"I really don't want that in my house." Michael told Jason who was now hanging a wall tapestry.
"Like I care." He rolled his eyes and stayed busy with the unnecessary decorations he had brought with him to decorate the small place Michael's garage owner had rented him.
The place already looked cramped and too small and Jason's decorations were making it worse.

"Oh Jeez! What have you done Jason?" Elise opened the door and stared at the stuff lying on the ground.
"I'm just making this place pretty. You both are really boring." He got off the stool he was standing on and dusted his hands.
"Jason, take this one off and this too." Elise pointed at the weird pieces hanging from the ceiling but Jason didn't move.
"Alright, I'll do it myself." Jason tried to stop her but Michael didn't let him.
After taking off the unnecessary stuff, the place was looking much better.

The three of them sat at the table and Jason took out the soda cans he had brought for them.
"Michael?" Elise pulled Michael out of his trance and he looked confused for a second.
"The new residents have moved in there. In your old house. I was just passing by and the lady asked me for help. I'm glad I stopped cause I found something." She opened her bag and started looking for something. Even Jason was attentive now.
"There was this in the mailbox and it had your name." Elise handed him a brown envelope and waited for him to open it.

Michael stared at the envelope for a while and slowly opened it. One look at the envelope and he knew what was in there. But it was hard to believe.

He slowly pulled out a letter from the envelope and almost jumped.
"What is it? Give it to me!" Jason shouted.
"Wait! Let me read it completely first." Michael tried keeping him away from the letter.
"Jason! Sit back! Michael, read it out aloud." Elise suggested.

"Dear Michael Ryder, It is with great pleasure that I offer you to be a part of Stanford University class of 2021. Your thoughtful application and remarkable achievements ha-" Michael was interrupted by a loud shriek.

"OH MY GOD! That's so cool!" Jason jumped and hugged Michael.
"Let him finish, lover boy." Elise said, trying to control the huge smile threatening to break out.
"Just summarise the whole thing." Jason mumbled and sat down.

Michael took a minute and read the whole thing. He had a huge grin by the end of it all.

"They have called me for the Admit Week next month. I just need to fill the enrolment card. Also they say that if my grades slip now, they are gonna cancel my admission."

"Congratulations, Michael. Guess it's party time now!" Elise and Jason stood up and hugged him once again.

"You guys wait here for fifteen minutes. I'll get the party stuff and be back as soon as possible!" Jason grabbed his bag and ran out of the room, jumping with excitement.

"Well it's the two of us left again." Michael winked at Elise who, surprisingly, didn't roll her eyes this time.
"I'm glad it is like this. Have been wanting this for a while." Elise winked back.
"Ummm, something is different about you, today? Are you going to confess about your undying love for me?" He smirked at her.
"Maybe. Maybe not. Depends on you, if you'll be honest, I'll be too." She smirked back at him.

"I AM BACK BITCHES!" Jason slammed open the door and his jaw dropped when he saw the couple making out on the bed.
"What the hell guys! You should've at least locked the door!" Jason shouted.
"You should've at least knocked!" Michael reciprocated.
"Oh my God! You both! My ship has finally sailed! Oh my God! I love it! Yay!" Jason was jumping now.
"Dude, it's my happy day." Michael laughed.
"And mine too." Jason gave the two of them a hug and almost suffocated Elise.

"Jason, you really are a party pooper." Elise finally opened her mouth.
"And you're a cheating bitch cause you didn't tell me about you and Mikey." Jason stuck his tongue at her and she just rolled her eyes.

"I'm turning up the music guys. I've to make a video." Jason turned up the volume and turned it down as soon as he was done with his 15 seconds video.
"Jeez, Tobias would kill us if we keep on making this much noise." Elise said, it was 10 pm now.
"Yeah I guess I should go home now." Jason stood up and packed the decorations he had brought.
"Hey, Elise is going with you. Drop her home safely." Michael told Jason who was now almost done with his packing.
"Well, that's kinda sad." Jason replied.
"Why?" Elise was now standing, ready to leave.
"Nothing, I thought my best friend's best day would be followed by his best night." He sounded genuinely sad.
"Get out." Michael said in a serious tone but then laughed at it.

"Good Night."

After dropping Elise at her place, Jason checked his phone in the car.
There was a text message from Alex.
"Having a party at Mike's place?"
Jason texted back immediately.
"Yep, he got his acceptance letter and my ship has finally sailed dude. I saw them making out."
Alex was quick to reply.
"Wow, good for him."
Jason thought about teasing him a bit and texted.
"How was your day though? I wish you had showed up. The party was REALLY fun. Check out the pictures I just posted."
Jason was smiling at his phone like an idiot when he got the reply.
"It was fine. Good night xoxo."
Well, that was unexpected, Jason thought and sent him a good night text.

The day was almost over for him. Well not really. He would call Abby as soon as he gets home. It was now a ritual. They both talked every night on phone till one of them falls asleep.

Alex was scrolling through Jason's account, looking at their pictures. Things had changed pretty quick. All this bitterness he had inside of him and no one knew about it. His best friends never noticed it. Well now they do, cause he's taking it out on them.

Alex heard his parents shouting at each other and left his room to check on them. As he got closer he could clearly hear what they were arguing about and it made him really angry.

"She was right? Wasn't she? This is MICHAEL! The boy she was talking about!"
"Marissa, just shut up already!"
"Now you will love him more than Alex? Or you'll torture him like you tortured my baby?"
"Marissa, I swear if you won't shut up I'll do something everyone will regret."

"Mom! Dad!" Alex finally opened the door.
"Alex? Why are you not in your room?" Raymond was talking in the same angry tone.
"Cause you both are really loud. And why the hell are you both obsessed with Michael? For God's sake, he just stayed here for a few days and only met you once." Alex reciprocated his tone.
"Alex, go back to your room and don't you ever try to question us again." Raymond said and Alex slammed their room's door. It was already about thirty minutes past ten but he didn't care. He couldn't stand this house and it's people.

He got in his car and drove away to the outskirts of the town. He drove until he reached the woods. He parked his car at the side of the road and started walking. He walked until he reached the small pond. The moon was shining, making a brilliant reflection on the water surface. The stars, who had lost their beauty in the city lights, covered the midnight sky.

He laid down on the large rock, folding his hands beneath his head and started at the beauty surrounding him.

He, Jason and Michael had found this place in their early teens. The other two didn't give it much thought but Alex was amazed. He kept on coming here and not a single soul knew about it.

He didn't realise how fast the time passed and it was almost one in the morning now. He drove back home and found it quiet, a little quieter than usual.
I hope I get an escape soon, Alex thought as he got into his bed. Sleep came quick to him and he was finally at peace.

A/N
Hola people,
There wasn't much happening in this chapter but don't worry, things are going to be steamy pretty soon.

Jason sure knows how to rile up people but in his defence he didn't know about the storm brewing inside Alex.
