"That's why I think you should invest in our company." I boldly finished my presentation and everyone in the meeting room clapped loudly for me.

"That was such a great presentation, Mrs Castro." One of the British investors complimented in a thick English accent.

"Thank you, Mr Stralton." I smiled.

Mr Stralton leaned in close to his partner who was whispering something in his ear. Probably deciding if they'll move forward with the investment or not but by the small smirk on Mr Stralton's thin lips, I felt confident.

I took my seat as I eagerly waited to hear positive news.

Mr Stralton got up straight and turned his gaze to me. "Congratulations, we will make sure to invest." He wore a smile and stretched out his hand to me.

I got up to my feet as I took his hand, "Thank you." I returned his smile.

"We will make the first deposit tomorrow."

"That's great! I look forward to a great partnership."

After escorting both men to the reception, I breathe a sigh of relief and relaxed on my chair. It's my first deal I've closed since I returned to work. It feels good to know I still got it in me.

An abrupt knock on my door made me sigh as I sat up straight.

"Come in." I yelled.

My secretary rushed in with a notebook in his hand but paused right in front of my table.

"Your presentation was great!" Mike complimented.

"Thank you Mike." I smiled.

"Your meeting which was scheduled to happen later today has been postponed until next week, so you are done for the day." He read his note.

Thank goodness.

"Alright then. I told you to send someone to the market at Park Avenue to buy me a burrito from the stall I like so much but I didn't get it, why not?"

"I asked Linda to do it. She informed me that the lady who owns the stall was closed at the time."

"Did she go back to see if she returned after that?"

"No, I'm sorry, ma'am!" He shook his head and I sighed. "I'll go tell her to check again-"

"No," I interrupted and got up from my seat. "I'll just go home." I grabbed my purse.

"Have a great evening ma'am." He smiled.

I took off my shoes as soon as I entered the house. I looked around and noticed how quiet the house was but it's no surprise, it's been like this for months now since the girls returned to London. They promised to be back by summer so now I just wait.

Thankfully, I returned to work and Leo stayed more at the hospital and returns late most of the time.

Without the girls, Leo and I have had time to know each other better. We go on dates almost everyday, he comes to visit me at work and the sex is amazing.

The only thing more surprising than the fact that we are living life to the fullest is the fact that when Damian's face randomly flashes in my head, I smile. Leo helped me and is still helping me heal which is why I feel so much love and gratitude towards him.

"Welcome home madam." Emilia greeted me. "Should I serve you dinner?" She asked.

"Hold on, I'll call Leo then I'll let you know."

"Understood."

I brought out my phone from my purse and dialed Leo's number. It didn't take long for him to answer.

"Hey love." He sang as he answered.

"Hey, are you going to be late today? Should I have dinner?"

"I'm almost at the house just hold on. How was work?"

"I was excited today because I closed a deal but then I wanted to eat the burrito from one of the stalls at the market but Mike couldn't get it."

"Don't be mad, we can go get the burrito tomorrow."

"You're right. Hurry back, I'm kinda hungry."

"Bd there in a minute."

**

A minute!

A minute he said!

Men! All they do is lie!

It's been over thirty minutes and counting but Leonardo still hadn't gotten here.

I told him I was starving but he doesn't care!

Scratch that, he said he was close to the house.

I'm currently seated on the white chair in the living room with my legs crossed and a scowl proudly sitting on my face.

After a while, the door opened and Leo appeared with a smug look on his face.

The audacity he has to smile after keeping me waiting for over fourth minutes.

"Hey b-" He paused when he saw the daggers I threw at him with my eyes.

"I'm sorry." He apologized immediately. "I promise I was almost home but turned back because I had to go get something." He explained.

"You left me waiting without a call or anything because you had to go get something? What was so important that yo-"

He lifted a white paper bag up to his face and I paused when I recognized it.

"Is tha-"

"Yep." He nodded proudly. "It's the burrito from the place you wanted." He smiled and handed it out to me.

I felt my eyes becoming moist as I took it from him.

"I'm sorry." I sniffled.

"It's okay, don't cry."

"I'm sorry, I don't know why I'm so emotional these days."

"Come here." He snorted and pulled me into a hug.

"Thank you." I said into his chest.

"You're welcome." He replied and kissed the top of my head.

After he got changed and all, we both sat at the dining table and as I watched him eat, I munched on my burrito.

"How come you like this burrito so much? It's really spicy and you've been eating it a lot often these days."

"I don't know. I think I like spicy foods now? My body has really been craving it these days." I answered him as I took the last bite.

"That was fast." Leo gasped.

"I was starving okay?!" I defended myself.

"Now to dig in." A grin appeared on my face as I dished myself a portion of the spaghetti and meatballs.

"You're not full?"

"Not at all!"

"That's weird. You usually don't eat anything after eating burritos. I wonder what changed."

"Well today is different."

As we continued to eat, Leo told me about his day and I told him in depth about the contract I closed.

The more I ate, the more my stomach ached so I stopped. I felt constipated, I rubbed chest and drank more water but it didn't help. All of a sudden, I could feel my food coming back up and I immediately ran to the bathroom where I emptied the contents of my stomach and I felt so much lighter.

"Are you alright?!" Leo banged on the door of the bathroom.

I rinsed my mouth and washed my face before opening the door.

"I'm fine." I reassured Leo who had a worried expression.

"I knew eating spaghetti right after a burrito would be a bad idea! Just drink a glass of water and go to bed." He advised.

On a normal day, I'd argue but it seems he's actually right this time.

"I guess you're right." I sighed.
