"I'm really sorry about the things I said earlier," I apologized.

"No it's not you, Leo didn't tell you Cassidy and I would stay here until the holidays are over." She

"So how are you and Leonardo related?" I asked her as we settled on the sofa in my room.

"Oh, we aren't related by blood. It's a long story which Leo might be able to tell better when he's ready but for now, he's still hurting." She started. "But what I can tell you honestly is that after my mom abandoned us, Leo took care of us. He's like a father and brother to us all." She explained but I got more confused.

"I'm confused. Leonardo took care of you all? But why, if you guys aren't related?" I asked her.

"He's just that good of a person. I've known him since I was in the fifth grade and he has always been very sweet." She praised.

Are we talking about the same Leonardo or someone else? The same douche bag who spilled liquor on me and refused to apologize? The one who raised his hand?

There's no way he's as sweet as she's painting him to be.

"And I really want to apologize on behalf of Leo about this morning. He's very protective of us that's why he got so upset. I swear he wouldn't have actually hit you! He might be a big flirt but he's certainly not violent." She assured me.

"All you've done since the beginning of this conversation is praise Leonardo." I observed.

"Because he has done much more than my father and mother combined." She informed me.

Did I meet the wrong one or?

"I don't know why you have the wrong impression about him, but if you give it time, you'll see what an Angel he is." She assured me.

"Alright." I nodded.

After talking to Iris, I realized two things, one, she has another sister apart from Cassidy and she loves Leonardo a lot.

What exactly happened with Leonardo for him to take responsibility for three people? I know his family has a lot of money but for him to willingly accept their responsibility is crazy.

My phone buzz brought me back to reality and the caller ID showed it was my mother so I answered.

"Come get your door!" She yelled at me through the phone.

I rushed downstairs and twisted the doorknob open. The first people I see were a couple of workers from my house holding different groceries. I moved out of the way so they could enter the house.

"My darling!" My mom exclaimed when she saw me and engulfed me in a long hug.

My lips curled up in a smile as I got whiff of her feminine scent, all thanks to her sweet smelling perfume.

"You didn't have to mom." I sighed as more and more groceries made their way into my house.

"It's the least I could do," She replied as eyes scanned everywhere.

"Do you want want a cup of tea or something?" I asked her.

"No, I'm actually on my way out. Your dad made impromptu plans and I just wanted to see your face and also see how you were," She tucked a loose strand of my hair behind my ears.

"I wanted to discuss something important with you," I informed her.

"It would have to wait." She looked at her phone before putting it back in her bag. "Your dad keeps texting me, I have to go." She kissed me on the cheek before hurrying out of the house.

A i walked her out of the house, I see Leonardo pulling in into the house and afer exchanging pleanteries with my mom, he walked towards the house.

I turned away the door and was walking towards the kitvhen when he came in and told me he wanted to speak to  me.

After the conversation with him i realized he wasnt such a bad person after all and he extended a hand of friendship which i deided to take. Nothing screams peace like a dinner out with everyone involved.

I made my way upstairs and knocked on Iriss room which she immediately responded to. When she opened the door, I noticed she was already dressed.

"Do you have plans?" I asked her while still standing outside the door.

" Yeah, Cassidy and I are going out with our friends." She answered. "Do you need someething?" She questioned.

"Oh, I w-"

" Are you just going to stand outside the door?" Cassidys voice interrupted me. I poked my head into the room and saw cassidy standing in front of the mirror fxing her mascara.

I walked inside and closed the door behind me. I could only see a part of her stomach exposed becaue of her cropped top. Her long brown hair curled perfectly, Cassidy is quite the beauty and Iris isnt any less.

" I wanted us to eat out for dinner, I'm sorry for not asking before hand, it was just impromtu." I explained.

"Oh no don't apologize, we would have loved to go with you but we can't cancel on our friends last minute." Cassidy said through the mirror.

"Take Leo with you," Iris suggested as she adjuted her jeans.

"I invited him already but i guess I'll just cancel."

"What? No!" Iris yelled. "You and Leo should totally just go without us, we can go out together tomorrow evening or something." She continued.

Dinner for just me and Leonardo? Wouldn't it be awkward?

"You both have to go, you can't cancel." Cassidy insisted.

I did already tell him to get ready, it wouldn't be good if I told him I canceled right now.

"Alright, fine, we'll go without you both." I sighed. "Are you coming back tonight?" I asked them both.

"Definitely, Leo doesn't like us sleeping out unless he knows who we're hanging out with." Iris smiled.

He's very protective, Maybe they are the illegitimate children of his dad?

"I'll excuse you both," I excused myself.

"Bye!"

"Have fun at dinner!" They both yelled at the same time as I was walking out of the room and it made me smile.

It felt so nice to have younger people in the house. It made me remember how lonely and bored I used to be before my parents adopted Rachel. I'd have nobody to discuss things my age. I sighed.

So dinner with Leonardo, let's see how that goes.
