Just a small reminder : Unibella is the leader of the Tribes of Elise. She has a horn of silver and is magical ;)

Unibella was seated in her cabin alone. It was the middle of the night and the fire was out. Rain was pouring outside, the wind was howling and the lightning illuminated the branches of trees.

Unibella was humming to herself, or so it may appear to an onlooker. It was the anniversary of her son's death tonight, and she kept vigil, her body was aglow, the words of her song seemed to weave around her in blankets of comfort.

Unibella was truly beautiful, she had pale skin, a slender body that was strong as it was weak, her hair was the lightest pink and seemed to sparkle with the dust of purple and blue diamonds. Her eyes were a pale teal and her horn was a pale gold... or silver; the color would change from time to time.

She was older than her looks betrayed however, she held many years on this earth, her eternal youth was but a facade. A reminder that she had not done her job; and a note that she was failing it.

Unibella was, by all accounts uncredible, an angelic god-send; by her own words she was simply a woman gifted with the power to save others and, as such, held the duty to do so.

Unibella was born somewhere and somehow, no one knew exactly how she came to be. Her foster mother and father had always said that they had gotten her as a gift. And maybe it was true, but if so, a gift from whom?

Her chest heaved suddenly with a sigh. Unibella had a son, her son was the joy of her life, he was beautiful. Then, the Anex took him in the same day that they had killed her parents. Her heart tore, for it went against her to feel anger, she never did feel anger. But she felt it then, anger was painful. It was like a fire that she fed within her, it gave her purpose, but at the same time it blinded her. It made her feel the urge to destroy and hurt things, and that in itself, terrified her.

So she pushed it away. And she created instead of destroyed, she created a sanctuary. And within it she helped and healed things rather than to hurt them. Her people were the leftovers of dozens of tribes. The most recent being of her neighboring tribe of the Naut. Barely ten people survived the massacre. A tribe of hundreds. Reduced to nothing. One of her many joys from the tribe, were the twins of Arthizar and his first wife Pearl; Sherlie and Richard. They were perhaps the most cheerful and comedic children in Elise. They seemed immune to horror, and immune to sadness. Whatever was unsure though, there remained one certainty; they were immune to any forms of discipline.

Day came finally, and with it the sounds of normal village life. In fact, things were so normal in the Elise that the threat of Anex could be ignored, or seldom acknowledged in the very least. For Asarya it was nothing of his knowledge. And remained so for the next two years.

Asarya was now seven years old, his skin was still as dark as ever, and was a painful but proud reminder to Azlan of his mother. His eyes held the same glee and sparkle that was in his Nalah's green eyes, but they were not tainted with any image of death. All Asarya knew was fun, love, and happiness. His parents could not bring themselves to speak of the true terrors of the world to their only son.

This was why he was currently upset at his parents when they refused to let him go exploring with Sherlie and Richard alone.

"Mom I promise we'll be back by the end of high-sun!" Asarya whined in a high voice.

"My answer is no love. When your father comes back from working in the fields he will take you kids to ride in the pasture."

"Uhhggg!" Asarya walked outside to their mud hut and sat on the bale of straw with his friends who looked partly sour at the obvious answer from his mom, but then partly mischievous.

"Hey Asarya?" Sherlie rang in her sing-song voice, "I have an idea..." Asarya looked over to his friend. Sherlie was tall, lanky, and had long red hair. She had a face full of freckles and a wide smile with large white teeth. Her skin was tan and spotted all over with the same freckles that were on her face. Her brother however, was very different.

Dark hair and dark skin were complimented with a wide smile like his sister's and hazel eyes like his father's. The boy was shorter slightly than his sister, but it was clear he was gaining on her.

"What's the idea?" Asarya asked in a monotone, he didn't think it would be much more fun than to play out of the village.

Shirlie grinned and said, "Me and Richard went exploring once nearby and we found a cool cave! Mother called us so we didn't get to explore it fully... but it looked super cool!"

Asarya brightened almost immediately, "That sound fun! Let's go!"

The three kids ran off in the direction of the cave. Upon arriving they were greeted with a great, red, stone. The cave was a hole dug beneath sand and dirt and rock. There was an olive tree hanging near the entrance and shielding the hole from the sun's hot rays.

The children were silent upon entering the dark cavern. Richard brought a torch for the soul purpose of exploration of the dark passageways, but even in the comforting glow of the fire, there remained a particularly ominous feeling in the air. The walls were tight together and the ceiling low. The first tunnel was steadily going downwards and the temperature was dropping as well.

"Do you think it'll go much lower?" Asarya asked worried.

"No." Sherlie said. Her answer was so brief, it took a moment to register from the echoes of the walls.

Suddenly the fall of the tunnel had stopped and before them was a small hole in an otherwise solid, clay wall. There was a torch at the front which Richard lit, both flames making illuminating shadows dance on the skins of the children.

They entered the room with a feeling of fear, and excitement. Those feelings quickly morphed into a numb absorption of the room.

It was circular, patted with old clay, wide and open; empty except for the pottery that sat ominously around. Wide eyes grazed the walls of the room in surprise and wonder.

Red paint was clearly painted onto the wall. Depicting for sure, a story.

"Light all the torches..." Sherlie whispered to her brother. He complied and they were greeted to a story.

A family of five lived alone in a meadow. There were two brothers and one sister. The youngest of the family and the only daughter, she was strangely weak and frail. Her brothers did everything they could to protect her. One day, a long time later when their parents were long gone, they were sitting on opposite sides of a river. The girl was making a basket and the boys were attempting to catch fish to place in the basket. Suddenly, the earth began to shake. Trees began to fall and the earth shifted its ground.

The sister and her brothers were separated. A canyon was formed, so large and growing still. The brothers were powerless to save their sister, and as they watched the canyon filled with molten rock and fire; and pushed their ever fading sister even further.

Time passed. The brothers were married and had children of their own, but there was a shift between them, they began to loathe each other, each blaming the other for the loss of their sister. The hatred grew even as they passed, their children hating each other and then their descendants. One of the brothers lines decided to split themselves into many families, hoping that by this way they would always have someone somewhere to turn to if they separated amongst themselves. The other brother's line decided the opposite, they formed a single tribe and formed laws to make sure everyone got along. That brother's lineage became the Kingdom of the Anex, the other brother's lineage formed the Tribes. With the hate between them stronger than ever, the two lineages forgot why they were angry at each other and they forgot of their sister far away and gone.

"They made her really ugly you noticed?" Sherlie said loudly after the three kids finished the circular story. Asarya laughed and began to snort in his amusement. "Well, we can't all share my genetics can we?" Richard said smartly, his sister hummed and said, "We have the same genetics genius."

"I said 'all'" Richard retorted. Asarya ignored their bickering and said, "did you guys understand this?" The twins shook their heads at the same time. "Do you think we should tell our parents about the cave?" The twins shrugged again together. Asarya huffed in frustration. But the good news was that he didn't have to decide their next move.

It was decided for them.

"WHERE WERE YOU KIDS!" Azlan and Arthizar along with their wives bust into the circular room in a panic. Their arms quickly found their children and hugged them. Nalah falling to her knees while she embraced her son. "You have no idea of how much we worried!" She sobbed. And then noticing the fear on her son's face hurriedly wiped her tears. "Why... where is this?"

Azlan was quick to give his son a cuff on the head and said, "do not disobey your mother's orders again Asarya." Then he hugged his son, almost in an apology. Arthizar tapped Azlan on the shoulder and the warrior stood up again. "What?"

"Look at the walls."

"The...story... I..." Pearl said haltingly.

Understanding dawned on the adults within seconds of reading the story on the walls. Seeing the red, faded paint suddenly draw their life into perspective.

"We... We were brothers?" Azlan whispered, his hand on the Anex brother screaming with his Tribes brother as the sister was taken.

"Where is our sister then?" Nalah asked quietly.

So. *grabs a cup of coffee and gestures for readers to sit and enjoy a cup too* This I hope, was a revealing chapter, feel free to let all your theories fall out... I have a mighty surprise for you soon I hope ;)

*takes off glasses and absently wipes them clean* I do hope you enjoy the twins... They are a small favorite of mine, only problem is I haven't found much screen time for them *glances at watch sadly* I know it took me a bit longer than I had hoped but the story took me about five tries. *cracks fingers* I wrote it out several times before being satisfied with the tale. Hopefully you guys like it too, if it seems unclear please ask and I'll do my best to explain.

If you didn't realize, the sister is the ancestor to the Ranine people. *smiles and folds hands together* well, I suppose that would conclude my general overview.

*glances at empty coffee cup sadly* I can not drink my coffee without milk... and I must have at least 1 and a 1/2 spoons of sugar, and steamy hot... how do you like your coffee?

"The Willow Maid" is a nice song btw.

also. I kinda realized that dog farts are really smelly. (my dog just farted)
