Trevor's POV

I quickly hopped out of the car and went into the store. I wanted something to surprise Charlie. She's had nightmares most of the night because I was stupid and made her watch a scary movie last night.

Granted, she should have told me that she shouldn't watch that kind of movie but there wasn't really anything I could do now. I glanced behind me and finally realized that it was snowing and actually sticking to everything instead of just melting away.

I sighed. Now I would have to get Christmas ornaments too. I had promised my baby girl that we would put up the tree when it snowed and stayed snowy. I grabbed a basket and walked fast. I had to get back home before Charlotte woke up or she would be worried. I forgot to leave a note for her.

I looked at all the different ornaments the store had. It was quite a selection. I eventually decided on a purple and silver set. I also decided to get another set. These ones looked like Doctor Who characters. I knew she would love them, she watched it whenever I let her.

I walked over to the juice section and picked up her favorite type of apple juice. Charlie would surely ask for some and we were out. Now for some donuts. I got a few cream filled, a couple maple bacon, some plain glazed, and some with sprinkles. They smelled delicious. I turned and went to check out.

I checked out at the self check out stand as fast as I could. I all but threw the bags in the backseat. It was 7:43. Charlie would be up any minute. Luckily the drive was only about eight minutes.

I walked into the house quietly and set the bags on the counter. I grabbed a plate and a glass for me and Charlotte's princess plate and sippy cup. I heard a shuffling noise to my right. I turned my head as I just caught a glimpse of my princess as she ran down the hall, stifling a giggle. I ambled down the hall, knowing where she was headed.

"Princess where're you going?" I heard another muffled giggle as I pushed the door to my room open. I strode over to my bed and pulled the covers off of the little mound in the middle. I grinned and couldn't help but start tickling her.

"Stop Daddy! St-stop!" She yelled as she giggled again.i stopped and sat down, pulling her little body onto my lap. "Where were you daddy?" She inquired, sweet and innocent.

"I'm sorry you woke up alone sweet pea. I was out getting donuts and Christmas tree ornaments."

"Yay! Did you get apple juice too?" She smiled. I knew she would ask about that.

"Of course I did. How could I not?"

"Can we eat them now?" She squealed.

"Sure baby. Come on." I slid he off my lap and stood up. She looked at me expectantly so I grabbed her hand and led her down the hall. Charlie was almost skipping with excitement. So adorable. I helped her up to the table and put her plate in front of her.

"What kind do you want little one?" I showed her the box of donuts. She grinned and then furrowed her brows.

"I don't know Daddy. I'm to little to decide." She looked up at me, her eyes wide. I chuckled. She was pretty far into her headspace.

"Ok bunny. How about cream filled then?" I pulled the one with strawberry frosting out of the box and placed it on her plate. She started to reach for it but I gently grabbed the plate away. "I have to cut it up first little one." I sliced it up and slid it to her with her fork. She happily dug in.

"How about some juice?" At that she nodded her head excitedly. I filled her sippy with the juice and slid it to her as I sat down to eat my own maple bacon donut. I watched her eat happily and couldn't help but grin. Christmas was going to be great.
