It had started raining unexpectedly and she was slowly getting soaked in water. It was five in the morning but he had only agreed to meet her at this early hour.
"I hate him! I hate him so much!" She kept repeating this as she almost ran towards the shelter near his school. There could be no one there this early in the morning so she didn't even think about hiding her identity or anything.

"Hello Abigail!" The man said in a cheery voice that made her want to kill him.
"Shut up!" She shouted and ran to stand next to him under the shelter.
"Wow girl. You've forgotten all your manners, I see." He said in a calm, collected voice.
"I'm here to end our deal. Here, keep your money and don't ever try to reach me again." She took out a pile of money from her bag and threw it in his face.

"You were at his house yesterday. Tell me the details and I won't need your services anymore." He stiffened and his voice wasn't as cheery as before.
"I don't want to tell you that. I don't need your money anymore! My brother is dead!" Abby shouted at him and was about to leave but froze when she heard his next words.
"You have to tell me or your dear boyfriend will know about this all in minutes. You don't have a clean record missy, I can ruin your social and love life in minutes."

"OR WHAT IF I TELL THE POLICE THAT YOU ARE INVOLVED IN THE MURDER OF MARISSA BLACK?" She yelled at him again and he flinched.

"What?" His shocked face didn't really look genuine, like he had expected something like this to come out of her mouth.
"Don't you what me! I saw the finger marks on her neck! Her funeral was in an emergency to hide the fact that it was a murder! I'm not a kid! I see everything and I know it!" She was on the verge of crying.
"And what makes you think that I'm responsible for this?" He had a sly smile on his face.
"You are always asking for details about Alexander's family so why the heck shouldn't I blame you for everything that is happening to all of us?" It had stopped raining now and Abby was slowly stepping out of the shelter.

"Abigail Louisa Anderson, you just gave me the best news ever, the confirmation that Marissa Black was murdered. You're free to go wherever you want to. And I'm telling you this, just in case it helps you sleep at night, I didn't kill anyone." He smiled at her and put his hands in his pockets to take out a cigarette box.

"I hope I never have to see you again!" Abby cried and ran back to God-knows-where.

The man lit a cigarette and his blue eyes lit up at the thought that had just crossed his mind.
"The game is over for you now." He laughed and took a deep puff of the cigarette.

As he stepped out of the shelter to get to his car, he heard some shuffling from behind. He kept on walking slowly and heard some more shuffling. There was someone there who had heard this conversation and was dumb enough to leave before he was out of sight.

Soon he sensed that the person was now standing and was ready to leave that place so he turned around.

Surprise.
Surprise.
Surprise.
Elise Woods again.

He smirked at the girl and saw all colour drain from her face.
"3... 2... 1..." He laughed and saw the girl run towards the school.
He didn't chase her, he didn't need to.

"Well I guess it's time for the climax." He laughed and got inside his car.

"Elise?" Jason spoke again, trying to shake Elise out of her trance.
"I think you should wash your face and drink some water. You don't look so good. We can talk about Abby later." He was concerned for her now.
"No, no, I'm fine. Abby, I saw her." She instantly straightened up.
"We see each other everyday?" He replied in the duh tone.

"Jason! It's serious, I saw her with him!" She looked miserable.
"With who?" He questioned.
"Jason, he saw me! He knew me! There's something really wrong with this."
"Who are you even talking about?" Jason was losing patience now.

"The man in the picture. The picture of you and your parents. The other man, it was him." She was panicking.
"Elise, you know you're NOT MAKING any sense!" He almost yelled at her.
"Jason, listen. I'm now calm and you should be too. This morning, I wanted to be here early and I heard a conversation of Abby and of that man. She was working with him." She saw Jason flinch at her words.

"Jason, come here." She grabbed his hand and dragged him to a bench. They both sat there and Elise started telling him about everything she had seen and heard.

"I know about you and Abby. I know you guys are serious and maybe you should consider it. She was doing that for her brother and I don't want you to end it all. We can ask her about that man and maybe we'll get a clue about people who are after you." She held his hand and felt that he was slightly shaking.

"Jason?" She asked again.

"Elise? Why did you tell me this?" He finally spoke after solid ten minutes of silence.
"I... I... I had to?" She was confused.

"Are you sure that it was Abby, my Abby?" He was no longer shaking and his voice was now cold.
"Yes, I'm sure that it was Abby." She replied.
"Ok." Saying this, he got up and left. She tried following him but he got into his car and drove to no-one-knows-where.

I think it'll rain again, she looked up at the clouds and thought to herself trying to keep all the bad thoughts out of her head.
