She sees how awkward we are around one another." I answered simply making him scoff lightly. "She must be serious about you if she really cares about what I think." He stated making me frown.

"Of course, she cares about what you think." I replied making him roll his eyes. "Amelia was so distraught when we started dating. She was so worried for what you would think of her for dating. Dating someone like me. She puts you before anyone else and she loves you more than anything. She cares dearly of what you think of her and us." I continued making Ian look up at me confused.

"Are you really so blind you can't even see your sister's love for you?"
