Y/n's pov.
Look.

Dating and breaking up with one of the members of the hottest girl groups in the world might be a dumb decision, I'll admit, it kinda is.

Now I have to deal with all the hate comments and the songs that are specifically made for me and are about me.

I logged in Instagram to see what was happening and I saw Fifth Harmony's post.

@Fifth Harmony
New song out now! One wish!

I checked the comments and saw that most of them were saying that Lauren made the song for a special somebody.

Guess who? Me.

I pressed the link and watched/listened to the song.

---

She's so close to going too far.

To be honest, I didn't make a lot of songs about her, but she's made tons about me.

"Y/n! Did you see the song?!" Jaden, my manager, said coming in.
"Yeah. She's done enough." I said sighing and covering my face with my hands.

"Talk to her. I know you still have feelings for her. Explain why you needed to break up with her. You only have a month left, Y/n." Jaden said sadly.

See, I have lung cancer.

I had to break up with Lauren because I didn't want to see her sad and all.

I wanted her to find somebody else to be happy with.

My fans have been suspecting a lot but they still don't know.

Only Jaden and some of my best friends know.

"Schedule that for me. I'll be in the hospital." I said standing up.

I drove to the hospital and started my treatment.

>Days Later <

I nervously drove to the Fifth Harmony mansion and knocked on the door.

I had good news for her, but I don't want to tell her yet.

"Uhmm... h-hey." I said waving at Dinah.

She was my best friend back then.

She smiled at me and let me in.

When I walked in, I saw almost everybody with weird faces and glares.

"So, come to explain?" Lauren asked with her right arm on her waist.
"Y-yeah." I stuttered out.

'Great.' I thought.

"Sit down and start explaining then. The girls will be away, don't worry." Lauren said sitting down on the couch.

Before I drove here, I searched for a letter that my doctor sent me months ago.

The letter :

Dear Y/n.

This is hard for us to say, but you have lung cancer.

In your last check up, we found out about it.

We're truly sorry.

We have arranged tests, and medical help for you.

Please come tomorrow afternoon so you can start.

Doc. Jefferson.

"So, explain." Lauren said.
"Okay. To start. I never wanted to leave you." I started.

I heard her scoff.

"Lies." She mumbled.

I decided to ignore her and to continue.

"So, your manager's idea?" She asked rolling her eyes.
"No. I left you for a reason. I didn't want you to see me hurt and I didn't want to see you hurt." I said.

"You? Hurt?" She asked confused.
"Yes." I said.

I gave Lauren the letter and waited for her response.

"I got that letter when we were still together. I didn't want you to feel bad for me, and I wanted you to find somebody else and move on. It's obvious that you haven't found somebody else because of your new music and such." I said while she started reading the letter.

"They said I could die. I got as much help as I can." I said with tears running down my face.

I saw Lauren who just finished reading the letter, and with tears running down her face.

"I'm s-so sorry." She said sobbing.

"I got treatment Laur. They said I did it." I whispered.

I felt arms wrap around my waist and felt something wet on my shoulders.

"I'm so sorry. I thought you left because you didn't want me anymore. I thought you just played me." She said.

"It's okay. I'm fine now. And I love you too much to play you." I said hugging her.

I saw the girls come in and most of them were glaring at me.

"Please read the letter before you judge." I said.

The girls read the letter while I comforted Lauren.

---

After a couple of hours, I left.

Before I left, Lauren asked if I could hang out with them some day.

I agreed with them.

Hanging out turned into being girlfriends in a couple of weeks.
