I walk to my locker in tears I can't believe how big of a idiot I was. Thinking it was him, finding out his lie. What I'm talking about is the guy I have been on a few dates with I thought it was him sending me notes secret admire notes for the past year. He told me it was him and after going on a few dates with him it didn't feel right. I would never let him kiss me or anything because I just felt like it wasn't right. Now I found out because of his big mouth telling his friends that he only lied because he "liked" me and didn't want another boy to steal my heart.

"I hate being lied too," I said to myself quietly, I opened my locker and saw a note inside. I opened it.
Dear ______,
Hi love I heard what happened you thought James was me because he claimed he wrote the letters to you. I would have written to you saying he wasn't but you looked so happy but I guess you really weren't I'm sorry.
It did hurt when you thought someone else was me, but now I'm not going to hide anymore at the masquerade ball on Saturday we will finally meet. I'll be wearing a blue mask. How will you know it is me well because I got you a mask as well that will match yours. So I'll know it is you.

I smiled at the note and picked up the mask it was beautiful.

I put it back into my locker and put the note in my bag. And started walking to class . "AHH MONSTA X!!" A girl screamed and 6 boys walked into the hallway, I didn't pay much attention to them. I noticed that one boy was missing though, " Hey Shownu Oppa where is Minhyuk?" A girl asked "he got here early you missed him," he tells her. I guess he did I did see his car, I continued to walk to class and I did see Minhyuk already there. I sat next to my best friend Yeonjung. "Hey you okay?" She asked "yeah look what I got in my locker," I said showing her the note.

"Oh my gosh what does it say?" She asked "he wants to meet at the ball he gave me a mask and he will be wearing a similar colored one," I tell her. "Finally you will meet your actually meet your real Prince Charming," she says "yeah," I said . I smiled finally I get to meet him the real him.

End of the school day.
I was walking back to my locker I grab the mask and put it in my bag and put a few things in my locker. And once I closed it James was right there. "Can we talk please?" He asked "no leave me alone," I tell him walking away he followed me outside and grab my wrist. "Listen I'm sorry I tricked you saying I was the one sending you notes but I couldn't bare to lose you to another guy specially knowing who it is," he tells me. I look at him, he knows? "You know who was putting notes in my locker?" I asked him.

"Yes you want to know?" He asked. I got out of his grip, "no I don't I will be finding out soon, we are finally going to meet face to face at the ball," I tell him. I started walking away, "wait meeting him no you can't meet him," he tells me grabbing me again. "Why can't I ?" I asked him. "Because He is," before he can finish what he was saying he was hit by a football and fell on his face. "Oops Sorry James," Someone Said it was Monsta X. James got up, "what are you guys doing here?" He asked them. "Just playing some catch and hanging out then we saw you bothering ______ what are you trying to pull James?" Asked I.M

"Simple to tell her who has been sending her those notes and how she should avoid that guy," he tells them. I just rolled my eyes, "James I don't want to hear from you who he is I want to find out for myself and I want you to leave me alone," I tell him. I started walking away, "but _____ it is Min-" he couldn't finish what he said because Minhyuk punched him. I froze, "MINHYUK STOP IT!!" I yelled at him and he stopped, "what is wrong with you?" The next day Friday
I went out and I found the perfect dress.

We sat down on our seats, when we heard a seat move it was Izzy one of the most popular girls in school. She got up and walked over to Minhyuk's desk just as he sat down.

"Minhyuk oppa?" She says to him. He looks up at her annoyed, "what?" He asked her rudely, "I was wondering why you didn't ask me to the ball yet?" She asked. "Because I have no intention to ask and take you to the ball I already have a date," he tells her. Everyone was surprised, "W-Who?" She asked "none of your business now go away," he tells her. She went and sat back in her seat, "Minhyuk can be scary sometimes," Said Yeonjung "Yeah," I Said and I looked at him, he is cute though. Then he looks right at I felt my cheeks flush and I quickly turn back around my heart was beating really fast.

She was looking at me, and blushing . I smiled I also felt my cheek becoming red. I'm excited but yet nervous for tomorrow what if she doesn't like me the same way? What if she hates me? I'm so nervous. I hope everything will go well tomorrow.

I put on my dress and mask and did my hair and put in my headband, and I headed that way to place where the ball will be held with Yeonjung. "Don't be nervous," she tells me. "Trying not to be," I tell her. And we made it and went into the hall. "Okay good luck finding him," Said Yeonjung she gave me a hug and went on her way. I walked around a bit but no sign of him anywhere, looking for a mask that was similar to mine in someways . But no luck I let a breath, "maybe he's not coming," I said to myself when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and I'm front of me was a boy with the same colored mask as me. Wearing a black suit with a dark blue tie.

"Have you been looking for me love?" He asked my heart was beating fast I knew it I didn't get this feeling with James this is really him. I covered my mouth with both of my hands I wanted to cry. He smiled at me, "don't cry princess," he tells me and takes one of my hands and kisses it. "I just can't believe that you're really in front of me," I tell him. "Same here," he says then a song started playing. "Care to dance?" He ask me . I took his hand and went to dance .

1 hour later
We went outside to the Gazebo.

We admired the stars out. "It's so beautiful," I said "not as beautiful as you," he says to me. I smiled, "I never thought in a million years a girl like me that keeps her nose in books would ever get someone's attention," I tell him. "Well you did to be honest with you I never thought I would ever fall for someone," he tells me. "You know my name and face but I don't know yours can you tell me who you are now?" I asked him. He paused for a moment, "before I do will you hear me out and not run away?" He asked "yes," I answered him. "Okay close you're eyes," he tells me and I.

I felt my mask being taken away and I guess he took off his as well. "Okay open them," he tells me. I did my eyes widen. "Minhyuk?" I Said it was Minhyuk standing in front of me looking so nervous. "I'm sorry I'm not what you expected," he says to me. I was just in shock, one of the most popular boys in school has been sending me letters for the past year. "I can't believe this, this can't be real," I said "it is real I do like you a lot but I never knew how to tell you so I started sending you those letters and seeing you smile from reading them made me so happy but James found out and claimed he wrote them," he tells me.

"Why didn't you say anything or stop him?" I asked "because you looked happy and I didn't want to ruin your happiness but then I found out you weren't really and you found out the truth so that's why I decided to reveal myself now," he tells me. "So that's why you punched James to stop him from telling me it was you?" I asked him. "Yeah James isn't a big fan of me it's pretty obvious," he says to me. I stood there amazed but shocked my heart was beating fast how it's been beating for the last hour. "I'm sorry if you don't like me the same way I understand I just wanted to at least spend one evening with you even if it's under the mask," he tells me.

"Minhyuk," I Said he looks at me. "What?" He asked . I walk up to him and lean in and kiss his lips, my heart was beating faster and this time it felt right. I stepped away and he looks at me, "why did you kiss me?" He asked "because I realized I didn't just fell for a boy sending me love Note I fell for the boy who wrote them and is standing in front of me," I tell him. He smiles and wraps his arms around my waist and kisses me again I kiss back and wrap my arms around his neck. This was literally the best night of my life.
