"here." atsumu handed you his dry jacket. "just do whatever your comfortable with."

he went to go get his clothes and left you to change. you took off your shirt and pulled on his jacket, zipping it up.

you uniform skirt was still wet and you couldn't do anything about that. atsumu came back with his dress shirt on, the top couple buttons were open. he was looking down at his belt, buckling it up.

"my shoes are wet." you said and looked down at them.

"get on." you looked up and saw atsumu's back facing towards you.

you didn't think about it for a second before getting on his back. "you're so nice now." you said and pinched his cheek.

"i didn't wanna hear you complain the whole walk because your shoes were wet."

"wait, can i take my shoes off?" you asked. "it's uncomfortable."

he let you back down and you took your shoes and socks off. you tied your shirt around the shoes, making a makeshift carrier and picked up both yours and atsumu's backpack.

"ready?" he asked and leaned back down. you held all three things and got onto his back.

he walked out of the forest, following the trail and back onto the open streets.

"i still hate you." you said.

"why?" he turned his head to the side and side glanced at you.

"you're still in the negative numbers because the way you asked me out. throwing me into the water, not once, but twice."

"it was worth it." he said and crossed the street.

"but then, the mall trip did give you a few more positive points."

"yay me." he cheered for himself, making a little smile grow on your lips.

"and i don't know if being best friends with my grandma is good or bad." you admitted. "it kind of scares me."

"you should be glad." he said and fixed your position on his back, moving his hand a little. "your boyfriend and your grandma, best friends."

"fake boyfriend." you fixed and used one hand to carry all three bags. the other moved up and brushed his damp hair away from his face.

"but you gotta admit it, you don't hate me anymore." he said.

"no, i think i do."

"i don't think so. you wouldn't be on my back if you hated me."

"i don't have to walk. why would i ever turn that down?"

"lazy ass." he murmured and flicked his head to the side, making droplets of water fall onto your face.

you pushed his hair back again and patted his head, hoping it would stay in place.

then it fell again

"your hair is more annoying than you right now." you ran your hands through his hair and straightened it out, feeling the dampness between your fingers.

he tensed up at first, but then turned to look at you. "don't insult the hair."

"i'm insulting it."

"of course you are." he said and boosted you up his back.

"why is it that color? at least osamu's is a pretty color."

"at least men isn't grey like his, makes his hair looks like an old man's." he fought back.

"you can't talk."

"down." you looked to the right and noticed you were already home. "actually hold on." he opened the gate and walked up to the porch, dropping you off there instead.

"thanks." you handed him his backpack and opened the door to the house.

"you're welcome. say hi to your grandma for me!" he started walking off.

you walked inside the house and your grandma was waiting by the doorway to the kitchen. "was he carrying you?"

"yes."

"why?"

"he dragged me into the pond."

"that's romantic."

"thats romantic..?" you asked slowly. "sounds like a way to get an early death for me."

"it's sweet and he even lent you his jacket." you looked down and realized you still had it on.

"speaking of which, i'm gonna take a shower now." you said and made your way to the bathroom.

when you got your clothes and everything, you unzipped the jacket and threw it into the laundry basket.

is he gonna be getting that back?

no.

when you were out of the shower you noticed a text on your phone.

atsumu: i want my jacket back

y/n: no

atsumu: fine, i'll pull another huge stunt and confess my love to you in front of the school

y/n: you wouldnt

atsumu: i will

y/n: i'll give it to you tomorrow

atsumu: i want it today

y/n: it's seven, i wanna stay in my room

atsumu: already buying the flowers for tomorrow..

y/n: okay okay

y/n: i'll be there in five minutes

y/n: actually ten

atsumu: yay

you shut off your phone and grabbed his jacket. "i'm going over to the miya's house!" you told your grandma and she stopped you.

"oh, bring this over for their mother." she said and handed you a container. "it's cookie's, she came over and we had a nice conversation the other day and helped me plant my flowers."

"see you later." you went out the door with atsumu's jacket on and the container in your hands.

"fancy seeing you here, sunshine." atsumu greeted when he opened the door. he leaned against the doorway with his arms crossed.

"this is for your mom and here's your stupid jacket." you gave them both to him and turned around, about to walk away.

"my mom wants to meet you." he said and opened the container, taking a cookie for himself.

"does she know about us?"

"nope." he grabbed your hand and pulled you into the house. osamu came down the stairs and also took a cookie from the container.

"hey." he said to you and took a bite out of the cookie.

"hi."

"oh so he gets a hi and i don't?" atsumu said and hung his jacket up on the hook.

"i currently like him better than you." you said and leaned against the back of the couch. "i feel betrayed."

"was that y/n?" the three of you looked to the left and saw a woman walk downstairs.

"yup." atsumu tugged you closer to him and slid the container onto the counter while osamu shoved the rest of the cookie into his mouth.

"it's lovely to meet you." she said, walking over to you. "every time i came over your grandma said you weren't home. atsumu tal-"

"she bought over cookies!" atsumu interrupted and grabbed the tin back.

"how'd you know they were cookies?" you asked and atsumu threw a glance down at you.

"she told me when she came here." atsumu said and his mom looked over at you. you shook your head and she looked back at him.

then at osamu

"are those cookies?" you were guessing that was atsumu's dad. he reached over his wife's shoulder and took a cookie.

"i live with cookie stealers."
