Ray POV:

Ray was thoroughly enjoying her time with Hoseok in the studio. He was funny and made her laugh. She couldn't help but grin when he directed his bright smile to her. It made her happy, but at the same time a bit nervous. She was starting to have feelings for him, but kept thinking about what Soobin had told her. BTS fans were fiercely protective of their idols. They were also under contract with their company, unable to date anyone.

Ray continued to watch Hoseok work with his equipment. She asked questions about what some of machines were for and he seemed too happy to give her a demonstration. He asked a little more about her work and offered to take her to the Banpo Bridge Thursday since she was off of work. Ray was surprised that he still wanted to go with her, but agreed anyway. She really liked spending time with him.  They made plans to meet there at 8:00. He said he had a special spot he wanted toshare with her.

Although Hoseok was friendly as usual, she could tell he had something on his mind. He would open his mouth as though he wanted to say something, but would close it and shake his head to stop himself.

Ray finally put a hand on his shoulder, forcing him to face her. "What's going on Hobi? I can see something is bothering you," she said.

"It's nothing important," Hoseok said, his cheeks turning pink.

Ray eyed him suspiciously. "I don't believe you, but it's fine. If you don't want to tell me, I get it. You're entitled to your privacy," Ray replied.

After a few moments, Hoseok spoke up. "Ray? Can I ask you something?" Hoseok asked, his voice sounding a little nervous.

Ray nodded. "Sure Hobi," she replied. "You can ask me anything."

"Umm... well... doyoulikeyourcoworker?" Hoseok said in a rush.

Ray's eyebrows lifted in confusion. She let out a small smile as she realized what he had said. "No. Why do you ask?"

Hoseok's cheeks turned red. "We were getting chicken and saw you out with him. He... he hugged you," he mumbled, looking down at the beaded bracelet on his wrist.

Ray smiled at his response. "Hobi, are you jealous?" she asked, laughter in her voice.

Hoseok looked up quickly, his cheeks flushed in embarrassment. "No," he quickly denied.

Ray raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh?" she asked.

Hoseok looked down then looked back up at her. "Okay. Maybe a little," he said. "I can't help it. I like you."

"What?" Ray asked, a look of surprise on her face.

"Why are you surprised?" Hoseok asked. "I never talk to girls. I've never given a girl my phone number. And I've definitely never invited a girl to my studio." Hoseok took a step towards her and took Ray's hands. "I like you Ray. A lot. And I know you probably don't feel..."

Hoseok's words were cut off as Ray moved forward, entwining both arms around his neck and dragging his lips to hers.

Hoseok POV:

Hoseok couldn't believe what was happening. He stood there in shock for a moment before giving over to the softness of her lips. Hoseok wrapped both arms around her waist and pulled her even closer. He moved his lips against Ray's, deepening the kiss. He ran his tongue along the seam of her lips then let out a groan when she opened her mouth to him. He stroked his tongue along hers, loving the breathy moans that came from her.

After what seemed like only seconds, Ray pulled back, a look of surprise on her face. "Oh my gosh, Hobi! I'm so sorry," she whispered.

No no! Why is she apologizing? he said to himself, panic filling his chest. He didn't want her to regret the beautiful moment they just shared. "Wait... why..." Hoseok began.

"I didn't mean to do that! I'm so sorry," Ray interrupted, cutting off Hoseok's protest. "I... I've got to go." Ray grabbed her bag and mask from the desk then darted out of the studio before Hoseok could even speak.

Hoseok dropped down on his desk chair, a pang of hurt stabbing his chest. Why had she run out? Why did she apologize? Did she not feel the same way? Hoseok's head was pounding with the questions in his mind. Did he just mess everything up with her?

Hoseok ran a hand down his face then realized his cheeks were damp. He quickly wiped the tears he didn't know were falling then moved to shut down his equipment. He turned at a knock on the door. Had she come back?

Hoseok went to the door, opening it with a smile on his face. The smile dropped when he noticed Jimin at the door.

"Wow hyung. I thought you'd be happier to see me," Jimin said, a fake pout on his lips. "What did you do to Ray?"

Hoseok looked at him in surprise. "What do you mean?" he asked.

"Well she ran out of here like the devil himself was on her tail. She didn't even let Jung Min take her home. She was out the door before anyone could say anything," Jimin replied.

Hoseok ran a hand through his hair. "I... I... I told her I like her," he replied, his cheeks flushing.

"Damn you tell a girl you like her and she runs? That's not good," Jimin said, shaking his head.

"Ray didn't run until after she kissed me!" Hoseok blurted out then quickly closed his mouth when he realized what he had said.

Jimin stood there in shock for a moment. "She kissed you? Then what happened?" he questioned, a smile lighting up his face.

Hoseok tried to return the smile but it fell short. "She apologized and ran out," he said softly.

Jimin pulled him into a hug, rubbing his back. "Awww Hobi. It's going to be all right. She was probably embarrassed and didn't want you to think she was throwing herself at you," Jimin said comfortingly. "Sometimes I think you forget that you're an idol. Especially where Ray is concerned."

Hoseok nodded his head thoughtfully. "Do you really think that? I mean... I don't want her to regret it. I liked it. I really liked it. I've been able to think of nothing else but kissing her for weeks," Hoseok said.

Jimin continued to rub his back for a moment then pulled away to look at him. "I know you like her Hobi, but you need to remember that she is leaving. She's not staying in Korea. Don't do anything stupid like falling in love with her." Jimin's mouth dropped open at the look on Hoseok's face. "Damn it."

Hoseok shrugged in response. "It's too late for that," he said quietly.
