Don't worry lol I'll update ONYX next, y'all are just impatient af (in a good way) and I feel bad making you wait for an update.

Also, extreme violence coming.

Like, EXTREME.

Wilson turned back around, like he was about to make a break for it, like the coward he is.

"Run if you want, Wilson, we both know I'm faster and I love to hunt my prey," Cain snarled. "Since I didn't go looking for you, the Blood Oath is void and I have every right to tear you apart where you stand."

Thane, come quick, please, I pleaded through our mindlink. Bring Axel and Leo, tell Onyx and Gwen to stay inside.

What's going on? He asked, worry flooding through his voice.

Wilson, I choked out.

Wilson's eyes darted in every direction, trying to figure out how he was going to escape us. When he took a step in the opposite direction, a white mist surrounded him, leaving him immobile.

"Wilson, you're a hard man to find," Thane said calmly as Cain took a protective step in front of me. "I must say, I'm surprised you're dumb enough to come to a location with three Alphas who want you dead."

Wilson looked like he was trying to talk, but unable to open his mouth. "Wolf got your tongue?" Thane antagonized him, smirking, his eyes black.

Axel and Leo grabbed Wilson by both arms and dragged him to one of our SUV's throwing him into the back at Cain's order. Axel and Leo climbed into the SUV on both sides of Wilson, trapping him. Axel used his Gift to turn his arm completely metal. Leo had all of his claws out, ready to tear his throat out at any given moment.

"Ares, go inside and get Onyx and Gwendolyn. Drive back with them, Thane and I will take Wilson back to Blue Moon with Leo and Axel," Cain commanded me, and I hissed. I'm not letting him out of my sight until he's dead.

"Ares, go. He's not getting away. I need you to go protect the girls and get them back safely," Cain ordered harshly.

I knew he was right, but I had been terrorized by Wilson in my dreams for so long, I wouldn't feel better until his head was severed from his body. I summoned a small, thin knife, and walked to the SUV.

I leaned over Axel and shoved the knife into Wilson. Tell him the blade is half a centimeter away from his heart, and if he so much as flinches, he'll bleed out on the spot, I hiss to Axel, who nods seriously.

I glare at Cain before going into the club, where Gwen and Onyx are sitting on a couch in the corner. I can see a small knife in Gwen's clutch, ready to kill anyone who so much as looks at them in any way that could be perceived as threatening.

Let's go, I tell them, and Gwen asks, "Did you catch him?"

I can't help the sadistic smile that crosses my face as I say, We got him.

I speed the entire way back, desperate to get my hands on Wilson. I immediately drive to the pack prison, where Cain told me they had him.

I practically fly out of the car, bolting inside, where I find Cain, Thane, Axel, and Leo looking into the cell where Wilson is chained to the wall in thick silver chains, triple wrapped for maximum security.

Thane, you'll want to get Onyx out of here for this, I warn him, as Gwen and Onyx were following close behind me.

"Axel, Leo, go take Onyx and Gwendolyn back to the pack house," Thane commands, and they nod, intercepting both of them and leading them out.

Open the door, I tell Thane.

"Ares," Thane hesitates before saying, "Make him suffer."

I nod solemnly, and Cain enters the cell with me. I can feel his anger, his rage through the bond. He wants Wilson's pain as much as Thane and I.

I summon a machete, twirling it in my hands expertly. Wilson stared at me with a blank face, but I could see the terror in his eyes.

Without warning, I chop off half of his foot. He screams, but the sound is music to my ears.

Due to his Alpha healing, after a few painful minutes, his skin heals over the nub of his foot. I hack off the remainder of his foot at the ankle, and do the same to his other foot.

He's still screaming, but I'm so elated, I can't even hear it. I continue to repeat the process. Hack, heal, hack, heal. At some point he passes out, and I simply stare at him until he comes to again, and the process repeats. Hack, heal. Hack, heal.

I'm soaking in blood by the time he is barely a person, only having his torso and head. Thane and Cain observe, but make no attempt to stop me nor join me. All the better, I wanted all of the blood spilt to be my doing.

When he's left without any limbs, barely conscious, I stand over where he's laying on the floor. I summon the knife that Thane give me, too focused on Wilson to be impressed by the fact that I was able to conjure the exact same knife he gave me, not a replica, but the exact same one.

Wilson's eyes flash in recognition at the knife, but he doesn't say anything. I carve a few decorations into his face, and use the knife to stab his eye. The eye remains embedded in the knife, and I scrape it off, looking into the deep hole in his face where the eye used to reside.

He passed out, and reawoke for the last time. I took the knife and stabbed his stomach, over and over again, just like he had done to me in all of my nightmares.

I lost all concept of time and reality as I plunged the knife into him until I was covered in blood and sweat.

"Mate," Cain said softly behind me. "He's dead. It's over."

Thane was looking at the scene, a blank look on his face. His face didn't change as Cain gently guided me out of the cell. Once we were outside of the cell, looking at Wilson's scattered body parts and his blood that coated every inch of the floor and wall, Cain set fire to every piece of him until he was reduced to ash.

Cain was gentle as he picked me up, carrying me in his arms. As we walked out of the prison, I was surprised to see that the sun was already in the sky. We had been in there all night, and well into the day.

We walked in silence back to the pack house, and half way through, I gasped aloud as an unfamiliar sensation rushed through my body.

I struggled, flailing to get out of Cain's arms. I dropped to the ground, crawling as pain racked through my body. My canines descended, and claws dropped.

I got control of it, and withdrew them, but they came out again as my wolf was going berserk from the pain. But pain wasn't the only thing coursing through me.

Power.

Cain's POV:

"Ares, what's wrong?" I asked panic as she erratically thrashed in my arms. I set her on the ground, where she immediately crumpled.

She began crawling, and I saw her claws sinking into the soil. They receded, but a moment later, they were back out again.

I could see her spine curve upwards, and her body began shaking. Her eyes were flashing from grey to black every few seconds.

"Thane, what the fuck is happening?" I asked him, fear dripping in every word.

"She's the Alpha now," Thane remarked breathlessly.

How could I forget? When Ares killed Wilson, she became the Alpha of Red Crescent. All of the power of an Alpha was being transferred to her, all at once.

Ares began shaking, and shifted into her wolf. Not just her normal wolf, but now, a much larger, much stronger version.

Just as soon as she shifted into a wolf, she turned back into her human form. She immediately threw up, and when I went to comfort her, her wolf took over again and she shifted.

This went on for some time, Ares shifting back and forth from wolf to human. Thane warned all of his pack members to stay away from the area.

I felt completely helpless as my mate went through the transformation. After hours went by, she turned human once more, and her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she passed out on the floor.

I ripped off my shirt and wrapped her in it as I held her in my arms. She was breathing deeply, and I could hear her heartbeat. Beating stronger than it ever had before.

We went back to the Pack House, where Axel, Gwen, Onyx, and Leo were anxiously waiting.

"Is she okay?" They all simultaneously asked, and all I could do was nod before I took her to our room. I gently laid her on the bed, not taking my eyes off of her the entire time she rested.

Whatever muscle she had lost while staying at Blue Moon had redeveloped, and she looked like she was glowing. It didn't escape my notice that all of her scars had healed, even the one that went down her eye.

I could barely contain my wolf. All of my instincts were going into overdrive to protect my mate, and my wolf was about to fully take over when she finally opened her eyes, and they were both a bright silver, no longer was one white.

"Cain," She whispered.

It was the first time I had ever heard my mate say my name out loud.
