"Took you long enough weirdo" Bakugo remarked, his body resting on the door frame of his own home, his red eyes bearing in to Y/n's.

"Oh, am I late? Is everyone else already here?" Y/n asked, looking past her blonde friend's shoulders, trying to see if any of the other participants of the study group were there.

"No" Bakugo huffed, moving to the side so she could get through.

"Then why were you throwing a hissy fit Katsuki" Y/n replied, rolling her eyes before moving to take her shoes off at the foyer.
Just as she bent down to untie her shoelaces, Bakugo kicked her in the butt, making her fall flat on her face. He quickly sprinted away, knowing he had probably angered her.

There was a brief silence, making Bakugo unsure about his actions.

"Did that idiot hit her head too hard or something?" he whispered, slowly peeking his head back in to the hallway that gave on to the foyer.

Just as he did, he noticed Y/n jump up right in front of his face, her silvery nails quickly slashing towards him as she let out a hiss.
He had completely forgotten how quiet she could be on her feet.

"ARE YOU CRAZY?" he shouted, her cat-like claws just barely missing his face as he jumped back, his hands immediately igniting with small explosions.
Y/n glared up at him, her nails quickly retracting as she flipped her hair away from her face.

"Meh, I knew you'd dodge it anyway" she shrugged, ignoring his tense fighting stance.

There was a brief silence between them as Y/n dropped her bag on to the ground next to one of the chairs at the rectangular table.
Someone rang the doorbell, making Bakugo huff before shuffling his feet over to the front door once again, opening it to reveal Kaminari and Sero.

"Hey!" Sero grinned, walking in and quickly fistbumping Bakugo, Kaminari following in.
The blonde with the happy face looked down the corridor, noticing Y/n who had just lifted up her gaze.

"Kaminari! Sero!" she waved, motioning them to come in, Bakugo following behind, grumbling under his breath. It was clear he wasn't really in a good mood.

The angry boy sat down in his seat, his forehead resting on the table just as the doorbell rang once more.

"FOR FUCK'S SAKE" he shouted, stomping his foot on the ground.

"LANGUAGE" a shriek from the first floor came. Y/n laughed at Mitsuki's reply to her son as she placed a hand on Bakugo's back.

"It's ok, I'll go get it"

She made her way back to the front of the house and swung the door open, her gaze meeting with a pair of purple irises.

"Shinso, hi" she smiled, standing to the side so he'd walk in. He whispered a quiet 'hello', not looking at her twice as he moved past her, going straight to the back of the house where he could see the three boys sitting at the table.

"Everyone's in a good mood today" Y/n commented.

"Why? Who else is in a bad mood?"

Y/n turned back around to see Mina and Kirishima at the door. She let out a relieved sigh at their smiling faces, thanking the world for giving her some happy people in her life.
She was about to answer her question when a shout from the back did it for her.

"CLOSE THE FUCKING DOOR, YOU'RE LETTING THE COLD AIR OUT" shouted Bakugo, the growl in his voice more prominent than usual.
Mina and Kirishima quickly moved inside, letting Y/n close the door behind them.

As the three of them made their way to the table, Y/n was quick to notice Kaminari happily sitting in the chair next to the one with her bag, while Bakugo was sitting on her other side. Sero was at the end of the table, while Shinso, Mina and Kirishima all sat on the other side.

It took a while for the kids to concentrate, their mind completely elsewhere between gossip, chatting and picking on each other. Bakugo eventually relaxed a bit once they started eating different kind of snacks, kindly provided by his mother.
Eventually they managed to focus on their studying, Y/n getting up, holding their book and asking questions about the current subject. She'd pace around the room, slowly scanning each and every one of them when they'd answer, making sure they weren't cheating in any way, otherwise all of this would have been a waste of their time.

Shinso felt the weight on his mind, his thinking clouded by the unusually small amount of sleep he had gotten, however he still managed to answer better than most of the others as he had always been very good at studying and found it particularly easy. He was smart and he knew it.
He also noticed how Y/n wouldn't ask him many questions, concentrating her efforts on Kaminari, Mina and Kirishima mostly, probably also convinced that he needed the least amount of help.
Shinso took this time to look up at the cat cafรฉ girl, this being the first time he actually saw her without her mask on. His gaze quickly scanned her face, before dropping down to the blonde in front of him, amused by his completely infatuated face as he fawned over Y/n.

"Sometimes I'm glad I dropped out" Y/n sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. She had no idea if she would have ever managed to memorise this much information all at once. It would have probably been very hard.

"Why did you drop out anyway?" Kaminari asked, his head perking up to look at her.

Silence fell across the table. Kirishima was fast to grab Bakugo's shoulder so he wouldn't murder Kaminari.
The truth was that Bakugo had strictly informed every single one of them to not ask anything about Y/n and her drop out.
There was a reason why they didn't know and if they were intended to know, it was up to Y/n to tell them. So Bakugo had ordered them to not make her uncomfortable with any questions regarding.
Yet here he was, Kaminari once again speaking without thinking about what he was saying or asking.

The blonde had obviously realised his mistake as he stood up, quickly placing his hands on the girl's shoulders and shook her in an agitated manner.

"I'm so sorry L/n-san I didn't mean to ask that, I'm sorry" he pleaded, dropping to his knees dramatically, small tears pricking the sides of his eyes as he looked up at her.

Shinso was quick to cover his mouth, the small snicker risking to come out as he watched the scene in front of him.
Y/n on the other hand didn't hesistate to laugh, swiftly waving her hand in a dismissive manner, giving the poor boy a closed eyed smile.

"It's ok Kaminari, no need to worry" she told him, gently ruffling his hair.

Kaminari quickly stopped his excessive crying, trying to regain some dignity as he stood up and dusted his knees off.

"R-Right" he squeaked out, dropping himself in to his chair and hiding his face in the fold of his arm.

"You know, acting like that definitely won't make L/n-san your girlfriend" Shinso smirked, placing his chin on the palm of his hand, his narrow eyes dancing around Kaminari's depressed state.
The blonde's head shot up, shock clear on his face, a bright red hue crossing his cheeks.

"Sh-Shinso!" he wailed, dropping his head back down, trying to avoid any further embarrassment. Bakugo and Sero held back their laughter, surprised at Shinso calling Kaminari out like that.

"Ouch" Mina giggled.

"Kaminari, it's ok, I kind of already knew about your crush" Y/n smiled gently, placing her hand on his shoulder soothingly, sending a glare over at Shinso.
The purple haired boy just rolled his eyes at her before resuming his gaze on Kaminari.

"H-How about you think about your own situation Shinso. It's not like you have a girlfriend to brag about, or anything" Kaminari replied, his face still hidden.
Sero leant over the table, so he was near Kaminari's ear.

"Nice comeback, only took you like three minutes to think of that" he laughed under his breath.

"What? You don't have a girlfriend?" Y/n asked, looking over at Shinso once again, her eyes meeting his as he turned towards her.

"No. Why are you surprised?" his face formed a light scowl, expecting the usual mocking he would get from people he didn't know.
It was probably his unapproachable demeanor or the fact that he would scare people just enough for them to antagonize him without any reason. Most kids ended up trying to bully him or make fun of him so that they felt like they were in control. So that was his automatic response, putting up walls and making himself even more unpleasant.

"Cause you're stupid cute" Y/n shrugged, gently placing the book she had been holding down and walking out of the room they were in to go find something to drink and some glasses for everyone.
Shinso's wide eyes followed her out of the room, feeling speechless for a moment.

"You think I'm... cute?" he asked after he managed to regain control of his vocal cords. However Y/n had already disappeared, not hearing a single word of his question.
Shinso was, to say the least, perplexed. He had never expect in his life to be called, out of all things, cute.
'Cute' was definitely the last thing that came to mind when he'd look himself in the mirror.
He hadn't heard many compliments thrown his way during his 18 years of life and none of them had been about him being 'cute'.

"Hey" Mina whispered, surprising Shinso out of his own thoughts. He leant over to Mina.

"You might have a shot" she winked, her voice being as soft as possible so the stunned Bakugo and the depressed Kaminari wouldn't hear.
Shinso shrugged, resuming his relaxed pose, his eyelids batting slowly.

"Does it look like I care?" he asked, dismissing the comment and going back to his notebook, trying to pretend that the conversation had never happened.

Shinso unlocked his front door, the dim moonlight illuminating his swaying hair, the soft pre-summer breeze gently caressing through it.

"Welcome home" his mother said, a small smile on her face as she grabbed her son's face and kissed his cheek.
He grunted in disgust as he quickly stepped away from her, making her laugh at his embarrassment.

"How did studying with your friends go?" she asked, resuming her position on the couch where she had been watching the news.

"It was... interesting" he replied, unsure as to how to describe it without having to go in to detail.

He left for his room, dropping his bag near his bed and swiftly pulling his shirt off. He moved over to the window, looking out at the moon and the very few stars around it visible to the naked eye.
The city lights made it impossible for him to enjoy the darkness.
He stretched his arms over his head, hearing the joints in his shoulder move in to place with a satisfying 'click'.
His mind wandered back to a few hours prior, the word 'cute' drifting back to the surface of his thoughts. He had dismissed it back then, but now, it was hard to shake away the small tug at the corner of his lips as he thought about the possibility of someone seeing him as cute.
Then, he thought about her reassuring Kaminari came to mind.

"Did she say that just to be nice?" he asked himself.

Now, he was doubting the sincerity behind that word, that one word that he had never heard before when the topic of the conversation was himself.
What if she was just being nice?
No scrap that, she definitely felt like one of those people that just wanted to avoid confrontation, she probably was nice to everyone, so her words probably were hollow. Hollow of any kind of sincerity.
His small smile dropped as he glared at himself in the reflection in the glass.

"How can I be so stupid, of course it's not true" he hissed.

He turned his back to the window, clenching his hands in to fists, shutting his eyes tight as he tried to eliminate all of the thoughts he had gone through during the day.

"None of this ever happened. I have no use for hollow words" he repeated to himself over and over again until he took in a deep breath, finally clearing his mind.

"Dinner is ready" called his mother from downstairs.

Shinso slowly relaxed the muscles in his hands, feeling them starting to cramp up, then left his room, making sure to close the door behind him.
