"You really think that I was doing this whole thing for money or some idiotic thing like keeping my identity secret? No, my dumb boys, these things don't matter to me. The only that matters is my entertainment, I know you won't believe me when I say that I only did this to bring a little joy in my life."
The trio was beyond shocked. They didn't know what to say or what to do.
"Fucking sadist." Jason whispered.
"Oh no, I'm not a sadist. I'm just an ordinary man looking for some fun." Raymond smiled.
"Ordinary people don't go about killing others just for fun, Raymond." Alex muttered darkly, not wanting to call him his father.
"Oh well, we all have our unique ways." Raymond shrugged.
"When are you planning to tell us your master plan?" Jason said, whimpering.
"Shut up, Jason or I'm gonna kill you myself." Michael shouted.
"That's my boy." Raymond smirked.
"And you," Michael looked towards him, "tell me why you did this and how. Now!"
The smile on Raymond's face slipped.
"I suppose you know most of the story already so I'll just tell you what no one knows. I always knew that Chris had a son. I was just waiting for him to come of age. That day when I saw him in the parking lot, I knew that my wait was over. Since I was really really bored, I decided to play." Raymond smiled again. A smile that lightened his eyes. A smiled that showed that he truly enjoyed doing what he did.
"You remember that guy, Thomas?" Michael's fists clenched the second he heard the name of his now dead friend.
"Why did you kill him?" Michael spat.
"Well his joining your school was not a coincidence, I was the one who sent him there. I thought that Jason was clever just like his father and would figure out that he was supposed to die but turns out, he's an idiot. Because of that I had to make another false attempt."
The trio was seething by now. They all had been a victim of a viscous game. Everything that happened was not accidental, it was planned. But they still couldn't digest it.
"To spice up the whole thing, I pulled some strings and got Misha out of jail. I knew he was still bitter about me killing the love of his life and will try to get revenge by using you both." Misha pointed towards Michael and Alex who were just standing there with blank faces. Trying to absorb all the information they were getting.
"You know it was pretty fun to watch Misha trying to bring me down. He was an idiot. Don't worry, I killed him as well, he's finally with the love of his life." Raymond added when he saw Michael was about to say something.
"Everything was going according to me. You were like pawns in my hands. The only thing that ruined my perfect plan was you." He pointed towards Michael.
"I tried to kill you but you were strong and survived." Pride shined in his eyes.
"You and that bitch, Elise. She was hell bent on ruining me and, I have to admit, she was pretty good at it but woman are only made for the pleasure of men. They aren't strong enough to handle real problems."
"Don't call her a bitch." Alex muttered but Raymond ignored him.
"Alex, my boy, you are the biggest fool I've seen. Your whole life I tried to make you cold-hearted and a little, sensible, but it was useless. You just don't understand that all these people, they don't matter. I can't count the times I wanted to kill you myself."
Alex felt his heart shattering. He placed a hand on the chair to support himself.
"Idiot." Raymond coughed.
"How can you be so sick?" Michael whispered.
"Michael ,my boy, you know all my plans changed because of you. I don't know if you know this or not but I loved your mother. Loved her more than anything. I even asked her to be my queen. But she didn't want it, so I killed her." Raymond tilted his head a little and smiled. A sad smile. A smile that showed that he cared. But he was sick, everything he did was terrible.
"I really did love her. The only murder I regretted doing. I've been carrying the guilt of her death my whole life."
Michael sighed. This man, who was willing to kill his friends without a second thought was in love with his mother.
"You know, Michael, I don't think Alexander is the rightful heir of my empire. But you, my boy, deserve this glory. You deserve everything I have to offer. So are you willing to join me?" He extended his hands towards Michael.
Michael's eyes widened. How could he even suggest such a thing?
"You are an idiot if you think that I'll join you. Just get done with it and kill us." Michael seethed.
Raymond laughed. "Exactly as I predicted. You know, your mother used the exact same words."
"I'm glad she did." Jason said, wincing a little at the end.
"Oh shut up. You are also like me. You killed your own mother." Raymond laughed.
"Don't you dare say shit like that." Jason shouted causing him to laugh some more.
"It's not shit. This is what actually happened. I told your father to come to me within fifteen minutes but he was exactly seven seconds late because his beloved son wouldn't let him go. So I killed 'em both." He said with a shrug.
"You motherfu-" Jason started.
"One more word and you're dead." Raymond said, taking a gun out of his back pocket.
"Do that and you'll be dead too." Alex said, his tone flat, arms steady, holding a gun, pointing towards Raymond.
"Oh wow! I never thought that you would be brave enough to point a gun at me." Raymond laughed. "Well at least I was able to corrupt one of you." He smiled looking towards Michael.
"I don't have anyth-"
Suddenly a loud crash was heard from somewhere above.
"The cops are here, Raymond. You'll have nowhere to run now." Jason said, holding his injured leg.
Raymond smirked.
"Who even wants to run from here?" He smirked and pressed the the gun to his neck.
"Fath-" Alex shouted.
BANG. BANG. BANG.
Three shots and the game was over. The mighty player fell to the ground with a thud, splattering blood everywhere. Michael's face and Alex's shirt was now covered in the blood. Their father's body lying in a pool of blood, right before their eyes.
They didn't leave that night unscathed, they were injured. They got scars and bloodstains that would never go away. The scars that would stay with them until the day they turned into ashes.
The End
*************
A/N
Hey peeps,
How are you all?
Whoa.
Raymond really didn't like things going out of his hand.
We are both happy and sad at the same time.
Happy because this journey has finally reached an end.
Sad because I'll miss our trio and the frustration that my co-author had to go through because of me.
Don't forget to comment and share and stay tuned for the epilogue (it's going to be soo weird ;)
