HOOOOLLLLLYYY SHIT GUYS I FINALLY WROTE THE SECOND PART!! ONLY 2 YEARS LATE YE AM I RIGHT??!?!

~♡~

It had been about a year since you escaped from L that night. Over that time, he had been on you more than ever, and hotter on your trail than he ever was before.

Wonder why...

Of course, however, you being who you were, you were able to slip away just fast enough where you were out of reach. Partly it was to piss L and the cops off, and partly it was for your own feeling of personal accomplishment. It was sort of a thrill to be just one slip away from being caught again, and then fact that he was trying so hard made it even more fun.

But it was getting a bit too close for comfort, and your name was out there. So after a few months of having fun and trying to get away, you decided it was time to get out of here, and flee the country. But to do that...You needed cash, and fast. And the only way to get a large sum of money quick was to rob a small bank if you could. It was the thing you were good at after all, and the main reason why you were so well known. You just had to pick one and plan a quick getaway.

Over the next few days, you haphazardly organize robbing a small scale bank on the edge of the city, close to the main highway if you cut through the northern part of downtown. If you brought your street bike, it would be easy to maneuver and get away, even go offroad or through tight alleyways if you had to. Hopefully you would make off with a little over one hundred and fifty thousand. From there, you would get away from the cops, and catch the next boat out to the mainland...Mainly the money was to bribe whoever would be taking you to keep their mouth shut.

Overall, the plan in its entirety was a little gimmicky and therefore risky, but it should work if you were on your game, and pulled things off smoothly. But, you had to get it done or you wouldnt get anywhere.

Thinking of this, you go into the bank you chose as you pull your skull facemask up, reaching an arm into your jacket before pulling out a pistol and firing three shots into the ceiling. Once you had...caught everyone's attention, per se, you dont stop walking towards the tellers desk, hopping behind it and kicking an arm away from the panic button underneath. You were smooth and practiced by this point, and knew how to get in and out with the blink of an eye.

"EVERYBODY STAY DOWN, AND NO ONE GETS HURT."

You snap in a loud tone, then take hold of a tellers arm while you hold the gun up, pulling her up next to you while you lock an arm around her shoulders.

"Look, please try not to panic too much okay? I'm not going to hurt you. I want the money, not your life. You just need to cooperate with me and I'll be out of here."

You calmly say to her in a low voice, feeling a little guilty putting someone in this kind of situation. But, a girl has to make a living somehow. You could say you were just...unconventional in the way you did it.

"Now, when we get to the safe, you'll unlock it and start putting the cash in the bag. Stacks of hundreds only, please."

You say sharply, and follow the teller who was shaking out of her boots to the massive iron door. She quickly punches in the code while you check your watch, getting a little panicked. Dispatch will be here in 5 minuets. Less if L was involved.

"Look, I'm sorry, but I'm in a little bit of a rush here! Pick it up please!"

You bark, and she frantically begins to throw stacks of hundreds into the bag. Once you count the cash up to roughly two hundred thousand, you go ahead and snatch it up before stepping behind the teller and quickly cuffing her to the door.

"Sorry lady...Cant risk you knowing where I went. Thanks for the help though...See ya later maybe at a different bank sometime, who knows. Also, someone will be here for me with the cops in a few minuets, you'll know the guy when you see him. Just give him this, alright?"

You ask, throwing the duffle bag over your shoulder while you pass over your calling card. An ace of spades with a red kiss mark. The same one you had left L almost a full year ago. You then turn on your heel before running out of the building while the alarms start blaring, throwing your leg over your motorbike parked in an alleyway, slipping on your racing helmet, and making your getaway.

~*~L's POV~*~

Breaking news: famous criminal known as Ace has been reported to have just robbed a small bank on the outskirts of the city. Going in alone, she fired 3 shots as intimidation and stole approximately two hundred and seventy five thousand dollars from the inner safe before fleeing the scene, leaving the staff and the tellers terrified from the encounter.

Police are currently on the scene and being mobilized to find her, as she was last seen heading towards highway 99. We will have more news as the story develops.

Right as the news story finishes and shows some security camera footage of her, I hear the door to HQ burst open.

"RIYUZAKI! ACE JUST-"

"Beleive me, I heard! Get me a squad car stat!"

I say as I jump from my chair, knowing this is my only chance to track her down. And I was ready. Once I get a car and to the scene, it's investigation is already wrapping up as I walk to the bank teller who seemed extra shaken.

"Are you the bank teller that was taken to the safe?"

I ask, and she nods.

"S-she wanted me to give you this, I think."

She stammers, and hands me the small card with the kiss mark. It reminded me of that night all those months ago, and I unintentionally hold it tighter, slightly bending it while I flip it over, not thrilled I'm getting yet another.

'Close, but you gotta be faster than that, L! Maybe if you catch me again soon we can have more fun together! xoxo - Ace♡'

I feel my insides burning as I read the little note written in cursive on the back. Shes taunting me, and isn't afraid to do it.

Little does she know, I already have the upper hand. I'm sure I'll be seeing her again very soon. And this time, she won't be getting away.

"Get all units to the exit to highway 99, that's where shes most likely headed. Make sure there are no opportunities for escape, and send a helicopter to track her. Cover all angles. Shes been hiding for awhile, this is our only chance to corner her."

I almost order as I begin walking away, and one of the officers salutes quickly, before grabbing his radio on his uniform.

"Yes sir."

He says, and I shove the card in my pocket before getting back in the car that took me here. As far as I was concerned, my job was done.

~♡~Your POV~♡~

You zip through the city on your cherry red motorcycle, flying through every intersection and drifting around tight corners as you try and head for the highway. There were a few police cars on you at this point, and you could hear a helicopter in the distance over the sound of your engine.

Knowing you needed to get the cops off your tail, you try and think quickly before spotting a narrow alleyway. It was a bit risky, but despite it you slam your hand on the brake, managing to just make it into it while you hear the cop cars behind you screeching to a halt. But really, you were out of the frying pan and into the fire...Given that you now found yourself flying head on towards a truck, which was backing out of a storage warehouse directly in your path.

"Shit."

You mutter, before turning the bike quickly and drifting hard, still heading straight for it, but low enough that you could probably make it underneath. Feeling the heat from the engine and the sparks that were now flying below you due to your poor bike grinding against concrete, you see the underside of the truck pass above you in what must have been a split second, and you screech to a halt on the other side.

Holy hell...

You think, frankly in disbelief that you even made it before you hear the helicopter drawing closer, pulling you back into reality.

"Catch me if you can, L."

You mutter, before shifting back into gear and revving the engine again, popping out on the other side of the alley and coming up on a shoulder that was at a red light stop.

Without regarding any of the traffic around you, you fly around the corner and throw a peace sign as you see the traffic camera flash due to you running the red light, and you speed up while you see the highway exit in the distance.

As you race towards the exit at speeds even you would say was pushing it, you hear the squad cars behind you start growing in numbers again.

How many is he going to send after me?

You think, immediately taking notice that ahead of you they were attempting to make a roadblock, one officer ready to throw spikes into the road. It might be tight, but you've pulled similar things off before. If you could just make it, you were golden. Switching the gears quickly, you speed up and get onto the main road.

It was the final stretch to the exit, and you see the officer toss the spikes forward while you pull the handlebars into a slight drift outward to try and avoid them. You felt confident about it for a few moments, but soon after feel your stomach twist and your blood run cold.

Fuck. My timing was wrong.

You think, noticing that your drift was ever so slightly off and you were now headed straight at the spikes that were being unrolled toward you. If you were just a little bit more to the left you might have a chance at dodging them, but it would be a squeeze.

Come on....

You mutter to yourself, hoping you would make it.

And you almost did. The spikes just caught one of your back tires, and you make it a few meters away before you start to spin out, your speed dissipating to a halt while your engine stalls.

Looking up once you get your bearings, you see cop cars making a roadblock on the highway, a helicopter above, and what must have been a million guns pointed right at you, ready to shoot if you tried anything.

Shit. They were ready. How did they know where I would be headed?

"DROP THE BAG AND PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD."

You hear a voice bark over one of the cars microphones, and you comply, knowing that you didn't have another choice while you feel the wind from the helicopters blades above you.

"Damn you L."

You grumble as you hop off the bike, tossing the duffle bag down before flipping off the cops as a last act of rebellion, then placing your hands behind your head.

"ON YOUR KNEES, NOW!"

They continue, and you sigh as you drop, seeing the fully geared officers running over to apprehend you.

Once you were caught, you were questioned, charged, and put immediately into police custody all in a span of less than a day. No meeting with L this time, and certainly no staying with him while the court decides on a trial date. Matter of fact, you didnt hear a thing about him at all.

Well, you supposed it was fair, because of your past manipulation of the poor guy...But hey, you had to escape somehow. And he did kinda bring that one on himself, to be fair.

"Miss (l/n)."

You suddenly hear outside your cell door, making you look up.

"What do you guys want this time? More pointless questions?"

You say snarkily, while you hear the police officer outside fiddle with some keys before the door opens.

"You're being transferred for the day to receive questioning by the leader of your investigation."

He says, and you get up while your eyes spark, your handcuffs that were chained to a spot on the wall stopping you from stepping further.

L.

"W-when am I going?"

You ask, and he looks down at his watch.

"Two hours."

He says bluntly, then shuts the door without another word. Oh God. That wasn't a whole hell of a lot of time. Two hours and you would have to face him again. What would he do? No doubt it would be awkward and tense as hell, given it was basically the first time you would be seeing each other after your little one night stand. But most importantly...

...What the hell would it mean for your punishment? He's probably not too pleased with you, that's for sure.

What have I gotten myself into...Maybe robbing a bank and being so overzealous has caught up to me.

You think, staring at the white ceiling of the small cell.

Before you knew it, two hours had passed, and a guard came to retrieve you and escort you to L. On the way, you see that you were headed to a different building, but still an apartment somewhere in the inner city.

"Jeez, an apartment again? Does this guy not learn or does he just never go outside?"

You say, smirking, but earning no response from the officers driving you there.

"Tough crowd."

You say, looking out the window. Once there, you were pulled out of the car where five guards were waiting, taking control and bringing you into the building. Security was upped this time, there were guards stationed on every exit. Hell, there was even security to get in the building.

Finally, you find yourself in front of his door after a tense elevator ride up, and they knock in a pattern before it clicks open, while your heart starts pounding.

Seeing him there, you take a deep breath as you can't help but get...Nervous. He must be mad, and that could mean a lot of things for you.

"Thank you for escorting her. Please attach her handcuffs to the table in the living room and wait outside the door."

He says, and the two officers escorting you do so while you sit down before him. After not long, they leave, locking the door before you look up to L. He had a stone cold and almost scornful expression on, and he picks up your file before opening it up and leafing through, not saying a word to you.

"H-Hey, long time no see."

You smile, and he completely ignores you while he pulls out a paper from the thick folder containing all the crimes you've committed.

"Um, I said hey."

You say, getting slightly annoyed. If theres one thing you couldnt stand, it was being ignored.

"What do you want."

He asks in a sharp and intimidating tone, looking up.

"Are you not going to say anything at all? We had such a fun chase and I was dragged out here to be questioned was I not?"

You ask with a smile, and he sighs, still not saying a thing.

"Aww, you're not still mad about me escaping are you? Sorry, but you brought that one on yourself."

You taunt, and he visibly gets irritated, giving you a look of annoyance mixed with what you could only describe as a cold hatred, before his grey eyes slide back down to the paper.

He's still ignoring me. What an ass.

You think, getting irritated before deciding to mess with him until he finally talked.

"Youre trying to deny what happened and why I escaped the first time, arent you? No matter how much you don't want to believe it, we did in fact sleep together. And I got away because of that."

You say, seeing his cheeks immediately get a little hot, and you let a small laugh fall from your lips.

"That's in the past."

He says bluntly, and you cross your legs as you already begin thinking about how you would slip away a second time, looking around the apartment.

"Hm. I think it's a little more than something that can just be looked over. Think about it. Ace, the worlds most famous criminal, finally caught after years of being hunted down. Obviously the worlds best detective can keep an eye on her while the courts sort everything out, right? Apparently not. He was too busy putting himself to sleep by having s-"

You begin, but get interrupted by him getting up and firmly putting both hands down on the table hard, making you jump.

"DON'T bring that up."

He snaps, and you roll your eyes.

"Oh so what? What's done is done. It's not like that was your first time or anything, right?"

You say, and he shifts a bit before looking down, bringing his hand to his unruly dark hair.

"Oh my god...IT WAS?!"

You say , wide eyed. You see his cheeks darken a bit as he looks down, and you can't help but smile.

"No way....Not only did I manage to sleep with the world's greatest detective, I also managed to be his first?! God damn, guess I can't steal anything more valuable than the world's greatest detective's v-card, so maybe it's for the best you caught me after all. Where do you go when you reach the top?"

You laugh, and he sighs.

"Good for you."

He eventually says as he looks away, obviously embarrassed and slightly hurt.

"But...Look, despite how I feel, I came here because I'm willing to make a deal with you. You see, unlike you, I have an actual reputation to uphold. Obviously, what happened is not information I need to get out, so.."

He says, placing his words carefully.

"I'm willing to pull some strings and shorten your sentence if you stay quiet."

He says, looking to you with his deep eyes that were stone cold.

"And what if I don't?"

"Simple. I'll give you the longest one I can. You're underestimating what kind of gravity my word has in the legal system."

He says, not buying into your games.

"Alright then mister I'm so important, deal."

You say, and his expression doesnt change in the slightest, but he did look at you for a moment to make sure you really meant it.

"Fine. Keep in mind though that I'm putting a minimal amount of trust into you, even though I absolutely shouldn't, based on your previous manipulation. I swear, one step out of line, and its life in prison."

He says, in a cold as ice tone.

"If theres one thing I'm good at, its keeping my mouth shut."

You answer, and he sighs before he looks to the folder.

"Anyway, in terms of bending your sentence, I could shave off ten years of prison, and give parole after three years. Technically I can bend it any way I want, so keep that in mind if you're thinking of trying anything. Cooperate and maybe we can negotiate more."

He says, and you smirk.

"How are we thinking of negotiating more, hm? I can cooperate in more ways than one~"

You wink, trying to mess with him...Sort of. You couldn't help it, it was just so easy.

"Don't go there. Do you understand how angry at myself I was? And what that did to my self esteem? You used me without a second thought, just so you could continue a life of crime."

He says, and your shoulders sink while that harsh truth hit you, your playful mood out of you quick.

"I...I know... But look, do you think I wanted to go to prison? I had to get away somehow. Excuse me for taking your virginity in the process."

"Tch. What else could I expect from a selfish criminal such as yourself."

He snaps, and you lean back in your chair before sighing.

"Look, I'm sorry, okay? I...I know I did something awful to you. I did what I had to...But if I had a chance to make things up I would."

You say, and he rolls his eyes
