Bryn Atkinson's POV

Watching Eliazer was one of the most heart breaking things. He was crying, hastily picking up broken things from the floor. His breathing was ragged as he quickly started to fix things. This wasn't the room I was used to, nor the Eliazer I was used to. This was somebody going through something hard.

Somebody that was going through a mental breakdown.

"He can't see this! He gonna get angry." He sobbed to himself, his eyes puffy as he collected things in his arms. Eliazer kept on mumbling incoherent nonsense. I felt my heart sink, as he deeply reminded me of Charlie. I don't know why, but I slowly marched my way towards him.

"Hey." I soothed. The sudden contact of my hand on his shoulder made him drop everything. He quietly tried to pick up everything off the floor, letting out a few whimpers. I was shocked, confused, and worried. I didn't know what's going on.

I don't know what to do.

"He's gonna get angry, he's gonna get angry." He quietly mumbled to himself, over and over.

"Eliazer, Eliazer." I quietly said, grabbing on to his shoulders, making him stand straight. He murmured, whining while running a hand through his hair and down his face.

"No, no!" He yelled, backing away and into the corner of the wall. He slid down, facing me while putting his hands on his ear. It hurt me, seeing Eliazer look so vulnerable and defenseless. I put a hand over my mouth, tears wanting to leak out. I wanted to leave, leave everything, but I couldn't.

"Gabe, I want Gabe." Eliazer softly murmured. My head snapped towards him, memories filling my mind.

Gabe.

"Jared!" I called, looking towards the door. He immediately dashed inside the room, a pile of things in his arms. "He wants Gabe."

"Gabe. Gabe." Jared murmured to himself in thought. He dropped everything in his hands, his eyes searching throughout the entire room. His eyes settled on a stuffed bear that was on the floor, old and musty. He hastily picked it up, handing it to me, "Gabe."

So this was Gabe.

The bear was soft, a few areas crusty and such. A red bow went around its neck, giving it a positive glow. I looked at Eliazer, who was in the same position as he was before. I slowly neared him, the bear in hands. He wasn't looking at me, but once I showed him the bear, he smiled a bit whilst taking it in his hands.

"Let's clean this place up, Jared," I said, grabbing Eliazer's bicep. His eye lids were halfway closed as I slowly dipped him on the bed. He groaned, mumbling about how he was supposed to clean and etc. I shushed him, covering the bedding over him as he made himself comfortable. Afterward, Jared and I tried to make the room as clean as possible for Eliazer as he was snoozing.

"Okay, let's get out." I quietly whispered at Jared. He nodded, walking quietly out the door making sure to not let the wooden floor creak. I quietly shut the door behind me before turning around to face Jared. "Well, there's more of a mess here than there was in there."

Jared took a look around, "Well, at least I made it easier here." He replied. "And thanks by the way."

"For what?" I asked, letting out a snort.

Jared laughed, "For helping me with my brother." I unconsciously let out a small smile, realizing he calls Eliazer his brother. And Jared's right. The family doesn't have to be blood, it's about who's there for you when others aren't. That's what family is.

"No problem."

"Aspen, stop it. Rosco's gonna bite you for being an idiot." I scolded, looking at my brother.

"C'mon, Rosco loves me. He's not capable of doing that." Aspen replied, putting his finger on Rosco's nose. Rosco growled menacingly, and Aspen immediately back away. He slumped on to the couch beside me, "Or I guess I can... Leave him alone for a teensy bit."

I chuckled, laughing at my brother's foolishness. "So Bryn, I kinda want to ask something of you," Aspen said.

"Sure, what's up big bro," I asked him, oblivious to the fact that he was asking me seriously.

"Okay, I kinda like this girl. I meet her at a coffee shop, you know, the one by the little corner store? She's really nice, and I kept on going everyday because-well, I wanted to see her." Aspen said, blushing while rubbing the back of his neck. It was so adorable! Him being pale and all, it was pretty obvious he was into this girl. By now, I was intrigued by my brother's statements.

"Oh my god, what's my future sister-in-law's name?" I excitedly asked, gushing.

"Kacey, Kacey Bowman." He said, a shy smile covering his face. "She's pretty cute."

"So, what's the problem?" I asked.

"Well- her brother." He stated boldly. "He's a big ass, I don't think he'll let me date her."

"Who gives a shit about the brother, it's the parents I'm worried about," I replied.

"Well, you see, that's the problem. Her brother's basically the man of the house. Her dad passed away. So it's just her, the brother, and their mom." Aspen said with a grimace.

"Go for it," I said.

"Wait, what? I - I thought you would've said something like, "it's too risky" or somethin'." He replied, wide eyed.

"If you really want something Aspen, you'll do anything to get it."
