I live for this.^

We drove back to the hotel and prepared for the investigation equipping ourselves with cameras each getting our own. We had several communication devices and flashlights.

"Ready?" Lance asked unlocking the door.

"Ready to watch you freak out about ghosts all night before realizing they aren't real? Bring it." I chuckled switching on the camera him doing the same.

"Get ready to eat your words." He pulled one of the large doors open and we walked in already getting eerie vibes.

3rd person POV:

The two reluctantly stepped into the building standing close to the door. Keith shut the door causing Lance to jump slightly.

"Scared?" Keith mocked.

"No!" Lance said defensively. They were both scared whether they'd like to admit it or not.

"We need to go to floor 3 first. That's where a lot of 'activity' is." Keith said using air quotes.

"Did-did you just?" Lance stared at him.

"Did I just what?"

"Did you just use air quotes?" Lance laughed a little despite trying to be serious.

"Yes."

"No, just don't. Don't." He said walking slowly through to the stairs.

Keith rolled his eyes. "Whatever." Keith pushed past him as Lance was walking so slow it was painful. "Nothing's going to jump out at you." He said annoyed.

As they walked Lance held back giggles and laughs as he zoomed in with the camera on Keith's butt.

"What?" Keith asked turning around. Lance quickly aimed the camera back up.

"Nothing!" He said quickly out of fear of being punched.

Keith eyed him suspiciously before they went up the stairs to floor 3.

"We should stay right here a minute and see if we can talk to them." Lance said sitting cross-cross-apple-sauce on the floor.

"Them?" Keith raised an eyebrow sitting across from him leaning against the wall.

"The ghosts dummy." Lance pulled out a communication device that can pick up ghosts voices. Keith was still extremely skeptical.

"Riiiiiigghht." Keith said sarcastically.

"Whatever. Are there any ghosts here with us tonight?" He waited a moment but nothing came through.

Keith shot him an 'I told you so' look but Lance wasn't giving up that easily.

"What's your name?" Lance asked. As much as he was trying to talk to the ghosts of the hotel, he actually didn't want to find anything. It would scare him shîtless if he received an intelligent response.

After a few more moments Lance gave up and turned off the communication device. "Guess their favorite color is too personal-." Lance began to laugh but was cut of when a breathy whisper hit his ear sending chills up his spine.
'Blue.'

(Insert Finn scream) Lance jumped five feet in the air and running clinging to Keith for dear life. Keith however was startled too, but not by ghosts, by Lance's sudden outburst.

"I-I-I-I-it wh-whispered in my-y ear!" Lance exclaimed.

"Stop it. You're just trying to screw with me and get me to believe in that BS." Keith rolled his eyes and Lance was seconds from tearing his head off. Keith began to laugh. "You scream like a girl!"

"No dude! I'm serious! It said blue! And I have a manly scream I'll have you know!"

"Whatever you say." Keith chuckled and zoomed in on Lances face teasingly.

"What are you doing?"

"Capturing your shame." Keith smiled widely. "I wanna remember it for a loooooong time."

Lance huffed in annoyance and walked to room 3. "We need to investigate this room. Someone died in here." (Yo just gonna tell you now, this is not accurate, just don't wanna look at the entire history of Hotel Alex Johnson. I'm lazy.)

"Ooooh spooky." Keith chuckled following Lance in.

"You talk to them this time." Lance said sitting on the bed.

"Fine." Keith sat on a chair in the corner and pulled out the device getting it ready setting the camera on the table next to him still recording. Lance paused his recording to look back at the footage when he heard the whisper. He listened closely. There was a very audible whisper that came through obviously saying 'blue' then Lances high pitched scream came through.

Keith began to laugh. "Your scream is even better the second time hearing it."

"Shut up! Did you hear that?! I caught the whisper on camera!" Lance scowled replaying it causing Keith's laughter do die.

"There's probably a perfectly logical explanation. Like a breeze or something." Keith shrugged.

"Are you serious?!" Lance threw his arms up in the air. "It said Blue! That's an intelligent response."

"Yeah whatever. Are there any ghosts in here?" Keith asked quickly already expecting to get no response.

Nothing. "You don't sound genuine. Hey, ghosts? If you're here, we're sorry about whatever happened to you but can you say something to show this skeptic that you're real." Lance said shooting Keith a dirty look.

Nothing. "See? Ghosts aren't real, they never will be. Hey ghosts! See these guy right here? I'll give you his address right now." Keith stood up pointing at Keith.

"KEITH!!!! DO YOU WANT ME TO DIE!!" Lance covered his mouth. "Sorry ghosts, please don't come to my house."

Keith pulled Lances hand off his mouth. "Oh please, even if ghosts were real they can't harm you remember."

"Nu-uh! There are poltergeists and demons!" Lance exclaimed.

"Those aren't real either. You're just being paranoid. Ghost, demons, goblins, their all the same! Made up in order to scare people!"

A single voice came through the communication device. "Run."

Keith and Lance both looked at each other and screamed. They both rushed to get out of the room as fast as possible. They reached the stairs and huffed to catch their breath from running.

Lance looked at Keith smugly. "Don't even. It has to be a.... coincidence." Keith stood up and leaned against the wall.

"Keith?" Lance said standing back up straight.

"Yeah?"

"I think I'm going to punch you right in your skepticism."

Keith laughed a little and so did Lance just a little more reluctantly. "Wait." Keith went wide eyed and looked around a bit cautiously.

"What?" Lance said already ready to make a B-line for the car.

"I left the camera and flashlight in the room." Keith rubbed his neck slightly guilty.

"Keith please tell me you're kidding." Lance whined.

"It's fine I'll just walk in and get it. Stay here." Keith turned to get it when Lance grabbed his arm.

"No way in hell. Haven't you seen every movie ever! Splitting up leads directly to death. Plus the pretty ones always die first, so I'm in trouble."

"Whatever, you're just scared." Keith rolled his eyes.

"Fine, I'm scared. But for good reasons. It literally just told us to run."

"Alright, you can come. Just don't pee yourself if the wood creaks." Keith smirked as he continued to walk. He wouldn't admit it, but he actually didn't want to go alone either.

Lance was stuck to Keith's shirt hiding behind him as they walked. "Keith if we die, I blame you."

"What? Why?" Keith said acting offended.

"You're the one who forgot your camera." Lance scoffed.

"You're the one clinging to my shirt because you couldn't be left alone." Keith said stopping in front of the room.

"Psh, whatever. I only came because I knew you were actually scared to be alone." Lance rested his chin on Keith's shoulder eyeing the door.

"You're so full of BS!"

"So, you gonna open it or what?" Lance smirked.

"Yes," Keith gulped pressing his hand to the cracked door. "I'm not as much of a wimp as you."

Lances grip tightened on his shirt as Keith pushed it open looking in but not making any attempt to enter.

"See? Clear. No supernatural beings." Keith said confidently gesturing to the dark empty room. Keith had his back now turned to the room and as he did so, Lanes face turned white and wide eyed. "What?"

Keith turned to see a small child smiling creepily at them near the bed. They both stood in shock scared to even move a muscle. They had no question on what to do when the child began to run at them full speed screaming. The child's scream mixed in with the two boys' high pitched female screams.

They clung to each other before Keith reached and slammed the door quicker than a bullet and they began to run quicker than either of them ever have in their lifetime for the van outside.

When they stumbled out of the large entry doors in a panic not stopping until they were in the front seats of the vehicle huffing and puffing for air.

"WHAT IN THE TRUCK WAS THAT!" Keith yelled looking at Lance with horrified eyes.

"A ghost!! Duh!" They sat in silence for a second more before bursting out in laughter.

"Your scream though!" Keith could barely get out the sentence he was laughing so hard.

"My scream?! Yours sounded like a girl!" Lance said in the same state as Keith.

"Oh and yours wasn't?!" Keith fired back.

"And what was the whole thing with closing the door?! It's a ghost!"

"I don't know! I panicked!" They could only laugh harder and when they wiped their tears of not just joy but of trauma they could only help but notice their close proximity.

Lance was the first to really make the first move. He set his hand on Keith's jawline right under the ear and leaned forward. Keith didn't take long at all to catch on and helped close the gap.

When they pulled apart Keith suddenly looked defeated. "Damn." He said his eyes narrowing.

"What?" Lance said slightly worried that he messed up with kissing him and that Keith wasn't really interested.

"We never did get our equipment. I'm not going back in there either."

"Guess we could make do with what I got until we get it back." Lance suggested holding up his camera smugly. "Guess it fair to say you're not a skeptic anymore."

"Yeah no kidding." Keith said planting a kiss on his cheek causing Lance to blush.

(Sponge bob thingy) Some time lator:

"Hey Lance?" Keith questioned as he was looking through the footage caught on Lanes camera.

"Hm?" Lance walked over leaning down wrapping his arm around his boyfriend kissing his cheek.

"Why is there five minutes of footage of my butt?"

Lance almost choked on nothing. "I forgot I did that."

"Why did you do that?!" Keith was laughing but genuinely wanted an answer.

"It was cute. Right there. I had a camera. I saw the opportunity and took it." Lance said casually.

Keith simply face palmed but laughed, he admitted, it was pretty funny.
