"Mink, I can't." Kennedy busted in my room sobbing. I quickly leaned up pausing my Netflix movie.

"What's wrong?" I questioned as she fell into my embrace. "You were right," she took a deep breath as she continued sobbing. "He played me right in front of her. Acted like I meant nothing."

I just held her as I rubbed her back. "I'm sorry baby" I whispered. None of this was surprising to me though. I'd been telling her from jump it wasn't what she thought it was. We sat there as I held her just letting her cry into my arms. After a while she calmed down, "I'm so stupid," she stated as she shook her head and used her hands to wipe her face. "I just wanted to believe he was better than that."

I sighed "girl we all do, we always want to believe some of these niggas are better than they actually are. But sometimes we just ignore the most obvious signs. But don't stress that nigga, look at you," I pushed her hair off her shoulders. "You're pretty as hell, you know how many niggas would love to have a chance to do right by you?"

She laughed as she sniffed. She came in wrapping her arms around my waist as we sat side by side on the bed. "You're such a good friend," she let out as she rested her head on my shoulder. "I'm sorry," she said lowly.

"For?" I questioned with confusion.

"For befriending Kira when you made it clear you didn't like her, that bitch is fake. You were right about her."

I rolled my eyes, "oh she was there huh?"

She nodded her head, "Mink, forreal. I'm sorry."

"Kennedy, you a grown ass woman. If you want to befriend snakes you can do that. You don't have to apologize to me for that. That's you dealing with them. But I accept your apology for trying to have that bitch around me." Truth be told I didn't give a fuck about Kennedy being friends with her, it was a problem when she tried to make us all be cool. She was going to learn her lesson. That I knew.

She laughed as she leaned up looking at me, her eyes red and puffy from all the crying. "Girl's night? Please, just us two."

"Look at you, trying to do all this sucking up to me." I smiled as she rolled her eyes. "But yeah, I know you need the distraction."

She smiled as she got up, "well I'm going to go get comfy, find a good movie." She walked out as I stood up doing a light stretch as I checked the time. 7:14pm. I walked to the living room turning on the TV as I brought up the firestick, it was jail broken so the new movies that were out were on it too. I scrolled trying to see if there was anything out that looked interesting as a knock came through on the door.

I got up going to the door as Kennedy exited her room going to the kitchen. "Do you think I should drink? Or do you think that will get me in my feelings more?"

I stopped walking as I thought on it, "Umm, I don't know. At first it'll make you feel good and have you like fuck that nigga, but you know it always ends in crying and trying to contact a nigga so maybe not."

"Ooo, what about edibles? Getting high doesn't make me feel like that."

I laughed as I continued to the door, "you've been high all of two times."

The knock came through on the door again as she responded, "so! I need something," she laughed.

I opened the door as Kira stood there with Jodie behind her looking like this was the last place he wanted to be, a look of confusion and annoyance crossed my face. I knew Kennedy wasn't fucking with her so she had no reason to be here. But then again she was probably trying to apologize.

"I didn't know you would be here," she stated as she looked me up and down.

"Bitch I live here," I turned around walking back towards the living room as the two of them entered. I threw Kennedy a look as she looked at who was coming in, instantly rolling her eyes as she crossed her arms.

"Why the fuck are you here?" She questioned.

Kira sighed, "Kennedy I know you are mad but can you please hear me out."

"Bitch you fakeeee" I yelled out from the couch as I let out a laugh that Kennedy joined in on too.

Kira looked my way but she wasn't stupid enough to say anything, at least not at that moment. "Kennedy please," she asked.

"Kennedy you deserve better than that, make her beg. She let you get played knowing all along."  I taunted. My pettiness was clearly at an all time high at the moment but I didn't play when it came to my friends.

Kennedy looked at me small smirk on her face, the hurt clear in her eyes before she looked at Kira again.

"Shut the fuck up!" Kira spat as she looked at me, "like I'm trying to have a real ass conversation and you sitting in there being funny. This ain't got shit to do with you."

"Yo chill," Jodie said lowly as he sat in one of the chairs that lined the mini island we had. His face in his phone. We hadn't talked or seen each other since our kiss. I was purposely avoiding him, feeling bad about the shit, but Kira was making me not feel as guilty about it honestly.

"Why are you even here?" I questioned him. If Kira was coming to talk to Kennedy why would she bring him?

"That's none of your fucking business!" Kira answered. "Always worried about my nigga," she stated under her breath.

I rolled my eyes "bitch you in my house. It is my business."

"Yo, can y'all just stop? Damn!" Jodie let out loudly.

I slightly leaned back with my hand over my chest, "my bad." I said flirtatious like. Purposely trying to get under Kira's skin. At this point not only was she rude to me upon first meeting her and every time after, but she was a fake friend to one of my friend's so I really wasn't a fan.

Jodie looked at me as his jaw tightened, and he had a strong jawline so the shit was lowkey sexy; and it definitely set Kira off.

"Bitch are you seriously flirting with my nigga in front of me?"

I chuckled as I bit my lip looking at Jodie, "Jodie would you call that flirting?" I asked with my head tilted and a smile. "I was just responding to what you said."

"Mink! You are on one." Kennedy let out with a wide smile. Kira quickly looked over at her not understanding her reason for the smile before putting her eyes back on me.

"And I'm bout to be on your ass," Kira stated boldly causing me to stand up. "Please Kira, please jump."

She started walking towards me as Jodie quickly got up pulling her back, "it's time to go," he said as he gave me a look. "I told you not to do this shit today," he mumbled under his breath.

"Oh I get it," I stated with a smile. "That's why you brought Jodie, so he could make sure you didn't get your ass beat. You was smart girl."

"Jodie, let me go." She stated calmly. It would've almost been kind of scary with how calm she said it, but I one thing I wasn't was scary.

I chuckled as I took a seat, ready for them to go at this point. Kira started trying to get out of Jodie's grasp, failing miserably. Jodie was strong as shit and everybody knew that.

"Kira yo, I'm bout to pick your ass up and go." He made known.

"No, just let me whoop her ass one good time. That'll calm that mouth down."

I laughed as I went back to scrolling through movies. She was looking stupid.

"Kira stop it." Kennedy said with a shake of her head. "You look dumb, she's not even paying you any attention at this point."

I looked over at her, "you really want to fight?" I questioned.

"Bitch fuck you!" She yelled. "Please catch this fade."

I started to put my hair in a ponytail. "Then lets go outside." I wasn't about to mess up my apartment for her bird ass.

"Mink chill." Jodie looked at me, lowkey pleading with his eyes.

I sent an eye roll his way as I started to walk by them to get to the door. She threw a weak ass punch my way as I was walking by causing me to instantly react as I just started hitting her. Jodie let go of her, backing up not to get hit as Kira regained herself landing some hits.

She could fight, I had to give her that. But she wasn't about to beat me. After getting out the middle of the fight Jodie tried to pull us apart with Kennedy telling us to chill out. Both of us were still going blow for blow. I was on top of her throwing hits as she laid under me still throwing hits my way trying to push me off of her. Jodie easily grabbed me off of her as he pushed me back, she quickly jumped up trying to come for me but Jodie blocked her. "Yo chill the fuck out!" He yelled angrily as he looked between us. "This shit petty as fuck."

I rolled my eyes as I wiped my lip seeing slight blood, but my lip felt fine. She did the same thing as it looked like I busted her lip. With her being lighter I could see a slight scratch on the side of her face as well.

Jodie shook his head as he walked out, leaving just Kira, Kennedy and I. Kira looked my way, I was waiting for her to try me again as Kennedy interrupted my thoughts. "Can you two not, please. I'm not as strong as Jodie and the way I'm set up if I get swung on we will be fighting. The fight will change from you two to me and who hit me."

I chuckled slightly, Kennedy would be a fool if she ever tried to fight me. Kira looked at her. "I was just coming to have a conversation with you. Like I really wanted to talk shit through. I didn't come here to do that shit."

Kennedy looked like she was considering it for whatever reason, she gave me a look as if she was asking for my permission to hear her out. I rolled my eyes and took it as my cue to leave the house to give them space. I gave Kennedy the benefit of doubt the first go round, but at this point she was choosing her loyalty and it didn't look like it was standing with me.

I grabbed my keys and phone as I walked out seeing Jodie on the phone, explaining what just took place to whoever. He saw me walk by him as he quickly wrapped up his call, calling out to me. I turned around looking at him waiting for him to talk.

"Mink what the fuck was that shit?"

I rolled my eyes and turned back around I wasn't about to do that shit with him. He knew damn well she hit me first. "Man how bout you go talk to your girl and leave me the fuck alone."

"That ain't even you." His voice much calmer. "That shit ain't what you about Mink. Why you be letting her bring that shit out of you?" He questioned as I made my way to my car.

By the time I got to my car I was facing him as I opened the door, allowing me to see he was following me along the way. "I don't do well with disrespect and slick mouths. And she portrays both every time I see her. You keep poking at a bear it's going to wake up."

"But Mink you started that shit."

I rolled my eyes as I threw a hand up, "here you go. It's always me right?"

"That's not what I'm saying! But you ain't have nothing but slick shit to say when she was talking to Kennedy. And doing that flirtatious shit knowing the issues behind that. C'mon now."

"And the other times when she started with me?" I questioned. "I guess that shit isn't relevant? And fuck it, she think it's something might as well play into it for her."

"Mink cause it is something! We all know she ain't fucking delusional."

"No that bitch is delusional."

He smacked his teeth, "bro, everybody know it's some shit with us regardless of how we may try to act like we ain't feeling each other. You ain't trippin' on that shit."

"Assuming we fucking around? Always thinking I'm on your dick? All that shit is wrong. The fuck are you talking about? Like you can talk that we want each other shit all day long but your bitch still wrong on what's going on and the shit still irrelevant as fuck cause you still with her."

"What the fuck you want me to do? Just break up with her and then be holding hands with you the next week?"

"I'm not asking you to do shit! Stay with her if that's where you want to be, just keep that bitch from near me and kill all that 'we want each other and everybody know it' bullshit ass talk. I don't give a fuck about none of it."

He shook his head as he crossed his arms. "Alright Mink." I got in my car getting situated as I looked over seeing my passenger side door open. I rolled my eyes getting annoyed by him. "What are you doing?" I questioned as I started my car.

"What it look like?" He questioned as he sat down, "I'm trying to make sure you good and calmed down so you don't go out here being reckless. Where you bout to go?" He questioned.

"To see a man about a horse." I easily replied. I didn't need him to make sure I was good.

He looked at me as if I had lost my mind, "you think that's funny?" He questioned. I shook my head no, "no, it's true. Now get out." He looked me over before a small chuckle came out his mouth. We both knew it I wasn't about to go do that but I wanted to get away from all of them.

He opened the car door back up as he easily slid out. "Be safe." He let out before closing the door back. I didn't even know where the hell I was going, but I could definitely use a drink and some alone time at this point.
