<Erics pov>
After we get back, i can sense something is on her mind.
"Hey, something is on your mind again, isnt it," i ask.
"No, not really," she says.
She seems happy, but she is hiding something. We head toward my apartment to throw my stuff in. When we get to my door i open it for her.
"Thank you," she says.
I smile. She has something on her mind i can tell. Her smile is bright and gleeful but her eyes say it all.
"Whats wrong," i say.
"Nothing really," she says.
I grab her arm and turn her towards me.
"Hey come on. Tell me," i say.
Her eyes turn a shade darker, and i know it is something deep with in her.
"What are we exactly," she says.
"Well, you are my girlfriend," i say.
"Yeah, but are we that fling then gone," she says.
Then it hits me.
"Yeah, i usually am a fling guy. But with you it feels different," i say.
Her eyes get brighter, and she smiles more.

<Ace pov>
It is not a bad answer. It makes me happy that he thinks differently with me.
"But.. Ace.... I'm..I'm not good for you," he says.
The words were almost mumbled. My heart sinks in my chest. And my body shudders.
"What do you mean," i ask.
"Im..Im just not good for you," he utters.
"Eric, I do not care, to me you are good," i say.
"Ace... maybe.. we should relax a little," he says.
That when my emotions hit me. I can't, I can't handle this right now. I run out his apartment. I do not know where I am going to go. I just need to get away from him.

My heart was sinking faster than any ship. Tears came streaming down my face. I went to my house. My mom opened the door and I told my mom i missed my room. She let me in. She seemed healthier and better. I sat in my room and brought my legs close to my chest.
Why did i have to ask him that question. Things were just fine as they were. Why did i have to be so stupid. My first love, my first crush, and first boyfriend, gone. Within a matter of seconds it felt as if it were falling apart because of a stupid question.
I was breathing heavily trying to control my sobs. Oh gosh did it hurt. When he said relax, i knew he meant take a break. But nothing good ever comes from a break. Every break i took ended up in a beating.
I can not relax. It hurt even more that Eric did not try to stop me. I just ran. I... I could not face him.
He said he was not good for me. I do not believe him. Did i take his words wrong, maybe he had more to say. Am i over thinking. Well i do not know. This made me come out of my shell even more, but now i just wanted to crawl back in. Go back to not existing. Max was proud of me and so was Four. But right now i just wanted to be erased.
"Ace, are you alright," says my mom.
"Yeah," i manage to say without a shake in my voice.
"What is wrong," she says as she enters my room.
"Nothing mom," i say.
She tries to walk over to me. I stand up and walk over to her leading her to the bed. We sit down.
"Honey, you are brave, remember that. What ever is bothering you leave it behind. You can over come it. Something is wrong and i can sense it. A mother knows, darling," she says as smile cracks over her face.
I smile and hug her.
"Thank you, mom," i say.
She was right. I am not letting one stupid question and answer get in my way. I am brave and i am going to keep it that way.
I lead my mom downstairs and we head to the mess hall together. When we get there i led her to her nurse who helps her in her seat. As i hug her good bye i feel a hand land on my shoulder.
"Oh gosh.. i have a massive head ache. What happened last night," i hear a familiar voice ask.
I smile and turn around to see Four standing behind me.
"You do not remember. I am glad i left your bed early this morning," i say.
"Holy shit, what," he says.
I start laughing and say," Im kidding. I will never end up in your bed."
He seems relieved.
"But no seriously, what happened," he says.
"I don't remember much either. I remember leaving during dinner though," i say as we walk towards our table.
We sit down, and i start talking to Tayla and Lex.
"So what did you do last night," i ask.
"We went to party and got more tattoos, and saw the scores," she says.
Oh heck i missed the ranking.
"Who got cut,"i ask.
Will who was sitting next to me looks away.
"Rina and Sun," says Four.
I look down at my food not feeling so hungry anymore.
"Well thats a buzz kill," i hear someone say.
I look up to find Loki joining our table.
"Why are you here," growls Lex.
"Yeah, i thought you would be factionless by now," i say.
Loki glares at me. He gets up and leaves are table.
"Thank goodness, i might have jumped over this table to choke him," says Tayla.
Will gets up abruptly and leaves.
"Whats his problem," says Tayla.
Four and i exchange looks. I go and follow Will. When i exit the mess hall i find Will punching Loki across the face.
"Will, Will, stop," I scream at him as I grab his arm.
I see an arm reach around me and yank Will off of Loki. I grab Loki who is smirking like a fool. I turn around thinking Four is behind me only to find myself staring at Eric.
"Take him to the infirmary,"he says with a growl.
Loki stands up and starts walking beside me, while Eric heads in the other direction. Thank goodness cause i rather deal with this ass then him.
"I guess its you and me sun shine," says Loki.
"Shut the hell up," i say.
"Oh is sun shine mad cause big leader did not pay attention to her," he says.
"Loki i swear if you do not shut up. I will break your freaking nose," i say.
He just scoffs and keeps walking with me.
Once we get to the infirmary i have to help the nurse clean Loki's cuts. I really rather let him bleed out. I help with the stitches on his forehead and his arms. I don't understand how he has cuts on his arms. After the nurse leaves I ask him, "how did you get cuts on your arms?"
"From other fights," he says with a smirk.
As I turn to leave I notice Eric walking in. He looks at me and for a split second and looks away. His cold hard exterior is back. As I leave i notice Four standing outside the door.
"What is going to happen to Will," i ask.
"Punishment, what it is going to be, i do not know. But maybe something easy going," says Four.
Me and Four head back to the mess hall. We sit back down with Tayla and Lex. We start grubbing down on food and talking about what just happened. They ask what will happen to Will, Four tells them he doesn't know.
After eating lunch I head to the pit. I walk to the guard rail and look over. I listen to the water crashing along the wall. And for moment I feel at peace. I feel a hand come on my shoulder. I turned around to face the person. It's Eric.
"What do you want," i say.
"Can we talk in private," he growls at me.
We walk through one of the tunnel i have never been through. We head down a flight of stairs into another hallway. He looks around before he opens a door. When he opens it. I see water licking near the edge. This was the door near the bottom of that chasm.
He pulls me in. I freeze up, afraid of what might happen next.
"Ace," says Eric.
"What," i spit at him.
I hope he can hear the venom in my voice.
"Will you quit acting so childish," he yells.
I stop glaring at him and look away.
"Look i just wanted you to know i care about you. But Love Isn't Me. I am not good for you. I don't want to hurt you," he pauses.
"And I wanted a break so you have space to think. But i think it better if we end it. I do not want to hurt you," he says.
"You're hurting me now Eric," i say.
Tears running down my cheek, as i face him.
"Im sorry, Ace. But you shouldn't love me,"he says.
He puts his hand on my cheek and wipes the tears away with his thumb.
Why is he doing this to me. He is just ripping my heart out. He puts his lips on my forehead.
"I still care about you Ace. I just don't want to hurt you in the end," he says.
I pull away from him. Looking at him one more time before i walk out the door. I head back to the dorms. I need to forget about this, i tell myself.

<Eric pov>
Oh god did it hurt to say that. I want to protect her. That is all i want. But from now i will have to do it at a distance. As she left, i followed behind her till i knew she go to the dorms. After dropping Will at Max's office i went to my apartment to find a letter had been slipped under my door.

Hey Eric,
Hows Ace? Fair warning stay away from Sunshine. She is mine. If you stay away no harm will come to her. You put your hands on her, something bad will happen. Just know i am watching.
