Keith sighed running a hand through his tangled hair. Lance watched gulping at the the sight as a light blush rose to his cheeks.

The other paladins watched the two practically ripping their hair out at their obliviousness.

"Jeez could you two just kiss already! You're starting to get on my nerves!" Pidge yelled huffing angrily.

"Me?! Kiss Keith!? Not in a million years! That's... gross!" Lance said defensively.

"We're rivals remember." Keith shot back. "Besides its Lance. Never gonna happen."

They all just rolled their eyes, the two boys were hopeless.

The incident was thought to be forgotten but it was the only thing on everyone's mind in the Castle of Lions.

Lance went to his room and laid on his bed smiling to himself. He was running imaginary scenes in his head of him and Keith being boyfriends. Maybe one or two were he gets to see his family again and introduces Keith. His mom would be asking a million questions like what he did in his pass time or when was the last time he went for a check up at the doctor.

Lances brothers and sisters would tease them and hang on their arms and legs. Aggie would probably ask if she could braid Keith's hair.

Lance smiled wider at the thought and squeezed a pillow tightly.

Keith was training trying to take his mind off the tan boy. What would happen if they'd ever actually got together. He'd have a better chance of winning the lottery than dating Lance. He thought about what it would be like.

He'd hate it.

Lance would hug him. Hold his hand. Maybe kiss him. He felt something jump in his stomach and was nearly hit by the simulator.

Okay, maybe he wouldn't hate it.

Lance would play with his hair. Cuddle him. Flirt. Make stupid pick up lines.

Okay, maybe he'd love it.

He sighed. It would never happen though. "End simulation."

"Paladins, meet in the control pit." Allura's voice came in through the intercom calmly.

Keith and Lance both made their way there unaware of the uncomfortable situation waiting for them.

They both saw each other before entering but didn't make eye contact. When they walked in they went wide eyed and red faced. The doors shut and locked behind them. It was a trap.

The others stood underneath a large sign with big red letters saying 'intervention'.

They held up signs reading 'KLANCE' and 'END OUR SUFFERING'.

"Klance?" Keith repeated confused.

"It's Keith and Lance together." Hunk informed.

Lance was silent standing behind Keith. He wanted to know what the raven haired boys reaction to this was, maybe it would give him a sense if he did have an interest or not.

"You guys can't just put up signs and expect us to date." Keith said defensively.

"Would you actually be opposed to the idea?" Lance asked quiet and nervous wringing his hands.

Keith turned to look at Lance. "Could you guys give us a moment alone?" They nodded and exited.

Lance felt fuzzy and nervous, Keith sent them out because he's going to reject him. He felt a lump in his throat and a sting in his eyes but refused to cry.

"Yes. I am." Keith said quickly.

Lance felt a hard ping in his chest. He should've expected it. He took in a shaky breath and pursed his lips. He refused to cry but everything burned. "O-kay, that's- that's okay." Lance turned around quickly and pulled open the door exiting quickly. He just humiliated himself in front of Keith his crush. It wouldn't be the same between them again and it will be forever awkward.

When Lance got to his room he sat on his bed still in shock. He put on a sweater and plaid pajama bottoms. When he laid in bed he thought about Keith rejecting him again.

He sniffled and before he could cry there was a knock at the door. He didn't respond, maybe whoever it is will think he's somewhere else.

"Lance, it's Keith, I think I should explain myself." He spoke through the door.

Lance remained quiet. He didn't want to talk to him, he'd probably cry.

He heard Keith shuffle a bit, "Lance, I know you're in there. I saw you go to your room."

Lance still didn't respond. He heard a sigh and knew Keith left. After a minute or two Lance snuck to his door and opened it. No one was in the hallway and he took off making his way to the hangers.

He got in the blue lion and sat in the pilots chair telling Blue everything. It made Lance feel better.

After an hour or so he decided to go back to his room. He was walking down the hallway and heard his name called behind him down the hall. Lance twirled around to see Keith.

They looked at each other for a moment. "Lance can I talk to you? I just want to expla-." Keith started but Lance was already making a break for his room.

Keith chased after him running as quickly as he could. "Just leave me alone Keith!" Lance snapped, his room in sight.

"No!" Keith yelled. He was gaining on Lance.

Lance quickly slid open his door and just before it shut Keith stopped it. "What?" Lance asked coldly.

"Let me in?" Keith asked.

Lance folded his arms reluctantly but when Keith stared at him with those violet eyes he could get anything he wanted. He let him in. "Look, it's fine that you don't like me. It's not your fault I just need some time to-," Lance started.

"I never said I didn't like you." Keith stated quickly.

"I'm talking romantically Keith." Lance said sitting on his bed.

"I know." Keith sat next to him. "Lance, I don't want you do date me because the others think we should or if you're pressured into it."

Lance almost laughed out loud. "Keith I didn't ask you because I felt I had to. I've liked you since the garrison."

"Really?" Keith asked surprised.

"Don't make me feel bad about it." Lance rubbed the back of his neck embarrassed.

Keith smiled and leaned forward kissing Lance.

Lance smiled into the kiss and broke it resting his head on Keith. Keith smiled and pet his hair.

"Took them long enough." Hunk said as he ate some popcorn. Everyone nodded in agreement.
