Merlin jumped in excitement when he kissed the most beautiful girl, backing away from the said girl, and stared at the sky. "It's such a good day to break a curse!" He sighed dreamily at the sky, "Now!" He instructed Red, and she opened her eyes.

Instead of the devilishly handsome human-formed Merlin in front of Red, he turned back into his dwarf form without knowing when she opened her eyes. "Ta-da! You just got Merlined! What do you think? Mission impossibly handsome, right?" He smirks at Red, but the girl laughs at him.

"Oh, it's okay. I know it's a lot to take in. But you can let your happiness flag fly! This, this is the real me." He said cockily to Red, and in her response, she laughed and said, "It's stupid."

The wizard looks confused as to why the girl is still laughing. There's nothing wrong with his face, is it? He then unconsciously raises his hands to think and sees his fingers are still those little green sausages. "What? Wait a minute." He panics as he touches his body all over. It's still the same cursed form. "My hands are still green. No! I look the same." He hollered as he looked at Red.

"Yes, impossibly handsome." She teased, mimicking Merlin earlier. Merlin then looked back at his hands, "This doesn't make sense. You're the most beautiful woman in the world. Why do I look the same?" His voice cracks.

Red raised her eyebrow, confused at him. "What are you talking about, Merlin?" The wizard ignored her, "Do I need a longer kiss? Two kisses? Let's try again." He faced the girl, asking her. The girl pushed a few strands of her hair aside, "Um... you're not making any sense."

A loud growl came from behind the trees. They turned around and saw a giant wooden monster. The monster got closer and raised its arm before they got crushed. You jumped in and kicked the arm away with much force.

'Reckless things I do for my friend.'

You landed in a superhero pose, "Run!" You shouted at them as you brought out your staff. They ran, and you sprinted, following them. "What is that?" Red asked you, "This kingdom has some serious monster problems." You just stated, giving her the cold shoulder and not looking at her as you did so. Red looked at you at your sudden odd behavior. You were never like that when you talked to her.

The three of you slide through a wooden log placed between the sides of the creek, and the monster puts its weight on the other end. You three went flying and landed but then began to slide on the slippery rock floor. You use your staff to slow the momentum. You slid down in between the rocks, "Are you alright?" Red asked the two of you. You simply nodded. "No. I'm not." He said as he winced in pain.

You carefully moved up from the trench, Red's back facing you. You grew quiet and looked emotionless ever since that kiss happened. Merlin reached out his hand to you, helping you get up. You looked at him with cold eyes and rejected his offer.

As you got up, you saw the same monster in front of you. You three ran away, the opposite from it but saw the same one coming your way. Merlin threw his activated talisman and zapped the monster's left leg, making it trip and stumble towards you.

'Stupid.'

You maneuvered to the side while Red followed with her hands on her head. You hit some projectiles coming unto you and Red. You escaped, and Merlin rejoiced, but that didn't last long when another one, this time in a maroon color, crushed down the trees in front of it. You grabbed Red's hand and led her away.

"What do they want, besides smashing us?" You hollered, feeling your legs giving up from all that running.

"I don't know!' Red panicked as you three kept running. You glanced at Merlin, feeling he would make up a plan now. You saw him glancing at the rocks on the cliff beside you. He used his talisman and zapped one of the rocks at the bottom. As a result, it made a dent. "The old me would've nailed that." He spoke and kept running.

You picked up a stone while running and stopped. You tossed the stone up and hit it with your staff, batting it and hitting it above Merlin's hit in one of the rocks. You quickly sprinted as the monsters were almost close to you. One of them at the back had massive rocks pouring onto it from the pile you and Merlin hit earlier and bringing him to the creek below.

Merlin saw the mishap of the monster as you caught up to him, "You just got Merlined!" He said as he playfully saluted while running backward. You couldn't help but roll your eyes.

'I'm the one who did that, stupid.'

Merlin screamed. You and Red Shoes looked back to see what he was crying about. A rock flying towards the three of you, you stopped as the rock fell and collided with the ground. It almost missed you three by an inch. You exhaled a breath of relief.

You then run around the other side. "Hurry!" You hollered, and they followed. The two monsters kept sending rocks your way, making you three slow down as you dodged. This makes it harder to go to a safe zone, the other side of the river.

"Red, close your eyes! You too, Y/N!" Merlin instructed the two girls to run. You gave him a confused look, "What?! Are you crazy?!" You retorted that if they stopped running, they would be crushed by the falling rocks or the monsters. "This is no time for kissing, Merlin," Red said to Merlin. She didn't know that the word kiss hurts your heart even more.

You unconsciously gripped your staff very hard; jealousy and anger are getting on your nerves. You would explode any moment now, and you didn't even notice this extreme feeling.

"Trust me. Close your eyes." Merlin looked behind your shoulder, a rock coming straight at you. "Please, close them," Merlin begged. You inhale deeply and close your eyes as you stop running.

'I trust you, Merlin.'

In an instant, Merlin transformed into his human form when both girls closed their eyes—moving to the front and electrocuting the rock, shattering it into pieces. "That was close," Merlin said in relief, and the two girls opened their eyes. You were going to look back, but Merlin grabbed your hand. "Don't look at me." He instructed, and you obeyed.

"You see that tree over there? On the other side of the bridge?" He asked both of you. "Yeah," Red answered, and you nodded after seeing the tree. "On my signal, run towards it as fast as possible." He instructed. You nodded by instinct, and you realized what he meant.

"No, I can't leave you here." You whispered to him, "You have to." Merlin whispered back. "And don't look back, okay? Look right at that tree until I say it's safe. Promise you won't look." Merlin said to both girls. "Okay, I promise," Red followed his instruction and locked eyes with the tree.
