It was a regular day at work... Nothing but screens, dead ends in the Kira case... And Misa's constant irritating talk about dating Light.

"Riyuzaki, that reminds me actually! I was meaning to ask if you've ever had a girlfriend?"

Misa asks out of the blue, catching me off guard slightly.

"No way he's had a girlfriend before. He never goes outside, let alone socializes with anyone."

One of the task force members chimes in, making me a bit irritated.

"I mean, do you even have a type? Oh, it would be so fun if we could go on double dates together if you had a girlfriend! Riyuzaki, maybe I could even introduce you to someone like one of my friends!"

Misa then enthusiastically continues, making me sigh.

"That won't be necessary."

I state, and she pouts.

"Aw, come on~ do you have a crush At least? Have you even had your first kiss?"

She then asks, making me look over in annoyance.

"Why are you so suddenly interested in my personal life?

I ask, and she holds onto Light's arm before responding.

"Because we all know next to nothing about you!"

She responds in her high pitched voice, making me sigh.

"Would it make you stop talking if I told you that yes, I am currently in a committed relationship?"

I ask, and she narrows her eyes.

"I don't believe it for a second."

She says, and I sigh.

"Fine then."

I say, and she frowns.

"How about you bring her along on our next date."

She asks as she crosses her arms, probably thinking that she had cornered me somehow.

"Alright, if it will make you stop talking."

I say, and she gasps.

"Really?!"

She asks excitedly, and I nod.

"I'm sure she would like to finally meet you both, and I've been missing her a lot recently... When is your next date?"

"Tonight."

She answers, making me tense slightly.

"...Tonight?"

I ask, and she nods.

"Well it will be short notice, but I'll message her and see if she can make it. If not tonight then friday."

I finally say, turning back around before sending (y/n) a quick text. She accepts not long after, slightly surprising me, but I was glad I'll be able to see her.

~♡~Time skip//Your POV~♡~

You finally walked into the place L had told you to meet him, and you scan the room before spotting your boyfriend not far away. As you approach, you see that another couple were seated with him, making you confused. A few moments later, he sees you and smiles softly, getting up from his seat as you get to the table.

"Hello sweetheart. It feels like so long since I've seen you."

He mutters as he takes your hand, kissing your cheek quickly.

"Almost two weeks now. I'm happy to see you again."

You respond, gently smiling as he sits you down, not letting go of your hand as he does so as well.

"Well Then, what's the occasion? You've never asked me on a date during work."

You tease, and he looks towards you before he clears his throat.

"(y/n), I would like you to meet Misa Amane and Light Yagami. They're currently working with me on the Kira investigation."

He says, and you look towards them, presuming they were together as well. Why else would the girl be clinging to his arm?

"It's a pleasure to meet you both. My name is (y/n), and I'm L's girlfriend."

You smile, and notice how Misa was staring at you with wide eyes.

"Um...yes?"

You ask, shifting slightly closer to L before he gently places his arm around your waist.

"She's....Actually so pretty!"

She beams, and you pause, surprised for a moment.

"What...?"

You ask, and L sighs.

"I don't see why this is so incredibly surprising to you."

He says, and you tilt your head. Before you can ask any more questions, she pipes up again.

"Sooo~ how did you guys meet?"

She asks, making you smile lightly as you look to L.

"Well.. we both lived in the same area for awhile. Every morning we would both go to the same coffee shop, but we didn't formally meet until our orders got mixed up once, and we both had to come back to the store. After we got it sorted....well, we started chatting."

You say as you smile gently, and L brushes your hair to the side before continuing.

"Then I had to get the courage to ask you out."

He then says, and you laugh lightly as you playfully snuggle into him.

"Hey, it worked, didn't it? After we started dating I was absolutely blown away that I was in a relationship with the world's greatest detective. I could hardly believe it."

You say, kissing his cheek quickly and looking towards the other couple before smiling lightly.

"How long have you guys been together?"

She asks in a less surprised voice, and you take a moment.

"Four and a half years now...? I think, but I've honestly lost track."

You say, and L looks toward you before smiling, shaking his head.

"Actually It's been Five and a quarter, love."

He says, and you laugh lightly.

"Well then, there you go."

You smile playfully, and Misa slightly leans back in the booth.

"Oh wow. And you're not married?"

She asks, making you both look to each other, before L gives you a short nod, squeezing your hand reassuringly.

"U-um, it's too dangerous...To get married, I mean. I-if..... if something were to happen to one of us because of L's work..."

You begin, and L sighs.

"I...don't want to leave behind any burdens for her."

He then says, and you nod, looking to your interlaced fingers.

"Y-yea."

You mumble, and you hear Light shift his seating a bit.

"So, you're not a detective or officer or anything then?"

He asks, and you shake your head.

"I sometimes help L out in any way I really can, but I'm not on the force officially. I don't even really know much about the Kira case other than a very brief outline and what the news outlets decide to broadcast...Again, it's for safety measures."

You answer, looking at the small menu on the table.

You then all stay at the cafe for a few hours, without even realizing it had become dark. Knowing you all had to go home, you begin to pout once you all get going.

"Anyway love, I'll see you later, okay?"

L says as his black car pulls up, and you gently hug him before backing away slightly.

"Okay."

You respond, and he looks over to Light and Misa momentarily, seeing they were distracted with something. Without any warning, he then brings you close and locks your lips together. Once you slowly pull apart, you cuddle close before sighing.

"It won't be too long until I get to see you again, will it?"

You ask softly, and he looks up to the pink sky.

"I'm afraid I can't say for sure honey. You know how-"

"Yea. I know..."

You say, then sigh.

"It's just really difficult to not know when we can do something like this again. especially with Kira out there...I suppose...What I'm trying to say is I...I don't like knowing that it could very well be the last time I ever see you."

You then sniff, and he sighs before touching your cheek.

"(y/n), listen to me please. It isn't something for you to worry about, okay? I promise."

He softly says, and you nod.

"Hey..."

He almost whispers, making you look upward.

"I love you."

He continues, touching your forehead to his. A small moment was spent like this before he moves away slightly, running his hand down your arm while you look to the ground.

"Hey, what's wrong now?"

He asks, smiling ever so slightly.

"I just miss you. The time we get is so short... And even then it's not just with each other.. I miss us, you know?"

You mutter, gripping his free hand, as letting go wasnt something you wanted to do.

"I...I know. And I'm sorry. I hadn't expected this case to drag out so far.. But as soon as it settles down I'll come home for a day or two, okay?"

He whispers, but not a moment later of silence, he seems to be considering something.

"How about just for you, just for tonight, you can come stay with me at the task force building. How does that sound?"

He suggests, and you look up, almost over the moon.

"Wh-really?"

You beam, and he nods gently.

"Just for tonight, okay?"

He reinstates, and you jump up and hug him tightly.

"As long as I get some time with you."

You say, glad that you were able to see him for longer than a few hours.

When you get to the Task Force building, everyone hops out of the car and makes their way inside, and L takes your hand as you look up at the massive building.

"Wow. You never told me it was this big.."

You mumble, and he leads you through the security system before you enter the investigation floor.

Everyone in the room turned towards you when you came in.

"U-uh...Hi."

You squeak, sinking down a bit from all the eyes on you.

"Wow, is that L's girlfriend? Shes pretty!"

One of the detectives say, and you nudge a little bit forward.

"I-Its nice to finally meet you all."

You stutter, and L introduces you to everyone while you gain a little confidence. Even if everyone was a bit intimidating, they were all really nice.

After introductions, L tells you he had some finishing up to do, but he would be done in a few hours, so you just chatted with Misa and hung out with her on her floor until he was done, which ended up taking longer than it should have.

"Anyway, it would be so cool if we could go on more double dates sometime!"

Misa coos while she finishes up painting your nails in a candy apple red, and you smile.

"Yea, it would be."

"I'm especially glad to see L show more emotion. Hes pretty stoic around everyone here, but he seemed to open up more when you're around."

She continues, then looks up again.

"So.. finally for the big question. What is he like when hes affectionate?? Or rather, what is he actually like as a person?"

She asks, putting the polish away. Right when you were about to answer, you hear a knock at the door, making you both look up. Misa quickly skips over and opens up, and L was standing in the doorway before he looks to you and smiles softly.

"Ah, there you are. I'm all done, so do you want to come up to my floor with me?"

He asks, and you smile as you get up.

"Awww. Well I had fun (y/n), we should hang out again soon! Maybe we can have a girls night or something one of these days!"

"Yea, we should. That would be fun."

You smile, and grab your phone before you join your boyfriend.

"Have fun you two~"

She coos, and you blush as she closes the door.

"Well then, let's go. I'm all yours tonight love, I made sure nobody will disturb us."

He says, walking towards the elevator before taking you up to the penthouse. Once there, he leads you over to the couch, and turns on the TV.

"I sort of just want to hold you for a bit and have you close...So do you just want to watch a movie then we can go from there?"

He asks, and you nod. You both then agree on something random to play in the background, and you snuggle up to him on the couch as he wraps his arms around you.

Before long, you begin to share a few kisses, and you taste the strawberry candy on his lips, and feel his arms wrap tighter around your waist, completely forgetting about the silly movie you were going to watch. It had been so long since you were alone like this, and you both were beginning to crave each other.

Extremely quickly, things get more heated, and he lifts your leg up while you intertwine your fingers with his black hair.

"I've been thinking about this so much lately (y/n)..."

He whispers between kisses, and you pull away only momentarily.

"Why stop here..?"

You sigh as you look up, and he smirks very lightly in response.

"When did I say we were?"

He smiles, pushing your lips on his. Slowly, you slip your hand towards his jeans before he picks you up and fumbles to the bedroom, not breaking your make out session that was heating both of you up. Once there, he pins you to the mattress as he breaks off, his cheeks dusted pink and his eyes full of desire.

"You're so beautiful (y/n)..."

He whispers, slipping his hands up your shirt as he leans down, kissing your neck as you wrap your legs around his hips.

"L-Law-"

You begin, but quickly stop yourself when he looks up, stopping what he was doing. You look away, knowing you almost messed up big time.

"Shhh...you have to remember we can't use names sweetheart.."

He whispers against your neck, saving the mood.

"Even if I want nothing more than to hear you say it..."

He mumbles, and you shiver.

"But for now.. why dont we get you undressed, hm?"

He says, and you comply immediately as he helps you, and he soon after takes his own shirt off.

After this, he admires you for a little, kissing every part of your body and making sure you felt beautiful and loved despite his absence lately.

"L, p-please, it's been too long... I need you now.."

You stammer, and he smiles while he shifts his pants down to join the other clothes on the floor.

"I need you too sweetheart... let's not waste any more time..."

He says, and you wrap your arms around him as he adjusts slightly and pushes forward, gasping only slightly.

"(Y-y/n)..."

He stammers as he begins to move his hips, as you helplessly moan. It had been so long, and it never felt better. Taking things slow at first as you both wanted this to last, you spend the first few minuets thoroughly enjoying each other before things really would pick up.

After a little bit, he begins picking up speed, the desire fully taking over while he grips your hips.

"(y/n)...I've been thinking of this since I saw you today..."

He groans, his voice caught by small noises. The bed was starting to creak a bit, as you both began to want it more rough as you approach your peak.

"S-so good..."

You manage to mumble between moans, getting louder as you approach heaven. He wasn't slowing down yet, but you knew he wouldnt be too much longer either.

Quickly switching, you get on top of his lap and continue, now so close you could hardly bear it.

"O-oh L, I'm so close... I'm gunna...I'm gunna.."

You stammer, and he continues as he nods.

"Me too love.. J-just a little longer... I almost dont want this to end..."

He sighs, tipping his head back. Not able to hold back for a second more, you grip him tight as you release hard.

"A-Aah~! Oh L, dont stop!"

You almost yell, and he tenses, arching his back as he reaches his peak as well, the sensation of you doing so pushing him over his edge.

"M-mmnh.... (y/n)..."

He mumbles, sounding strained as he holds you close. Breathing deeply as he still tenses, he looks up before you give him a deep kiss.

"I love you."

He sighs, snuggling up to you once you roll over.

"I love you too. I'm so glad we get to spend tonight together."

You answer, tracing shapes around his bare chest.

"Me too. Now why dont we actually go watch that movie, hm?"

He asks, causing you to giggle.

"Anything as long as it's with you."

Super short lol, but should I do a continuation chapter where you have the girls night and spill the tea on what L is like in a relationship? It would be more of a funny/cute one shot.
