"Well, if it isn't the detective that's banging my sister," Rose chided as Wyatt walked in.

He ignored her and took a seat at the table opposite her. He opened his computer and then looked at Rose.

Nothing about her demeanor showed that she was cowered by being arrested. Instead, she looked as confident as ever, as though she was in her element, with a wide smile on her face.

"Rose, my name is Wyatt Long and I'm the – "

"I know who you are," she interrupted before he could finish.

"I've seen you leave my sister's apartment enough times."

So she had been keeping an eye on Cassidy. That was interesting and something to be filed for later questioning.

"Let's just get to it then. Why were you trying to kill you sister and her family tonight?"

Rose laughed sarcastically.

"I'm not answering any of your questions," she hissed, her smile dropping.

"I can keep you for as long as I want. You're going to answer my questions eventually," Wyatt pointed out.

"I'll only talk to one person," she reasoned.

He had a feeling he knew where this was going, but boy did he hope he was wrong. She wouldn't, would she? Not after everything that had happened tonight.

"Who?" he asked cautiously.

"My sister. I'll only talk to Cassidy," she said triumphantly, smiling broadly.

She knew. Rose knew that Cassidy wouldn't want to step foot in this room and talk to her. She was basically saying that there was no way Wyatt was going to find out anything from her.

"Cassidy is in the hospital."

"I only scratched her hand," Rose said nonchalantly. "She'll be out of there in a couple of hours. Until then, I'm not talking to anyone."

And with that, Rose leaned back in her chair and just stared at Wyatt. The look of determination in her eyes was something he had seen in Cassidy, so he knew she meant it. Rose wasn't going to be talking to any of them.

He groaned internally and left the room.

Chief and the two agents were waiting in the room next door. Wyatt spared another glance at Rose through the glass. She was still as he had left her, casually leaning back in her chair, a small smile playing on her lips as though she was enjoying this.

"What are you doing?" Agent Jones asked. "Get her talking."

"I think she just made it pretty clear that she doesn't want to talk to me," Wyatt stated frustrated.

He wanted Rose to talk more than anyone else. There were so many questions he needed answers for.

"Then get Cassidy Monte. Anything that will get her talking."

"You're joking? He has to be joking right?" Wyatt asked Chief incredulously.

Chief turned to Agent Jones.

"Surely you're not suggesting we place a civilian inside there to talk to her. A civilian that she just tried to kill might I add," Chief said, glancing at Jones.

Jones faced turned crimson.

"We need to get her talking and if that's with Miss Monte's presence, then so be it."

"Do we really need her to talk though? We caught her red handed," Wyatt argued.

"We caught her for this crime. We need her confession on all the others. There's almost nothing tying her to the other cases."

Wyatt held his tongue. As much as he hated to agree with Jones on anything, Jones was right. There wasn't any evidence that tied Rose to any of the other murders aside from the CCTV footages and that was circumstantial at best. They needed a confession if they were going to nail her for this.

"You're really suggesting we put Cassidy in there with her?" Wyatt asked again.

That wasn't an option to him. He didn't want to put Cassidy in any danger.

"Are you afraid your little girlfriend will get hurt?" Jones taunted.

"That's uncalled for," Chief stated.

"Please not like everyone hasn't seen them together. Even at the scene earlier, they came out holding hands. I don't know what kind of ship you're running here Chief, but detectives shouldn't be fraternizing with victims."

Wyatt balled his fists, but kept his words in check. He wasn't about to lose his shit at Jones right now. That wouldn't serve any purpose and was a waste of energy.

"Rose tried to kill Cassidy and her family just over four hours ago. I'm not sure Cassidy will want to step foot in the same room as her sister ever again," Wyatt reasoned.

"We won't know that until you ask her. Get her on the phone. No one goes in to see Rose without my permission. I'm going to update headquarters."

Jones left, with Field following close behind him. As soon as they were out of the room, Wyatt slammed his hands on the table.

"They can't be serious Chief. How can we put her in the same room as Rose?" Wyatt asked.

Chief looked at Rose, who was staring at the glass as though she could see through it.

"We need her to talk. There's a lot of things we don't know. If her talking to Cassidy gets us the answers, then we have to take a shot."

"But Cassidy-"

"It isn't your decision to make," Chief interrupted.

"I know you're quite close with her, but this is a decision Cassidy has to make herself. Make the call and ask her."

Wyatt ran his hands through his hair. Gosh it was so frustrating. He had to put Cassidy in the same room as the person who had just stabbed her parents and hurt her as well.

"Make the call Wyatt. That's the right thing to do," Chief added in a gentle tone.

Wyatt sighed and nodded.

"I'll make it."

Even though he didn't want to.

He walked out to the main entrance for a bit more privacy and quiet. How should he phrase what he was about to ask?

Rose said she won't talk to anyone but you. Could you come and talk to her and get her to confess?

It sounded reasonable enough, but would Cassidy agree was the question.

There was no way of knowing unless he made the call. He dialed her number and waited as the phone rang. There was no answer. He wasn't even sure she had her phone with her. Had she picked it up from the house as they were leaving?

Calling Adam seemed like the safer bet. He could find out about her parents' surgeries as well. It had been a little over four hours since the incident at the house.

They had brought Rose to the station where she was treated for her wound properly. They only did a basic bandage at the scene as it was just a scratch. Jones had wanted Rose at the station as fast as he could.

Yet when they had gotten here, he insisted that no one go in to talk to Rose but him. He and Field had been going at it with Rose for over an hour before he finally decided to give up as she wasn't talking to him. It wasn't until an hour after that he had let Wyatt get a crack at her. And that was only because Chief had insisted.

Wyatt just shook his head. Even he couldn't get Rose to talk. Cassidy was their best bet and he didn't like that option.

He dialed Adam and oddly enough he could hear Adam's ring tone. It was extremely memorable as it was some metal song by a band Adam was into.

Wyatt turned and saw Adam and Cassidy walking towards him from the parking lot.

"What are you doing here?" he asked surprised.

Her being here was not something he had expected. He thought she would have been in the hospital for at least a couple more hours.

Wyatt turned to Adam for an explanation. Adam should have called if he knew they were heading to the police station.

"She insisted I bring her and not to tell you," Adam said sheepishly.

"I know you wouldn't want me to come," Cassidy added.

She was in a different set of clothes. The other set had been splashed with blood from her wounds. He could see the huge bandage on her arm as well as the one on her neck.

"Are you okay?" he asked, choosing to focus on her health for the moment and nothing else. "Did the doctor check you out?"

"I'm fine. Just the laceration on my arm that they've stitched up. My neck was a small scratch, so they just cleaned the wound and bandaged it."

"What about your parents? Have the surgeries finished?"

"Almost. The doctors assured me that the stabs missed any vital organs or arteries. They both lost a lot of blood, but should be fine. They were finishing up the surgeries when I left."

"And Seth?" Wyatt asked, noticing his absence.

"He's with an aunt. She met us at the hospital and said she'll watch over him for me."

"What are you doing here? You should be getting some rest. You don't look so great."

Her hair was tied in a messy bun and her skin was pale.

"Has she said anything?"

Wyatt hesitated. He knew Cassidy was their best bet at getting Rose to talk, but he also didn't want to put her in that situation – where she had to face the sister who had just harmed her and her family.

"She hasn't. She's refused to talk."

"Why?"

There was no avoiding this conversation now.

"Because she wants to talk to you," he answered.
