(Years later...)
A young boy and his friend had found your gem. "Woah, Steven! look! there's something buried in the dirt!" The girl,Connie,had pointed to.
"There is?" Steven asked,walking over. Then he saw what she was talking about. The two knelt down and looked at the dirtied object with curiosity.
"What do you think it is?" Connie asked as Steven cleared off the dirt and saw..a gem?! "C..Connie! i-it's a gem!!" He said, cautiously picking it up.
"Should we tell the gems?"
"Yeah,they might know why this gem was out here." He agreed.

The two stood up and begun the trail back to Steven's home, and inside they went. The gems looked up and saw the ever growing worry on their faces. "You two look nervous," Garnet said, picking up on their nervous behavior.
"Is everything okay,Steven?" Pearl asked, curious as to why they looked so worried.
"Um,guys..we found this gem outside, buried in the dirt.." Steven explained, holding out the small gem in his palms. Pearl's eyes widened at the sight. "I.. is that..?!"
"What? do you guys know them?" Connie asked quickly. Pearl took the gem in her hands.

"Steven, Connie. Where did you find this?" "We found it buried in the dirt on the hill," explained Connie. Garnet got up and walked over, a slight surprised reaction like Pearl's.

Then, the gem hovered up, into the air. It was regenerating. Great, now they'd get to meet this mystery gem! A white light formed around it as it took shape.

Now, there stood a light purple toned gem with purple-blue hair and a lavender gaze. She wore a black tanktop with a light pink triangle going up the middle of it to the top, where her gem was set in her chest. She had a short purple skirt that was connected to the top. Underneath, she wore light black tight leggings and some big boots that had a purple wrapping around them and some purple on the toe. On her hands,she wore gloves that covered her middle fingers and went up just slightly past her wrists. Lastly, she had some purple rings around her shoulders that just slightly floated off of them.

The girl looked up in confusion,a shy scared expression. "Uhm.. hello.." she spoke, her voice just barely louder than a whisper. "Tanzanite!" Pearl exclaimed excitedly,running towards the gem and lifting her in a hug.
"Pl-please, put me down..!" She asked,her voice a little shaky. "Pearl, that's enough. You know Tanzanite gets easily frightened."
"Right, sorry." She apologized, setting the gem down. "I just.. I just can't believe it's you!"
"I..i'm sorry, but d-do you know me..?" She asked, looking up at the taller Pearl as she tilted her head in confusion.

Pearl's eyes widened in shock,but then she just began to laugh. "Oh Tanzanite! you always did know how to make me laugh!" She laughed happily,putting a arm around her shoulders

"Uhm, then.. Are you my owner i'm supposed to serve..?" She asked,looking up at Pearl awaiting a response.
"H..huh..? don't you remember? you, me and Rose rebelled. Rose set you free from having to serve Pink Diamond!"
"I-i'm sorry,but I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. Hey, pl-please don't give me that face..! ah,i-i'm sorry!!" She apologized,worrying that Pearl was evidently upset.

"Pearl—"
"Steven, she'll be okay. She's just upset. Tanzanite was one of the crystal gems. She was our friend then." Garnet explained.
"Then.. Why doesn't she remember you guys?"
"Well, I don't know. When she found out Pink Diamond was shattered, she panicked and took off. After that, we never saw her again.." Garnet explained,a upset tone in her voice.

"She.. She must have been reset. That has to be why she doesn't remember! I mean,just look at her! her hair, her clothes.. This is her first form she had when she was serving Pink! We have to help her remember!" Pearl claimed.
"I'm sorry, but, w-who's Pink..?"
"Don't worry, you'll remember that soon." Pearl interrupted. She then led Tanzanite by the hand and pointed to the picture of Rose Quartz on the wall. "Do you recognize this pink haired woman?" "I can't really say i've seen her before.." "oh!well, she was the leader of the rebellion. You and I were the first two she chose to join her."
"..What 'rebellion'..?" Tanzanite asked, still quite puzzled.

"Pearl, this isn't going anywhere."
"Wait! Peridot could help! She's the smartest gem we know! I'll call her." spoke Steven, dialing Peridots number on his phone.

It wasn't long before the one who must have been Peridot and another gem had answered. "Hey Steven!" She greeted cheerfully.
"Hey guys! Can you help us out with something?"
"Yeah what's up?" Lapis asked. "Well, we found this gem that used to be Pearl and Garnets friend,but she doesn't remember anything."
"Hm.. A challenge, but i'm sure we can do something. We'll be over there soon." Peridot responded.
"Great! thanks Peridot! bye!" And then he hung up.
