Ray POV:

Ray woke early the next morning to get ready to go to the studio. She was curious as to why Hobi had invited her. She took a quick shower and let her long, light brown curls dry naturally. She dressed in ripped jeans and a bright pink t-shirt. Since fall was coming to Korea, she added a pink, black and white flannel shirt. She put on her shoes by the front door and grabbed her purse.

Ray headed down to wait for the car that was supposed to pick her up. Within minutes, a black SUV with dark tinted windows pulled up in front of Ray's building. A man in a dark suit and dark sunglasses stepped out of the vehicle and approached her.

"Ms. Ray?" he asked in halted English. Ray nodded. "I'm one of the boys' managers, Lee Jung Min. Hoseok sent me to pick you up. "Right this way Miss."

Ray was startled. Hoseok had said someone would be coming to get her. She didn't realize he was sending one of their managers. Ray followed Jung Min to the SUV and waited while he opened the passenger side door. Ray slid into vehicle and he shut the door. She put her seatbelt on as he got in on the driver's side.

The ride to the Big Hit building was fairly quick. Jung Min asked about her purpose in Korea. He raised an impressed brow when she mentioned she was studying architectural engineering. He pointed out some of the more impressive buildings in Seoul, understanding she would appreciate them.

Ray explained a bit about her current project and Jung Min listened with interest. He agreed that the Banpo Bridge was a stunning example of architecture and asked if she had gone out to see the lights yet.

"I have not yet," Ray replied. "Only the photos."

Jung Min nodded. "Should definitely see them in person. Beautiful and worthwhile."

"I will make sure I see it before I leave," Ray said.

Jung Min pulled into an underground parking garage at the Big Hit building and led Ray to an elevator. They took the elevator up to the lobby. Jung Min waved at the receptionists sitting at the desk and led Ray to another bank of elevators. He pushed the button for the desired floor and the elevator rose quietly.

When the doors opened, Hoseok was leaning against the wall. He had on a dark blue shirt and pair of black joggers. Ray noticed the light sheen of sweat on his forehead and his hair was damp. Clearly they had already been working hard. Jung Min and Ray stepped out of the elevator and Hoseok rushed over to them, stopping directly in front of Ray.

Hoseok stood there for a moment, before reaching out and taking her hand. "Wow," he said. "You look beautiful."

Ray giggled at his response. "Thank you," she replied.

Hoseok blushed and let her hand go. "I mean... I only ever see you at the restaurant in your uniform with your hair tied back."

"Thank you for inviting me. I've never seen a dance practice before," Ray said.

Hoseok smiled. "I'm glad you came," he took her hand again to lead her into the studio.

Before they left, Jung Min stopped her. "It was nice to meet you, Ms. Ray. Good luck on your project."

Ray thanked him and turned to Hoseok, who had a frown on his face.

"What project?" he asked.

"My engineering project. I had to choose a structure or building in Korea for an analysis. Your manager asked me what I was doing in Korea and I explained about my current project. He was very helpful when I explained I had chosen the Banpo Bridge. He mentioned I needed to see it at night," Ray explained.

Hoseok nodded. "I agree with Jung Min, but how come you never told me about the project," he asked, the hurt evident in his voice.

Ray shrugged. "I guess it just never came up."

Hoseok went to say something else, but the door to the studio was flung open, startling Hoseok and making him drop Ray's hand.

Jungkook was standing in the open doorway. "Noona! You came!" he said excitedly. He took her hands and pulled her into the studio. The other guys greeted her with smiles and waves. Jimin winked at her, which made Ray roll her eyes. Jungkook pulled her over to a chair placed near the wall. "Here, sit down," he said, before sitting on the ground at her feet.

Ray smiled at Jungkook's eagerness. "What will you be working on today?" she asked.

Jungkook smiled at her interest. "Some dances from our new album. We have a concert in two weeks and we need the practice. I want to be perfect," he said.

Ray patted his shoulder. "I'm sure your dancing is amazing."

Jungkook flushed at her touch then looked down bashfully. "Thanks. I hope so. Are you going to the concert?" he asked hopefully. "There's one on Friday and one on Saturday."

Ray shook her head. "Sorry, JK. I work both nights and it's almost impossible to get them off on such short notice. Plus, I'm sure tickets have been sold out for months."

Jungkook looked disappointed. "Oh... well... I could have gotten you a ticket. We each have several in case our families want to come. My parents can't make it this time, so I have extras."

Ray patted his shoulder again. "Thanks for the offer, but I just can't make it this time," she replied.

Jungkook sat next to her for a moment, talking about what they would be doing before being called to practice.

Ray noticed that Hobi had not said anything to her since they stepped into the studio. He was leaning against a mirror on the opposite side of the room talking to Namjoon, looking in her direction with a frown. Ray sent him a small smile and he gave her a tight one in return. Ray looked away from him wondering what that was all about. When she arrived, he was all smiles and happy mood, but now it looked as though he regretted inviting her.

BTS POV:

Hoseok watched Ray interact with Jungkook. The maknae had grabbed her hands and pulled her into the room and away from him. Ray was supposed to be his guest, not Jungkook's. He didn't understand why Jungkook was taking over.

Namjoon leaned on the mirror next to him. "Stop glaring daggers at Jungkookie," Namjoon said quietly. "He is just being friendly."

Hoseok sighed. "But I invited her, not Jungkookie," he said, a whine in his voice.

Namjoon looked over at where Ray was talking to Jungkook. The younger man was asking her a question with a hopeful look in his eyes, but then looked disappointed at Ray's response. "Ray is just being nice to Jungkookie. Remember not too long ago she didn't say much to us at all," Namjoon reminded him.

Hoseok shrugged. "I'm sure you're right, but I like her Joon. I really like her," he said quietly. Hoseok caught Ray's eye from across the room. She gave him a small but genuine smile and he smiled tightly in return, causing her smile to drop in confusion.

Namjoon patted his shoulder. "Glaring at her isn't helping your case. But you also need to remember she's not staying in Korea. She'll be leaving in June."

Hoseok sighed again. "I know, but I want to spend the time with her before she leaves. We still have plenty of time."

Namjoon patted his shoulder again. "Do you want me to talk to her? Get a feel for if she likes you or not?" he asked.

Hoseok shook his head quickly. "No. I don't want to know right now if she doesn't."

Namjoon pushed away from the mirror. "Let's get started. Impress her with your dance moves first," he said with a smile.

Hoseok joined the other members in the center of the studio. They had planned to do a run through of the songs in the first set of their concert. Hoseok put all thoughts of Jungkook out of his mind and tried to get his mind to where it needed to be. He noticed Ray's eyes were on him and he wanted to impress her.

After going through the choreography for "Dynamite", "Black Swan", and "ON", Hoseok grabbed two water bottles and joined Ray. He dropped on the floor next to her and handed her one of the waters.

"What did you think?" he asked, opening the bottle and drinking half of it down.

"I must say I'm impressed," Ray admitted. "You were really good. You're very talented."

Hoseok smiled at her response. "There were some things that I didn't like, but that's why we practice so much," he said.

Ray smiled at him as he grabbed a towel to wipe the sweat from his face. "I definitely couldn't tell," she said.

"Thanks. I've better get back to practice. Namjoon is strict on taking breaks," Hoseok said with a sigh. "Are you bored?"

Ray shook her head. "No, actually I'm not. I've been enjoying watching you."

Hoseok nodded in response and headed back to the center of the room, with a smile on his face. He was feeling happy that she had complimented him. She had said he was talented. Hoseok caught her eye and sent her a sunny smile and a wink. Ray blushed and returned the smile. Hoseok went back to practice happily.
