Telling someone the truth about a murder that they'd been arrested for is not easy. The four of them had to.
Adam and Jake were seated on their couch, patiently waiting for one of them to speak.

Lana was sitting opposite the guys, one leg bopping up and down, pinching her lips with her fingers and eyes focused on the floor.

"Are you gonna talk? Or did you bring us here to stare at us?" Adam said.

"Do you know where Jessie is?" Jake asked next.

"That's why we asked you to come." Bethany said.

And Colton started telling them everything from A to Z. Liam and Bethnay helped him out, but Lana remained quiet.

"If that girl is alive, and we find her, I'm killing the bitch myself." Adam said through gritted teeth and started walking fast towards the door. Only to be stopped by Liam.

"That's not a very good idea." He said.

"Look we can all agree what she did affected all of us, and it was messed up, but we have a chance here, a chance to-" Colton was saying but Jake cut him off.

"Forget it. Tell me you can actually forgive her for what she did and I'll agree on anything." He said.

"I'm not asking you to forgive her."

"I know what I went through in there, I was arrested for her murder when she's not even dead! I was played, tricked, she messed up my life, she ruined it."

"Which is why we want your help. She did it to all of us. Us as much as you. Together we can put a stop to it." Liam said.

"You make it sound like we're the Avengers." Adam said.

"All for a pathetic plan of revenge." Jake shook his head.

"Lana, you've been quiet long enough." Bethany said.

Lana's eyes shut up and she looked at all of them one by one until her eyes landed on Jake. She quickly averted her gaze back to the floor.

"Are you okay?" Colton asked her as she stood up.

Lana nodded with a half smile then walked to the kitchen.

Colton sighed then sat next to Jake on the couch.

"Go." He said.

"Excuse me?" Jake said.

"Just go." He nodded his head as a way of approval.

Jake hesitantly stood up and walked to the kitchen as well. He saw Lana sitting on one of the stools, head facing down and holding it between her hands, like if she let go it would explode.

"Lana." He said.

"I can't help but wonder what would have happened if you hadn't cheated on me." She said then looked up at him.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what else to say anymore."

"She made you cheat on me, I get that, but that doesn't mean you didn't cheat Jake, you cheated. I know she lured you and tricked you into going there, but you had a choice, you could have not gone there, but you did, you're wrong, you made a mistake. Your willpower to cheat was stronger than your willpower to stay loyal. It's easier isn't it? To make a mistake than to make sure you don't." Lana said.

"I know, I get that. But that didn't, and still doesn't change the fact that I love you." Jake said.

"I love you too Jake. But I'm in love with Colton. Ending it with you, and all this, made me realize that."

Jake nodded his head as Lana walked towards him. She stood in front of him shoulder to shoulder and held his hand as a tear rolled down Jake's cheek. She leaned in closer to his face and placed a kiss on his wet cheek that caused hers to get wet as well.

As a tear rolled down from her eyes as well, their tears met in between their pressed cheeks.

"Goodbye Jake." She said and walked away wiping away her tears as she made her way up to her room.

"I'll go." Bethany sighed with a smile and followed her.

Not long after Jake came out of the kitchen and went straight to the door and left.

"I better go too. Thanks guys." Adam said.

"Are you in?" Liam asked.

Adam nodded and they shook hands before he left.

***

Two days later.

"I got it." Lana said practically running to the door.

"Where is she?" Liam asked.

Lana handed him the piece of paper she was holding and he smirked at them after reading it.

It was 11:47 pm at night and the six of them made their way to the address written on the piece of paper.

They found Jessie. They were actually going to meet the dead girl.

Once they arrived, an abandoned house waited for them. It was old and wrecked but you could tell someone paid a visit few times a month.

They walked closer to the house and started looking around the front porch. A source of light was coming from inside the house and the door was slightly open.

Colton pushed it open with his finger, and they were greeted by the ghost herself.

"Welcome to the haunted house bitches." Jessie, herself said, standing in the middle of the living room.

Widened eyes and yellow faces were left frozen at their exact spot. Even though they knew what was coming to them, it was still a shock to see the person they saw getting burried standing right in front of them, living and breathing.

Carla was sprawled on the couch, smirking at them like she's the boss, not a single clue to what's about to go down. She was the reason they went through everything. It was all for revenge. For her.

"Make yourselves comfortable." She said gesturing for them to come in.

Liam pulled Bethany towards him and walked in further into the house, and the others followed them. Colton held Lana's hand as they went to stand at one corner of the room.

"Okay, stand." She shrugged.

"How could you." Jake was the first to speak. "Why?"

Jessie sighed, pursing her lips. "I can't apologize for what I did. I won't. But why? You'll see in a bit."

"Nice to see you again." Carla said standing up next to Jessie.

"See this all started in high school. I know, what doesn't start in high school right? Anyways, I won't get into details but, I got robbed, my best friend and my boyfriend stole all my money."

"What are you doing?" Carla asked confused, but she ignored her.

"See, they left me high and dry, I was betrayed, so I promised myself to get even."

"Jessie what is going on?" Carla yelled.

"You fucking betrayed me." She yelled right into her face, pointing her finger at her. "Anyways, that doesn't matter now."

She took a small statue from the table and smashed it into the coffee table. Glass flew everywhere. Then she took one of the broken glasses and cut her arm, then one side of her face.

"The fuck are you doing?" Carla yelled at her, scared of her actions.

"Do you remember when you kidnapped me Carla?" She said while taking a rope out of a bag and threw it on the couch.

She took out dirty, ripped clothes.

Carla's lips started trembling and she was about to cry, she held her head in between her hands trying to figure out what's happening.

"Do you remember when you made everyone think I was dead? When you stole a dead body then burned it and made it look like mine? Faked my death because you kidnapped me?" She said through gritted teeth as she undressed herself and put on the dirty old clothes.

"Jessie what are you doing?" She said now fully in her crying mode.

"Do you guys remember saving me from my kidnapper Carla?" She said looking over at them, while placing a duck tape on one side of her face, as if she had just managed to get it off her mouth.

None of them spoke a word.

"Guys please, you know I'm not doing anything, I didn't do anything, I, I'm." She crouched down and burried her face in between her legs and cried.

Jessie sat down in the chair placed in the middle and started tying her legs to the chair.

"Tie me." She said to Carla.

"No." She cried more shaking her head.

"Tie me up." She yelled throwing the rope at her.

"Please no Jessie, don't make me do this. I'm sorry, what are you doing?! Please." She begged.

"How was Paris Carla? How was Spain? Did you bring your best friend a souvenir?" She gritted out. "You made my life hell!"

"I'm sorry. Let me go, stop this and I won't tell anyone."

"Too late baby girl. Tie me up or I'll make this worse."

Carla reluctantly took the rope from the ground and started tying her to the chair.

"Why do all this?" Lana asked.

"Because dear Lana, revenge is sweet."

"Why not just prove to the police that she stole your money." Liam said.

"Because that's not fun. I want her to suffer. Like she made me." She said.

"This got out of line, Jessie." Bethany said.

"Everyone has a different way of revenge."

"What about us? What makes you think we're gonna go along with your story? What makes you think we're not gonna tell the truth of what actually happened here?" Colton asked.

"Because your asses are mine. I have all I need to put you in jail. Proof, of Lana hacking into the police station's security system, Liam, stealing a laptop from a murder investigation. And Bethany and Colton of being accessories to these crimes." She said.

"What about us?" Jake asked.

"Haven't you done enough to us?" Adam said. "What more could you do?"

Just when she opened her mouth to say something, there was a knock on the door.

"Help! Help!" She started yelling. "The show must go on." She smirked at them.

The door opened revealing two police officers and Josh Herman.

"Please officer, help. My name is Jessie Louis." She was fake crying.

Carla was seated on the floor, crying, thinking her life was over.

"I know who you are." Josh said. "Jessie Louis, you are under arrest."

"What?" She said eyes narrowed. "Why am I under arrest? I was kidnapped and tortured, all my friends and family thought I was dead. Because of her, Carla Donovan." She cried and yelled.

"So we've been told." Josh smirked.

"What is going on?" Jessie yelled frustrated.

And suddenly a girl walked in from behind Josh.

"Surprise bitch." Melanie said.

The look on Jessie's face was unexplainable. She was mad, furious, it was like the floor cracked and swallowed her in, she couldn't say a word, she froze in her place as the two officers untied her and handcuffed her. Her eyes widened and nose flaring fire, she couldn't comprehend what had happened. All the plans she had made for her revenge went crumbling down. Instead of playing them, she got played instead.

Melanie had told them everything, from A to Z. From the first day she met her until now. Every little, single detail.

Josh Herman came and talked to them after they took Jessie away. They gave him their statements and walked away free. He told them taking into consideration what Jessie had done, she would at least go to jail for five years, but what little information they could gather on her, Jessie had some mental issues and would possibly be placed in a mental hospital and leave when she gets better and is longer a threat to anyone.

Carla had to go to jail for two years only for stealing the money because she cooperated and gave the money back. But could get out early on good behavior.

The red and blue colors of the police cars outside the house filled the entire street, reflected on their faces as they walked out of the house.

"We did it." Melanie said approaching them.

"Yeah, we did." Colton said nodding his head.

"I guess now we're, free?" Bethany said.

"How are we supposed to do normal now?!" Liam said.

"What happens now?" Lana asked.

"Well, I have to go to jail for a while, but I'll see you then and maybe we'll go to a party like normal college students?" Melanie said and they all gasped.

"Jail?" Liam asked.

"Come on Liam, you're a lawyer you should know, I'm an accessory to many crimes. But because I came clean and helped them close two cases, they are giving me an early leave, I'm going away for six months." Melanie explained.

They said their goodbyes as the officer took Melanie to a police car, she turned around and smiled to them before the officer was going to push her head into the car. But before he could do so, a voice interrupted both of them.

"Melanie!" Tony came running towards her.

"I'm sorry you can't go there." Another officer stopped him.

"I'm her lawyer." He said and came running towards her. "What is going on?" He looked at the officer holding her hands behind her back ready to cuff them.

"Let her go. Let them be for a second it's okay." Josh said.

The officer nodded and stepped back a few steps leaving them standing there in the middle of the street.

"Liam and the others told me everything." He said panting.

"I'm sorry." She said.

He nodded cupping her face. "Six months?!" He rested his forehead on hers.

"I'll see you then." She smiled.

"I love you." He kissed her.

"I love you too." She said.

The officer cuffed her hands then put her in the car.
The others joined Tony as the car pulled away and drove off. They waved her goodbye with smiles that they hadn't used for months.

The lights still reflected through the entire street as police officers and detectives ran around trying to gather more evidence.

"Let's get out of here." Colton swung his arm around Lana as the six of them walked to their cars and drove off back into their lives.

THE END.
