Eliazer King's POV

Watching Jared watch TV is a very interesting occupation. He just sits there in the dark watching the screen. He scratches his eyelid once in a while, mouth slightly parted. I personally don't like watching TV, I feel like there's nothing beneficial about it. I've lived my entire life relying on my mind, television would just make up thoughts in my head.

The only reason I actually have a TV is that Jared wanted one, I didn't want him to be bored at home. I got up from the kitchen chair, stretching, hearing and feeling the satisfying cracks on my back. At that moment, I heard the doorbell. I went to open the door, looking through the peephole seeing an amusing pair. I opened the door, letting in a frantic Thaine and an emotionless Bryn.

"Dude, some crazy shit happened. Through the entire fucking process, Bryn interrupted my dinner." He said, placing his McDonald's bag on the kitchen table.

"It was a life and death situation, the hell was I supposed to do?" Bryn said, furrowing her eyebrows.

"I don't know? Not jump in my car?" He replied, igniting an argument.

"Tell that that one more time, I swear, I'll pull your eyes out an-"

"Okay! I think we get the point, guys." Jared yelled, entering the kitchen. "You guys disrupted my show and now I can't enjoy it."

The entire kitchen went quiet, but the bad thing was that it turned into an awkward silence once I caught Bryn looking at me. Or she caught me looking at her? I'm not sure. Thaine, of course, picked up the sudden change in atmosphere.

"I brought her to the wrong place, didn't I?" He said, curling his lips inside. I didn't say anything, nor did Bryn. But Jared's look made Thaine realize everything.

"I told you, you should've gone with Yair." Thaine scolded as Bryn grimaced. An unknown feeling emitted in me. I knew what it was, but I felt like an idiot that I was feeling jealous. Thaine proceeded to grab Bryn's wrist, dragging her out the door. He came back moments later to hastily retrieve his McDonalds "dinner". Jared, on the other hand, patted my back.

What an awkward encounter.

Bryn Atkinson's POV

The school has been rather strange today. Walking through the hallways was difficult. People stared and murmured, pointing at me while I furrowed my eyebrows. I didn't know what was going on, I was confused. I went into class, taking me seat next to Eloy.

"What's going on?" I asked, nudging on his elbow.

"I-I don't know." He replied, looking down at his paper as he put his hand on his neck.

"Dude, stop lying. You're giving me the obvious signs." I murmured.

"Damn it! I need to stop doing that." He scolded himself, placing his twitching fingers above his thighs underneath the desk.

"Just tell me." I pleaded.

"I'm sorry but its none of my business!" He exclaimed, flustered by my constant asking.

"Fine. Don't tell me." I replied, looking at him. Eloy made a face, furrowed eyebrows before his eyes lit up in realization. "No Eloy, I'm not on my period."

"Right. I knew I had the schedule wrong." He mumbled to himself, finger on his chin in thought.

After that, we both hang out in class, paying attention like the normal students we were. Once that period was over, we were in the lunchroom waiting patiently for the food. My eyes scanned the room, making sure my friends were seated in our usual spot. But somebody else sitting there caught my attention. I got my lunch, walking over to the usual spot. I slammed my tray on the table, getting a smirking Kegan's attention.

"What's going on? Got something up your ass?" She snarkily said, interlacing her fingers as she placed her hands on the table.

"No, I'm just wondering why snot is on this table," I replied, giving her a sarcastic smile.

"Smooth, very smooth." She replied, running her thumb across her bottom lip. "Probably not as smooth as the King of Freak's lips, am I right?"

My mouth went agape and the lunchroom went quiet.

"Wh-what are you talking about?" I replied, my heart sinking in my stomach.

"Are you denying the fact that you kissed the King of Freaks?" She said loudly. "Because I do recall you saying that in the bathroom, rather loudly Ms.Atkinson."

I stood quiet, I didn't know what to say, nor I didn't know what to do.

"How could you do such a thing." She snarled. "Everybody knows that freaks are off limits, you're involved with a freak; you are a freak."

"Can you shut up!" I yelled out, flipping my tray. By now, the entire gang was here, and everyone in the lunchroom was staring. "I don't know what you're trying to do, but don't press my fucking buttons Kegan."

"Oh, believe me, it'll be worth it." She seethed. I let out a screech so loud, I myself thought I sounded crazy. I screamed at nothing or no one, in particular, I was just so angry. Gray and River came to my side, trying to calm me down, but I was so angry I pushed them away. I pushed my friends away.

I ran out the lunchroom, the doors slowly closing behind me. I was directly in front of the doors, but a glimpse of someone made me turn my head. Standing there was Eliazer, leaning on the lockers whilst playing with a lighter in his hand.

"So you didn't want to kiss the King of Freaks huh? I get it." He said, turning off the lights and finally facing me.

"What? No, I did want-"

"Save it, Bryn." He said, furrowing his eyebrows in anger while putting his lighter away. I felt like crying once I saw him walking away, running a hand through my hair. One of the worst experiences a person can go through was somebody they care about turning their backs on them.
