I survived?

"I really hoped there'd be no escaping death this time." She shook her head in disappointment.

What?

"What do you mean?"

"You must be truly lucky. I heard the last person that took that poison became a vegetable but here you are moving without any help, but at least there's no more baby." She let out a cackle causing me to flinch.

Leo must have noticed my shock and swooped in front of me.

"So it was you after all," He shook his head. "What is wrong with you?" He raised his voice.

"What about you? What's wrong with you?" Emilia raised her voice back causing me to take one step back.

Emilia who is usually so composed and calm looked like a totally different person. Her face was a bright shade of red with veins popping out of her skin.

"Get a load of this bitch!" Rachel cussed. "Do you have any idea about what you've done?! You deprived two people the joy of being parents you psycho!" Rachel stormed over to where she was.

"Leave it Rach!" Tim held her arm. "I'm gonna call 911." Tim took out his phone.

"Why do you have a grudge against me?" I asked from behind Leo.

"It's not you." She answered harshly. "It's him." She pointed at Leo.

"What did I ever do to you, you lunatic!"

"You didn't love me!" She screamed. "All through high school, I had a crush on you but you never cared about me! You fell in love that weirdo Riona right in front of me! I admired you from afar but my feelings for you only grew into this obsession."

I gasped.

Has she been following Leo since they were in high school?

"Wha-"

"I even had to pretend to be Riona, the woman I despised so you could at least feel something towards me but you didn't. You went and you fell for her!" She pointed at me.

"I made you think we slept together thinking I'd be able to blackmail you into staying with me but that didn't work either and then when I finally heard you two talking about a divorce during the holidays; I was elated, but then you both came back and worse, you both were in love. I planned for months to get rid of her but my plans were futile."

"So you decided to kill my baby because you were obsessed with me?" Leo questioned her.

"I never thought I could do that but yes, you turned me into this! Why couldn't you just reciprocate my feelings?!"

"Reciprocate your feelings?" Leo yelled. "What the hell, I didn't even know you existed."

"Yes you did! You asked me to sit with you at lunch one day! How can you not remember? I was the most popular girl in school!"

"I don't remember!"

"Kara."

Leo paused for what seemed like a while before recognition clouded his features.

"Kara? You're the one doing all this? What the hell! I expected so much better from you."

"I don't give a shit about what you expected from me." She yelled and ran to Leo. "Why can't you love me? What do I have to do for you to love me?!" She cried as she held both sides of Leo's cheeks.

I suddenly felt a charge flow through my body. I walked over her, grabbed her by her arm, turned her to face me and slapped her across the face.

"Don't you dare lay your disgusting hands on my husband you demented psycho!" I screamed.

She placed her palm on her now red cheek and turned to face me with death glares but I didn't look down.

"Don't you ever hit me again!" She charged towards me but Leonardo grabbed her by the arm.

"You killed my baby because of an obsession to a married man? You're disgusting and incredibly stupid!" I slapped her again.

"You've wanted to kill me even though I had nothing but pure intentions towards you!" I hit her again.

"You don't belong in jail, you belong in a mental institution!" I slapped her again.

"Winter, that's enough." Leonardo turned to me.

"I'm not finished."

My gaze fell to Emilia/Kara whose face was red from the slaps she has been getting."You killed my baby!" I slapped her harder across the face.

"Winter that's enough! The cops will be here any moment. You could be fined or even be jailed for harassment." Rachel reasoned with me.

"You really think I give a shit about getting in trouble? She's a murderer."

"I think it's the cops!" Tim peeked through the glass window.

"Let me see that." Leonardo walked over to Tim's direction.

"At least now she-"

I paused when I realized Emilia was missing. "She ran away." I panicked.

"Let's find her quick!"

"I'll get the gate so the cops can come in. There's no way she could have gotten far." Tim pitched in.

Just like that everyone dispersed trying to look for Emilia. The house is relatively big so I know finding her would be difficult. After some time we all gathered in the living room with no results but the cops were present so it gave me a little bit more confidence.

"Do you have a photo?" The officer in blue uniforms asked.

"Yes, we kept a file of all our employees."

"Where are your other employees?"

Then it dawned on me. I haven't seen anyone else since yesterday. Could they all be in cahoots?

"I'm not sure. We didn't spend the night here but before I went to work, I saw the gardener lurking around." Leo answered.

"We will need the files of all your employees and not just the suspect."

"I'll go get it." I volunteered.

"No wait, can someone else get it? I still need to ask you some questions."

"I'll go." Rachel waved her hand.

I nodded, "It's in the storage room. Down the hall, the fourth room by your left." I instructed her. 

After she left, we kept answering the questions from the police department when we heard something break from inside.

"I'll go check on her." Tim volunteered before heading towards the storage room.

I watched Tim disappear into the halls as I realized there's been a lot of Rachel and Tim since the hospital.

"We'll take the picture and you'll need to head to the station with us where you will file a complaint." The officer instructed as he got up to his feet.

"I'll come with you, my wife has been through a lot." Leo shook the hand of the officer.

"Emilia's here! We found her!" Tim yelled into the hallway.
