He raised his hand to me, because of his mistress?

Or is he actually in love with her?

I buried my head in my arms and my tears wouldn't stop rolling.

Flashbacks of Devon hitting me resurfaced in my mind and I cried harder.

How dare he?!

"Winter please open the door, I'm sorry, please!" He banged the door.

"Go away!" I yelled at him.

"Please." He knocked softer this time.

"I said go away!" I screamed closer to the door this time.

I walked to my bed and wrapped myself with a blanket hoping to fall asleep but I don't. I just lay in thought thinking about what my life is right now.

Trapped in a marriage with someone I don't love, forced to take a break from work when it's the only thing keeping me sane and now having to live with total strangers who bang my husband.

They are all trash!

I picked up my phone and dialed Rachel's number but she didn't answer. I sent her a text but she didn't respond either.

I'm so bored.

After cleaning my face, I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. The whole house was quiet so I probably think Leonardo and his mistresses went out.

I settled on the dining table where most of the food tray was already finished, fucking bastard shared my food with them.

As I sipped my water and played with my phone, Rachel sent me a text.

I'm at a cafe nearby, wanna meet up there? Or should I come over to your house?

I replied, "My car isn't here yet so it would be nice if you come over, bring doughnuts and a pumpkin spice latte."

Sure be there in five.

Finally! Some company!

I turned on the tv and connected it to my Netflix account and decided to watch a horror movie until Rachel would arrive.

Thirty minutes into The Conjuring, I heard a doorbell and I rushed to open the door.

"Brought what you wanted!" She raised a paper bag and walked in.

"Let's go to the pool." I suggested after she walked in.

I led Rachel to the outside where our large pool was located. It was a wide vinyl-Liner pool which sat on a concrete foundation. The sun rays were directly hitting the faux grass.

"Your mother in law really knows her stuff." Rachel complimented as we settled on the soft cushion in the backyard.

"That is true." I agreed with her.

"So," Rachel paused as she took out two pumpkin spice lattes and doughnuts. "How was breakfast?" She raised her eyebrows suspiciously.

"Don't remind me." I sighed and leaned on the chair.

"What happened?" She took a quick sip of her latte.

"Your ever so great Leonardo almost hit me today." I testified.

"What?" She dropped her doughnut. "How dare he do that to you?" She vexed. "I didn't expect that from him." She lamented paying full attention to me.

"He brought over two different women he's sleeping with and he brought them here! Here! One of the girls had the audacity to bring me a gift claiming to be a wedding gift and I ended up confronting her about it, he got upset that I yelled at them and called them what they really are and almost hit me." I summarized while taking bites of my doughnut.

"Leo brought women over to his new house? That's really unlike him and the fact that he yelled at you because of them is unbelievable. Leo doesn't even remember the name of the girl he hooked up with at the club the other time and he doesn't see them twice." She explained.

"Well he loved these ones so much he brought them over here." I took a long sip of my coffee.

"I'll have a talk with Leo, I won't have him bully you in your own house!" Rachel fumed.

"Seems he's also into younger girls because they look kinda college young." I added.

"College? Leo doesn't do college girls except-." She paused like a realization hit her.

"Wait did you say they were two?" She asked and I nodded.

"Do you know them?" I asked.

"Well back when I met Leo, I knew he had these two young girls he was very protective about. He would get upset if anyone even Timothy say something to and about them." Rachel told me.

He got upset with me for referring to the other one as a whore.

"So he's not sleeping with them?" I wore a confused look.

"Nah, if anything he treats them like he's their dad."

I'm confused, what's happening?

"Did you ask him about them beforehand?" Rachel raised her eyebrow.

"No," I shook my head. "But even if, he should have asked for my opinion before inviting strangers to live with us." I complained.

"That is true," She agreed. "He also should not have raised his hand to you instead of communicating, that's wrong." She added.

"I won't be able to trust him ever, if he raised his hand then he can most certainly hit me and I will not tolerate it. I'm no longer as weak as I was years ago." I muttered.

"So what do you want to do?" Rachel questioned me.

"I'm not sure yet." I answered her.

Later in the evening after walking Rachel out to her car, I caught a glimpse of one of the girls heading towards the kitchen.

Who are they really and what's their relationship with Leonardo that makes him love them so much?

I'll also pretend I want something from the kitchen then maybe start a conversation with her.

I walked to the kitchen and saw the one I yelled at earlier pouring orange juice for herself. We made eye contact but it broke it immediately.

What do I say?

I strolled to the cabinet to get a glass then to the fridge where I brought out a jar of cold water and poured slowly into the glass.

She took the water and left while I let out a sigh.

"Listen I'm sorry for what Leo did!" A voice yelled. "But I swear my relationship with him isn't what you think!" She yelled again.

I turned and the brunette popped up from behind me.

"I wa-."

"No wait please! Let me just ex-." She tried to explain but I cut her off.

"I'm sorry," I apologized and her stressed face lightened. "Let's talk." I held her shoulder with a smile.

If I made a mistake, I'd really like to correct it.
