I heard the door open as I continued before I felt someone grab my hair from my face. I leaned my forehead against the toilet seat too tired and waisted to care about the germs.

"I think I'm dying. I'm so gross." I groaned making the man run his fingers through my hair softly. "You're anything but." Ethan replied making me look up at him.

"You're right. But you make me feel it. Every time you look at me or touch me I-I feel- I feel disgusted." I confessed making Ethan frown as his eyes held so much hurt and guilt.

"I feel disgusted with myself. Because I know I should be upset. I-I should be angry and furious. Filled with sadness and regret whenever I see you. But I don't. I-I feel the exact opposite. Which makes me angry and disgusted with myself." I confessed before looking away from him making Ethan stay silent.

"What can I do?" He replied full of so much sadness making me look up at him. "What can I do for you to forgive me?" Ethan asked softly making me look in his deep brown eyes.

"I need to know why you told them. Why you intentionally ignored my wishes and told everyone you knew. You broke my trust and I need to know why even though the thought of knowing the truth about you scares me." I answered honestly as I became more tired by the minute. I looked away from him before trying to stand up.

Tiredness consumed me making Ethan quickly stand to pick me up. Ethan walked towards the backyard to avoid the crowds. "I wish I hated you." I mumbled before I instantly passed out as the cold night's air hit my skin.

I woke up in my bedroom making me groan as I held my head. The sun was just starting to rise making me wince as my eyes burned against the sunrays. I tried to remember last night's events making my headache worsen. I grabbed my phone from my pocket making me frown as I saw missed messages from Ian.

'Hey, where are you?'

'Are you okay?'

'Should I be worried? I can't find you.'

'Where the fuck are you?'

'I'm on my way home. Ask Rebecca or someone for a ride.'

Ian texted making me frown in confusion as I tossed my phone on my nightstand. Ian didn't bring me home. Then who did?

I saw I had other messages from two other unknown numbers making me frown. I ignored them as I got out of bed. I held my forehead as I stumbled towards my dresser. After I got dressed in pajamas, I slowly made my way downstairs.

"Morning." Ian said making me wince. "Be quiet." I mumbled making him laugh as he ate cereal.

"How did you get home last night?" He asked as I drank a large glass of water. "I don't know." I answered in a raspy voice making him frown.

"Maybe it was one of those guys you were hanging around. Or maybe you walked home." Ian replied making me look at him confused. "What guys?" I chuckled making him shrug.

"Will and Peter." He answered instantly making me close my eyes as I started to remember. "Why the fuck did I drink so much?" I muttered as I leaned my elbows on the counter. I held my head in my hands as Ian chuckled softly.

"You were having fun. It was nice to see." Ian confessed making me sigh. "Oh, and I bet this is just wonderful to see the aftereffects of me 'having fun'." I replied bitterly making him chuckle again.

"What happened last night?" I asked as I looked up at Ian. "What do you remember?" He asked making me sigh as I rubbed my temples.

"I introduced you to Rebecca. She introduced me to her friends. I left to get a drink when I met... Peter and Will. We did a keg stand and... that's where it gets fuzzy." I confessed making him nod lightly as he continued to eat.

"Seems about right. After that you guys did beer pong where Will and Blake won. But then I lost you soon after." Ian explained making me frown lightly as I continued to try to remember. "I don't know. Hopefully Rebecca saw me waisted and took me home." I groaned making him nod with his mouth full.

"What do you wanna do today?" Ian asked making me groan from the sound of his voice. "Sleep." I groaned making him chuckle.

"Are you sure? I was thinking about going jogging if you wanted to come with." He replied as his voice grew loud making me squeeze my eyes shut. "Fuck you." I muttered making him laugh as I walked upstairs.

Once I made it to my room I stripped from my clothes before stepping in the shower. After I finished getting out of the bathroom and quickly slid under my warm covers. My phone vibrated making me open my eyes to grab it. Once I opened it, I frowned in confusion.

'Hope you feel better.' Ethan texted making me turn off my phone and place it back on my nightstand. Why did he text me? How does he know I'm hungover? Did he bring me home? As I continued to think I started to remember bits and pieces from last night.

'I wish I hated you.'

'Every time you look at me or touch me, I feel disgusted'

'You're anything but'

'You broke my trust and I need to know why even though the thought of knowing the truth about you scares me'

'I know I should be upset. I-I should be angry and furious. Filled with sadness and regret whenever I see you. But I don't. I feel the exact opposite.'

I groaned at myself for saying all those things to Ethan. I was secretly hoping I would believe that everything I confessed was false and was just me being drunk but I knew better. I knew every word I said was the bitter truth as I drifted to sleep.

I woke up to the sun setting making me frown as I ran my palm over my face. I looked at my bedside clock that read seven making me groan. I hesitantly sat up away from my warm bed before I started getting ready for work.

"When are you off?" Ian asked as he ate a leftover dinner. "Eleven thirty." I answered as I grabbed my school bag before throwing my hair in a bun. "See you later." I said before I close the front door behind me. I drove as the radio played softly making me get lost in my thoughts.

Why did I say all those things to Ethan? What does he think of me now? Does he think I still like him? Will he now continue to try to explain his situation to me? Should I hear him out? But if I do, will we ever be the same? Will him telling me the truth change anything?

I pulled the hem of my dress down as I rushed inside the diner. "Hey, Amelia." Nick said to me as Chloe sat on the counter painting her nails. "Hey." I breathed as I shook the snow from my uniform before hanging my coat on the hanger by the door.

"Has it been like this all day?" I asked them making them nod. "A group left a few minutes before you got here. But other than that, yeah." Chloe answered making me nod.

"But it's going to get busy soon." Nick replied making Chloe and I groan. He chuckled as I started sweeping the floors. "Do you guys have any aspirin?" I groaned as I held my forehead slightly.

"Rough night?" Nick asked making me wince not wanting to continue spiraling. "Did Ethan spend the night?" Chloe teased making me tense as I finished sweeping.

"Who's Ethan?" Nick asked quickly making me shove the broom away. "I went to a party. Needless to say, I drank too much." I mumbled the last part making Chloe chuckle.

"In my locker. I'll get you some." She said as she hopped off the counter before walking in the back. "Who's Ethan?" Nick asked again as she left making me look away from him.

"Just a guy." I replied as I leaned my elbows on the counter and held my chin in my hands. "H-Here you go." Chloe said from behind me as she cleared her throat making me stand straight. "Thank you." I groaned as I took the bottle before grabbing a glass of water. As I swallowed a few aspirin Chloe walked over to the jukebox.

'Stand By Your Man by Tammy Wynette' played as she pressed a few buttons. As I listened to the lyrics, I realized I related to parts of the song making me fill with guilt.

Even though we weren't dating for very long I should have trusted him. Even though he has broken my trust maybe I should have at least heard his side of the story. Why he did the things he did and why he has been lying to me. Maybe I should have calmed down to trust and stand by him.

As the hours passed it started to become busy. Nick and I were clearing booths as Chloe kept the people waiting for a table. While Chloe took her break Nick and I were now the only one's seating people making my feet start to hurt from all the pacing.

"Hey, what can I get you?" I asked asked with a smile as I walked up to two men and a young woman waiting for me. "Black coffee with eggs and bacon." The man beside the woman said making me nod.

"A burger with fries, a chocolate shake with extra whipped cream and a slice of apple pie" The other man said with a flirtatious smile. My eyes widened slightly at his order, but I just ignored it as I nodded after writing it all down before looking over to the beautiful brunette woman.

"Uh, can I have pancakes with orange juice please?" She said smiling up at me making me nod. "They will be right out." I replied with a smile before walking away.

I gave the receipt to the cooks before I stood with Nick. "Is he your boyfriend?" Nick asked breaking the silence making me frown. "Who?" I asked making him roll his eyes. "Ethan." He answered making me sigh as I looked out the windows ahead of me.

"No. Just a guy from my school." I answered as I watched the snow fall under the yellow streetlights. "Do you have a boyfriend?" Nick asked again as I felt my phone vibrate making me pull it out.

'Can we meet up later?' Ethan texted making me frown as I tried to think why he would want to talk so late at night.

'My house. I'm off at eleven thirty.' I replied hesitantly before shoving my phone back in my apron. "Sorry what?" I asked Nick as I looked up at him again.

"Boyfriend. Do you have one?" He asked making me hesitate as my lips parted. I was about to reply when the bell rang telling me the flirtatious man and the couple's food was finished. "Here you are. Enjoy." I said to them as I placed their food softly on the tables before walking away.

It was now almost eleven thirty as the diner began to close. "Do you work tomorrow?" Chloe asked making me chuckle. "Of course." I answered making her laugh lightly as we cleaned the tables.

"I think Nick has a thing for you." She stated making me look over to her. "What? No way." I replied making her chuckle as I finished cleaning.

"Oh, please. It's so obvious." Chloe said making me roll my eyes. "I highly doubt it. He has a girlfriend." I stated making her laugh as I started grabbing my things.

"Just because he is dating doesn't mean he doesn't have a thing for you." She replied making me roll my eyes again. "Shut up. He is just a friend." I groaned making her smile as she looked up at me putting on my jacket.

"I'll see you tomorrow." Chloe said making me smile before I closed the door behind me. I pulled my jacket tight around my torso trying to keep warm before I unlocked my car.

I threw my bag on my passenger seat before I slid inside. I let out a sigh as I untied my bun making my hair fall down my shoulders. I was about to start my car when the passenger door opened making my head snap.

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked him as Ethan shook the snow off his jacket. "We need to talk." He said making me roll my eyes.

"Yeah, at my house. Not in a sketchy parking lot." I said making him sigh as he raked his fingers through his hair. "I need to apologize and tell you the truth. About everything." Ethan stated making me look away from him in annoyance.

"Not here, Ethan. Get out of my car." I said sternly as I started the car. "God, you're so stubborn." He muttered making me roll my eyes.

"Fine. But I'm not giving you a ride back to your car." I stated as I pulled out the parking lot. "Is there a reason why this can't wait until tomorrow?" I asked annoyed. I drove with one hand as my other held my head up against the window.

"I've waited long enough. You deserve to know." Ethan answered making me sigh as I raked my fingers through my hair. "Why? I don't want to know anything anymore. We barely even know each other and that doesn't need to change." I stated becoming tired as I pulled into my driveway.

"Yes, it does." He replied as I unlocked the front door making me sigh. All the lights were out making me realize Ian must be out with his friends. "Why?" I asked again making him fill with annoyance.

"Shut up and let me explain." Ethan replied making me roll my eyes. "Is this supposed to be you apologizing?" I asked as I tossed my book bag on the counter.

"God, you're so annoying." He said making me roll my eyes. "That's what happens when you insist to tell me everything as I'm hungover at midnight." I replied making him roll his eyes as he tried to contain himself.

"Don't you want to know what happened last night? Why I've lied and what my family and I are involved in? I will tell the truth about everything you ask." Ethan said seriously never tearing his eyes away from mine. "No." I lied as I turned away from him into the kitchen before, he grabbed my arm.

"You can't deny what we have, Amelia. What happens when we touch." He started as he shoved me against the wall. One of his hands pinned mine behind my back making me try to pull away. "You can't deny the feeling of our skin meeting. When our eyes meet." Ethan continued in a husky voice as his fingertips ran up my bare thigh hiking up my dress.

"You're the only girl I want. The only girl I have ever cared about. Do I have to prove to you just how much I care about you?" Ethan asked as I felt his hand grip my waist. I closed my eyes trying to prevent myself from giving into him feeling his breath against my face.

"Answer me, Amelia."
