Jodie sat in the doctor's office with Kira as he also had Nina with him. It had been two days and his sister had yet to get her or return any of Jodie's calls or text.

Kira sat there hoping and praying the blood sample showed that she was pregnant. She wanted to be with Jodie and she felt like it would help her get him back. Meanwhile Jodie felt the complete opposite, if Nina was any indication on how it would be to have kids Jodie knew he wasn't even close to ready for the shit.

Nina sat in Jodie's lap sleep, he had purposely wore her out before this appointment. In the mist of spending time with her he realized she wasn't bad, but a copycat. So he knew he just had to watch what came out his mouth.

The doctor walked in, knocking both Kira and Jodie out of their thoughts. "So the results came back."

Kira and Jodie both tuned in, ready for her to just say what it was. "And you are not pregnant. Your period is probably just late, it could be stress, or a hormonal imbalance, a lot of factors."

Jodie let out a breathe he didn't know he was holding. "Thank you," Jodie said with a small smile.

"Any questions?" She asked as she focused on Kira. Kira shook her head no, a range of emotions flowing through her. "Okay! Well you all have a good day." The doctor smiled as she left out.

Jodie stood up, readjusting Nina as her head was on his shoulder as he held her body in one arm against his. "Well I'm going to let you get dressed and head out."

"Can we talk?" She questioned.

Jodie sighed, "talk about what Kira?"

"Jodie I just need closure. Can we just go eat and talk and then I'll be out of your hair forever."

Jodie stood there and looked at her as he thought. "Okay Kira."

"Thank you," she gave a small smile as Jodie walked out, pulling out his phone to check for any missed calls or text from his sister, still nothing. He couldn't be stuck with a child. He just couldn't.

Jodie and Kira met at a little burger joint, Nina was now up and hungry so it was perfect timing.

"Uncle Jodie, who is that?" Nina tried to whisper as Kira neared the table a big smile on her face as she looked at Nina, she loved kids.

He chuckled, "don't worry about it. Nobody important, here," he pulled out his phone. "Keep yourself occupied."

She smiled big as she took it, quickly going to YouTube before Kira got to the table. She sat down across from Jodie and Nina with plans to somehow get Jodie back.

Jodie wasn't there for the games, he got right to it after the waiter took their drink orders and Nina's meal.

"What is it that you want to talk about?"

Kira sighed as she sat down the menu. "Jodie I feel like we ended so suddenly, like I know I got a little extreme with my trust issues and I'm sorry but I didn't want to lose you."

Jodie ran a hand over his face as he sighed. "Kira what are you getting at, why am I here?" He looked around making sure he didn't see anyone he knew.

"I want us to give it another shot."

Jodie shook his head. "I can't Kira, I'm hear to give you whatever closure you need but I'm not about to have that conversation with you."

"Why?" She questioned. "Why so suddenly? I feel like you broke up with me out of nowhere."

"There was always some type of problem, we were always going at it about some bullshit. And in the process I lost feelings. I didn't want to string you along so I ended it."

"You lost feelings for me?" She questioned as she sat there with a stunned look on her face.

Jodie wasn't trying to sit there and hurt her feelings, he nodded his head as the waiter came back to see if they were ready to order. Jodie let him know he wasn't ordering after Kira ordered. "You aren't going to eat?" She questioned.

He shook his head, "I'm not hungry."

They sat quiet for a moment, only the sound of Nina laughing here and there from the videos she watched. "So you couldn't see us together maybe in the future? Like giving it some time and possibly finding our way back to each other?" She was pushing now and she knew it.

Jodie shrugged, "I can't say, I can't tell the future."

That answered satisfied her. The waiter came out with Nina's food as she watched Jodie help her with it causing her to smile and think of how good of a father he would've been if she was pregnant.

She leaned back looking around for the bathroom deciding to head to it. "I'm going to head to the bathroom," she let be known as she got up.

As she walked towards the bathroom she saw Mink at a table with a girl she didn't know. She noted it.

"Is it good?" Jodie asked back at the table with Nina who nodded her head yes, dancing as she chewed. He laughed as he pulled his phone from her momentarily seeing a message from Mink.

You still have baby girl?

He responded with a quick yeah as Kira sat back down at the table, around the same time as the waiter came to drop off her food.

She looked up seeing Mink and the girl getting up to leave, they had to pass their table to leave. The wheels in her head started to spin as Mink caught eye contact with her. She thought about doing the most but decided against it, once Mink was in hearing distance of the table she looked at Jodie, "you want to try some of the fries babe?" She questioned.

He knitted his eyebrows together. "Kira stop with the pet name."

Mink walked by, turning a little to see who was at the table with Kira, doing a double take as she saw Jodie causing her to full out turn around. "Jodie?" She questioned as if her eyes were playing jokes on her.

He looked wide eyed, "Mink." He stood up as he brought his hands to her waist. "It's nothing like that baby, I swear."

Kira's ears perked up at the nickname as she shook her head. "No, no Jodie. I know you didn't try and leave me to be with her," she started as her emotions started to get the best of her.

"Then what is it Jodie?" Mink questioned as she ignored Kira.

"Minkkkk!" Nina yelled out with a smile as if she just noticed her, Mink smiled at her before putting her eyes back on Jodie.

"She had a doctors appointment today so I went with her -"

"For fucking what Jodie?"

"Can I finish?" He questioned as Kira jumped in. "Cause I'm pregnant."

"What!?" Mink semi-yelled. Jodie looked at Kira like she lost her mind. "She thought she was pregnant and I went to the doctor with her so I would hear it straight from the doctors mouth and she's not." He emphasized. "She lying like shit right now."

"So why are y'all here?"

"She wanted closure."

Mink looked between the two as she rolled her eyes, she looked at her friend who was just taking it all in. "We can go."

Jodie still stood there as Kira sat back down. He shook his head grabbing the waiters attention as he asked for the check for Nina's food.

"Really?" Kira questioned.

He sucked his teeth, "Man I don't want to hear shit from you. Telling her you pregnant? That's exactly why I went with your ass to the appointment."

Kira rolled her eyes, "I knew it was some shit when we were together, I fucking knew it," she let out as tears started to brew from her eyes.

He felt bad about the shit and definitely didn't want shit to come out like that, but after she just lied like that he could only feel so bad.

He easily handed the waiter some money as he grabbed Nina up. "Have a nice life Kira, I didn't want to hurt you or have you find out that way so I'm sorry but at the end of the day that's how shit went."

She just looked at him not believing this shit. He walked out focused on getting back on Mink's hood side and getting in contact with his sister, he had enough shit going in and catering to Kira's feelings wasn't going to be something he added to the list, he had did that long enough.
