Bryn Atkinson's POV

Ten minutes left. That was the approximate time we had left to reach our destination. And I was scared none the less, I could feel my heart beat quicken up. Instead of the city, we were now in a deserted area directly next to the woods. A road in between the woods and the prairie, a few abandoned buildings here and there.

"Oh my god," I said, horrified as my foot immediately went to the breaks. I immediately got out of the car. It was an abandoned warehouse, but I knew what I saw inside. I slowly opened the large door, hearing the squeak. And that's when I saw it, Aspen's spare car. I went to the navy blue Camaro, taking a look at the license plates to confirm my thoughts.

And that's when I saw it. 370H55V was his unique license plate, and this was no doubt my brother's car. I hadn't noticed Jared walking in until he began mumbling. And that's when I realized. There were at least hundreds of more vehicles inside, maybe more.

"They go back from 2008," Jared said, taking out things out of a random car, consisting of dates.

"But, they only found a few body's..." I said, horrified.

"Well, these are the ones that weren't found," Jared replied, shocked by the amount. One person is capable of murdering hundreds, without leaving a trace at all.

"We should stop here, park the car inside," I said, going outside to get the convertible.

"Agreed," Jared says, walking after me. We carefully place the convertible inside with the rest of the cars, near the exit for a quick escape.

"We should walk alongside the woods, in case we need to make a run for it," Jared suggested.

"You're right, anything to make everything easier," I said, getting out of the warehouse. Jared followed behind as we walked alongside the woods, but I felt like my legs had turned into jelly. My brain was telling me to back, but I wasn't having it.

"Is this it?" I asked, looking across the road at the abandoned two story building.

"Well, it's been minutes since we passed the house. It must be it." Jared said in confirmation.

"And look, there are buckets of water on the side of the house. Maybe somebody's been using it?" I said.

"Maybe," Jared mumbled, beginning to walk across the road.

"What the hell are you doing?!" I whispered at him while grabbing his forearm, trying not to yell.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm going in there." Jared replied.

"Jared, we don't- never mind. I'm the one going in. You're my back up, understood?" I said, yanking him back.

"But-"

"No buts Jared, understood?" I said, pointing my finger. Jared's eyes frowned downwards, his face told me he understood but his body said otherwise. "If I'm not out in half an hour, you do what you think is right. We don't know if the man is even here."

With those last words, I begin to cross the road. It was hard, difficult, but I did it nonetheless. I immediately went to the side of the house, trying to find an entrance. I had no luck, so I went to the back where I luckily found a window near the ground. I grunted as I carefully tried to get the old thing to open, which I successfully did. I slid inside, finding myself in an old basement.

There were old boxes, piled up together. I bumped into a few things here and there until I finally found a clear path around. I was about halfway through the basement when I saw a faint light. I slowed my pace down as I took cautious steps. I peeped through the corner of a box and gasped when I saw the horrific scene.

Aspen on an emergency stretcher. He was beaten up, covered in dirt with purple right underneath his eye. I ran towards him, placing my hand on the top of his head. He gasped, eyes wide as he tried to get away from me, unsuccessfully due to the fact that he was bound.

"Hey, hey. It's me." I whispered desperately. After a few seconds, the realization hit him in the face and he calmed down but started crying instead.

"I was so fucking scared, Bryn." He whispered while sobbing. "I bet you're not even real."

"No, I'm real, bud," I said, trying not to let tears leak. "What happened?"

"I-I was driving home after seeing Kacey. And this... The man needed a lift. So I let him in the car and he just bashed me in the face with something. I woke up and he started... Doing these horrible things to me, in here." Aspen said, horrified.

"Well, it's okay now. I'm going to get you out of here." I said, fumbling with the straps that were bounding him.

"I think not." A deathly voice said. I turned around, scared as I felt my heart beat faster. Standing there was a man, the same man that came by Eliazer's apartment. He had Eliazer with him, hands tied behind his back. The man kicked the back of Eliazer's knee, making him tumble forward on his knees. Eliazer kept his head down as the man's hand went around his neck.

I heard Aspen shaking violently at the sight. He started whimpering, and then I realized how much of a danger this man was. Aspen passed out, so I was on my own. Eliazer tried to get up, but the man violently pushed him back down.

"You know better." The man said, picking him back up and moving him next to a small pillar in the middle of the little area. I looked around hastily as he did so, desperately trying to find something to defend myself with. But by the time I turned around, the man was already standing a few feet away from me.

"Now. I think we have unfinished business to discuss."
