He was sitting in his room, completing the essay which was due tomorrow when Mr. Dixon entered the room. Mr. Dixon's eyes were red and his clothes wrinkled. This was actually the first time he had came out of his room since his wife's funeral.

"I need to talk to you son." His voice was raspy since it was probably the first time in weeks that he had opened his mouth. He coughed to clear his throat.
"Do you need anything?" Michael was worried for him. He hadn't been eating properly for weeks now and had bags under his eyes.
"No I just wanted to tell you something." Michael noticed that he was hesitating, something wasn't right.

"What is it?" He finally asked.
"I-I'm sorry, son, but I c-can't do this anymore." A tear ran down Mr. Dixon's eye and Michael looked at him helplessly.
"What are you trying to say?" This was concerning him more that he had ever admit.
"M-Michael I can't stay here anymore. Her memories, they are haunting me. I think I'll go insane if I stay here any longer." He was on the verge of breaking down.
Michael could now feel the sweat beads forming on his forehead.
"Does this mean?"
"Yes son. I'm sorry but I'm leaving." Mr. Dixon patted his back and stood up.
"So what time are we leaving?"

Mr. Dixon turned around to face him. His eyes were glistening with un-shed tears.
"Only I am leaving son."
"What about me then?" Michael couldn't really believe this. It felt as if his world was shaking and the confusion was making him really uncomfortable.
"You're eighteen now. I think you'll be able to manage." Saying this Mr. Dixon walked out only to stop once again. "Before I forget, the new family will shift in here by tomorrow so make sure you're gone by then."

Michael could feel his heart beating wildly. He could understand why Mr. Dixon was being like this but his brain was still not accepting it. He went to the bathroom and washed his face. He couldn't believe that he was now homeless. How will he manage to get a place so soon?

Alexander knew that something was very wrong when a distraught Michael called him. He at once rushed towards the local diner, knowing full well Michael must've gone there.

He wasn't surprised when he saw Jason sitting next to him but this didn't make him worry any less.

"What's wrong?" He asked, once he was in hearing range.
"I don't know man but I think his girlfriend dumped him." Jason said, not caring about the glare Michael was directing towards him.
Alex punched his shoulder and took a seat.
"Ow! What was that for?" Jason whined.
"Shut up." Alex turned away from Jason.
"You shut up." They started bickering like a 65-year old couple
"Why are you so annoying?"
"Why are you so ugly?"
"He-"

"Can't you guys be serious for a moment?" They both snapped their heads towards Michael who looked ready to explode any time now.
Jason gave a look to Alex and blew out a breath.
"Okay princess tell me what's wrong."
Michael stayed silent not knowing how to tell them that he was in a delirious state now.

"Come on man don't be like this. You know we're here for you." Alex said, trying to relax him.

"Mikey I'm dying here. Just tell me what happened." Jason sighed and put his head on the table. Suddenly he slammed his fist on table loudly and shouted, "Stop being a princess and spill it out."

Michael and Alex glared at him but he just grinned in response.

"Mr. Dixon left." He said quietly.
"Annnddd?" They both spoke in unison.
"And now I've got no place to stay."

There was a moment of silence among the trio when it was interrupted by Jason's scoff.
"That's it? And here I thought you had gotten Elise pregnant or something like that."

He was expecting a punch from Michael but was shocked when Alex hit him instead.

"This is abuse. I don't want to be your friend anymore. We are done now." Jason was about to stand up but one look from Mike and he sat down, gulping.

"You know you can stay with me. We both will gossip about boys at night, watch Barbie, and braid each other's hair."

Michael rolled his eyes but he was feeling a lot better now. Jason had the ability to change a person's mood in a few seconds and he was really good at it.

"I know you love him but Mike is going to stay with me." Alex said.
"What? No. He'll stay with me. You can't separate us, bitch."
"He'll become like you if he stay with you for that long."
"That's a good thing." Jason dead panned.
"I don't want another insane, good-for-nothing friend. He is staying with me."
"No h-"

"Guys I just don't want to be a burden on anyone of you. Just try finding me a cheap room." Michael finally spoke up when he had enough of them both.
"That's the dumbest thing you've ever said."
"Agreed."

"Look Mike you can stay at my house and as you already know there is usually no one there so no one will trouble you." Alex said in a stern voice.
"But-"
"No buts Mikey. You're staying with him no matter what. You'll probably be annoyed by my Ma's lectures." Jason laughed.

Michael looked at both of them and finally gave out a loud sigh.

"Okay but J, don't get jealous and say I'm cheating on you then." He said, smirking a little.
"Don't worry Mikey, I like to share." Jason winked at him.

Alexander just shook his head and stood up.
"Come on boy, we have some serious packing to do."

He knew it was finally him when the doorbell rang so he got up and opened the door. It had been a long time since they had seen each other.
"Evening, old man." The guest greeted.
He just grumbled in response.

"So why did you call me?" The guest looked around the house and saw a family picture. He felt a wave of all the good emotions he hadn't felt in a long time when he looked at the smiling faces in the picture.

"The boy-"
"So you know what happened to him?" He raised an eyebrow at this.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
The guest smiled in response. "Nothing, please continue."
He looked at him skeptically.
"The boy is asking questions about his father. It's not easy to silence him anymore."
"So what do you suggest?"

He rubbed his forehead. "I think we should tell him?"
The man laughed in response.
"Are you being serious right now? He already tried to kill the boy. Once he knows everything, he'll be as good as dead."
"What do you mean he tried to kill him?"

"You really are getting old. That shitty-excuse-for-a-human tried to kill your boy. That, too, in your own house and I'm more than sure that this wasn't his first try. Probably not his last either."

He was shocked. He didn't know what to do about the information he just received. He had always known that the boy will be in a risky situation as long as they are in this country but he didn't expect attacks on him so soon. He sat on the couch and ran his hands through his hair.

The guest walked towards the door but turned around and said, "Don't tell a thing to the boy. Double check everything you have of him and hide it. I've seen him and he's just like his father. A curious man who doesn't know when to stop."

Elise was sitting in the town's library, waiting for Jason who was supposed to be here twenty minutes ago.

"What was so important that you had to disturb my beauty sleep?"
She looked up to see a disheveled Jason. His hair was stuck in different directions and his clothes were wrinkled.

"The least you could've done was use some perfume." She said, scrunching her nose.
"Whatever." He rolled his eyes and sat beside her.

Elise pushed a file towards him.
"Your father's phone records." She explained when Jason looked at her quizzically.
"Oh."

Jason started to go through the file. He noticed a number that was highlighted by Elise in pink. The number was the most frequently called on his record.

"Now who is this? My mama?" He mumbled but Elise heard him.
"I looked it up and it belonged to a Clair Ryder." She said slowly.
"Maybe my father was cheating on my mother with her." He said, though he knew he was wrong. His father was deeply in love with her mother, that much his grandma had told him.

"She must know something, Jason." Elise was having a weird feeling about this Clair Ryder. She felt as if she was missing something really important.

"Should we try to call her?" Jason suggested.
He took out his phone and dialled the number but she shook her head.
"What?" Jason asked, annoyed.
"That woman disappeared too. Her phone has been inactive since the day your father disappeared." Elise sighed.

"Then she's as good as dead and we should leave now." Jason huffed in annoyance. He stood up and waited for Elise to gather her stuff.

The were about to leave when Jason said with a small smile, "You know what's crazy? Your boyfriend, Mike, is also a Ryder."
"So should we?" Elise asked, hesitantly.
"Shut up!" And he almost ran out of the library earning a glare from the librarian.

A/N
Bonjour people,
So it looks like Milex is back on track but for how long? *laughs evilly*

I wish my friends were as amazing as Jason but no, they are all little idiots who can't crack a good joke :(

Stay tuned for the next chapter. It will have some deep shit. Or maybe not. I don't trust my co-writer much.
