🎶 She's driving me crazy, but I'm into it
I'm kind of into it 🎶

Waluna's POV

My head has never felt heavier than this. I wake up on top of a double bed with no memories of how I got here only to notice that I'm still wearing my dirty-ass uniform.

I need to get changed, my body rolls out of bed almost collapsing on to the carpet floor. Why am I so weak?

Standing up my eyes roam around the clean room noticing a new uniform placed beside from where I left and two doors. I walk up to one of them which opens to a bathroom...

The clock and the water running are the only thing making noise until my stomach growls...

The clock reads 1.30 pm, my hands fly to my head.

I slept until the next day.

Getting myself into the dark blue jacket, I pull up my hair into a ponytail and walk out the room to look for the canteen.

The steel elevator is just at the end of this corridor, and my mind wanders with possibilities of the location of the canteen. I should start with the places I've been before.

There was a guy who helped me find my way around here, I'm just unsure of which buttons did he press. My fingers hover on top of a button named "CRG".

Hunger takes over my patience and my index finger lands on it, dropping me approximately 3 floors down. I just hope I'm right.

The doors open revealing those double doors and going in my guess was correct, my feet skip towards the end of the short line and I order my food.

The hall is spacious, there are extremely long tables with benches on either side all organized so there is a comfortable walking space between each table. Everyone seems to be minding their own business, then it hits me.

Zoey.

I totally forgot to meet up with her yesterday! What was I doing... Wait, was I shouting at Michael?

A tall shadow hovers over me.

"Waluna c'mon!" Michael taps me on my shoulder but I don't move from my seat. I barely touched my food I'm not leaving!

"No Mike." I reply, lifting the fork to my mouth. He slowly walks back to stand on my right.

"Who said we were on nickname bases?" I stare back at his shocked face, chewing my food unbothered. It's not like he can just drag me away.

"I don't have time for this-" He grabs my right arm and pulls me away and my food is left sadly sitting alone on the table.

Typical Michael behaviour.

We enter the Blue base and the training ground is empty.

"I'm going to show you around the place, just follow me while I talk through what exactly happened yesterday." I roll my eyes, fixing the sleeves he ruffled with his hands.

We start off with the bottom floor. It has 4 different training stations, with some sort of storage area where they keep most of the equipment.

We use one of the side stairs that lead us upstairs, where there are more training stations but it's similar to a simulation room except having stations being divided by a single wall. Everything that would be white being blue or black.

We stroll along the single path behind the stations and near a balcony.

"Don't go to any mission if my name is not on the list, if they ask you to do something that involves leaving this whole building tell me immediately. You should not be leaving this base or your dorm for no reason-" I interrupt him.

"So I can't use the canteen?" He tries to hold himself from pushing me over the balcony.

"You know what I mean." He closes his eyes for a second.

Michael is a very angry man. One who already wakes up with a temper and end his day with another. I cannot understand why but it's quite funny.

But what is not funny is my leftover meal sitting in the canteen crying out for me.

"Can I go back to eat-"

"OF COURSE NOT!" I'm taken aback, what is wrong with him, again?

Suddenly we hear one of the elevators open, and it doesn't take too long to figure out who comes in.

"Yo! Michael! Have you seen-" He stops on his tracks, and looks up to see us at the top floor.

"Waluna?" He breathes out.

"Yes, she is right there..." Mike points at me, I start smiling.

"No, I mean... Erm Meghan!" He manages to say, waving his hands in denial.

Mike mocks him, by desperately turning around 'looking' for her until he finally stops and says.

"It seems that I have not seen any traces of annoying little bratty Meghan anywhere, please make sure to return the way you came and fuck off."

I quickly hide my growing laugh by pretending to cough and it works.

Without any words left, the guy walks back.

"So can you please explain what happened because I have a meal to finish." I yawn leaning against the clear balcony frame.

He stops his intense gaze at the guy's back to look down on me, with his hands on either side of his hip. Such posture highlighting his shoulders muscles.

"First of all, I confirmed that you're Blue because there was an increase of kinetic and potential energy that was produced by you, but then out of nowhere there were random bursts of electricity being used in some way I'm not sure if you can explain it?"

My mind starts to wander off to the meal I left on the table. I stare at him blankly. His facial expression shifts to pure confusion.

"Did you hear a word I just said? How are you so calm now?"

"I heard you... Can you just repeat your question?" I tilt my head.

"You don't remember anything from yesterday?" I nod in agreement.

"You fainted in Dr Lysander's office and I brought you to your room..." He continues, I sigh playing with one of my curls.

He looks at me, up and down before talking to himself.

"Yeah maybe it's a good idea you start going to Erica's office frequently." He scratches the back of his head.

"If you remember, can you please tell me what happened in the simulation?" He moves closer to me. I look up to him while bits of my memory start to build up. My hands start covering each other.

"Erm... So, I was in a boat- like a very old boat and it was a stormy night." I stop myself from continuing. I look to the side.

I remember Clarissa being there.

"What happened?" He lifts his hands to touch my shoulder, but I rapidly move away before he gets the chance to.

I try my best to simplify what happened.

"A girl was there and I saved her from a lighting bolt." I lower my head immediately.

"How exactly did you save her?-" I bite my lower lip.

"Erm, I don't know if I saved her..." I breathe in.

"... I mean she appeared out of nowhere." I shrug my shoulders, my throat swells up.

He noticed my shift in posture so he stated.

"You can talk to Eric- I mean Dr Lysander, about this if you don't want to tell me." I can feel his eyes staring at the top of my head, I just accept and try to regain my composure.

"Hey at least you get to spend more time with me!" His sarcasm makes me level my eyes with his, to show my disgusted face.
Which surprisingly takes out a genuine smile from him.

We then both turn to the guy who appears again waiting for us to finish.

Mike covers his face with his hand.

"Tyler..." So that's his name.

"What do you want!" I physically move two steps away from him.

I am so glad to know that deafness across the world can be cured from a single man called Mike.

The boy makes his way towards the stairs to us, appearing more confident than before.

"Can I take her to show the rest of the Agency, please." It's the first time I'm able to hear his voice so still, he has a nice voice.

Mike takes one breath in, and another. And another one. He doesn't do anything else, he's just breathing, his eyes are closed, fists clenched.

I shoot a worrying look at Tyler and one back at Mike.

At the spur of the moment Tyler waves towards the exit, in the same second leading me away from mental-breakdown-Mike. When we reach the safety of the elevator we both exchange worrisome looks.

We break out in the most uncontrolled laughter, which seemed to last at least a full minute.

"What the fuck, was that?' I lean against the wall, trying to hold myself from all that laughing.

"It's just Professor Michael, in his purest form." He lets out another laugh, supporting himself on his knees.

"Where are we heading to?" I ask hopefully not outside the building... Hey at least I'm going to try and follow his rules so he doesn't end up having a stroke.

"CRG, Canteen and Recreational Grounds." My face lights up I'm going back to my food.

"There's lots of spots I wanna show you, where me and my friends hang out." He looks at me with the same happy face. I maintain my now fake smile. Guess I'm done eating...

We walk through the canteen to its back doors entering what seems like a main hall.

The expansive place is all white with a very high glass ceiling, multiple chairs on the sides with two big screens on either end of the hall. Showing the time, and other important announcements.

Everyone looks around our age, each with different coloured tops representing their powers. Some are heading to other doors, while others huddle around in groups laughing or playing around.

"This is not even the start of it." He smiles knowing that I am still trying to process everything in.

"Let's start with the main door." He walks to the middle of the place walking straight ahead. The doors open up to of the largest swimming pool my eyes ever witness with two more behind it.

I lean over the balcony to get a closer look at everything. Groups of friends walking to what seems a changing room, while the rest are having the time of their lives inside the pools.

"There's more, let's go!" His voice is slightly raised because of the loud shrieks and random screams below.

I follow him down the stairs on our left, not turning to go to the pool we cut to a side door.

The place is narrow. Its walls are covered with random drawings and posters. It has a small set of stairs that take us to another door.

Behind it there is an enormous cinema screen with bright coloured lounges where you can have private conversations with drinks too, and not forgetting to mention the fucking soft sofas placed around the place.

That's where we stop.

"Do you ever get bored in here?" I drop my ass on one of the pink sofas.

He pauses to think for a moment.

"Not really, if you're not doing anything here then you are probably training, if not then you are in a mission." He softly speaks, walking up to sit near me.

That's when I realise how comfortable I was with this guy, it rarely happens with anyone. It took a while with Zoey, and it was Clarissa who came to me. I am fascinated.

"I really don't know how I'm so comfortable around you..." He is taken aback.

"No, no I mean like, it takes a long time before I usually open up to someone, but with you I just can say anything and not regret it, it's wild..." I chuckle, looking around admiring the place.

"Yeah, same here but different if you know what I mean-"

"What?" I scrunch my nose.

He opens his mouth to reply to my question but the sound of the doors sliding so fast, knock the words out of him.

"TY WHERE WERE YOU?! HAVE YOU CHECKED THE BOARDS?" Just like that, the mood immediately drops. A short brunette comes rushing in, with her dark eyes locked on him.

He quickly stands up which emphasizes her short height.

"I WAS LOOKING FOR YOU!" She continues on yelling.

Tyler tries to calm her down with a few hushes, but it doesn't work as she's like a bunch of firecrackers held together in front of a huge flame.

With desperation growing, the only way Tyler seemed to know how to tame her is with a simple hug, although he clearly looks annoyed before doing it.

I peacefully stand up, slowly walking away from the random adorable moment heading back to Mike.

"Wait Waluna." Tyler breaks away from the hug, bad choice.

"Let me walk you back up-"

"Oh, I never knew she was a fucking dog." The girl interrupts, side eyeing me.

My mouth is left on the floor.

She struts and stops right in between us, crossing her arms and proceeds on giving me a death stare. Her eyes flicker red.

Guess I was right, she's a Red.

He exhales before saying.

"We can all go together." He looks disappointed and points towards the exit. I lead the way making sure to speed up on the stairs or else she would start barking to hurry up.

I am not in the right mind for an argument plus I'm pretty sure she can kill me before I can shout for help, so I kept my cool.

Walking back to the main hall, a loud continuous alarm blasts over the whole place and I turn back to ask Tyler what it is, but I guess I was walking up all alone...
