I told mom where I was going and she said she'd call me in the evening. I wanted to spent the night at Lila's, since her parents aren't here. The last sleepover we had was in elementary school, it was time to have another one. We were currently on our way to Lila's. After she left, Chandler told me he was going to get his swimming trunks and I had time to prepare my bag.

"Chandler?" I asked him and he turned the volume of the radio down.
"Yes, Allie?" He asked, glancing at me.
"Can I ask you something. And promise me not to get mad?" I hesitated. I wanted to know what happened to his mother.

"Is it a question about my parents?" He asked and I bit my lip before nodding.
"Allie-"
"You asked me about my dad too." I reasoned and he sighed, before tightening his grip on the steering wheel.
"Ask." He ordered.

"What happened to your mother?" I asked softly and he closed his eyes for a second and stopped the car. I gulped when he turned to me.
"She's dead." He said and I wasn't really satisfied, since I already figured that much.

"Yes, but what happened?" I pushed and he sighed.
"She died while giving birth to me. I never knew her. I only have pictures of her." He said and I felt my heart drop. Poor Chandler.

"Don't you dare." His words made me blink.
"What?" I asked with a frown.
"Don't pity me. You have the same look in your eyes when I told you about the cliff. At that time, I didn't bother saying it. But now I do. Don't pity me, I don't want it." He said and groaned when I didn't stop looking at him the way I was.

I reached over and hugged his neck. His breath hitched and it took him a few seconds before he hugged me back. It was an awkward hug, since we were in the car but I needed it. I'm sure he didn't, but I did.

I remembered the time he followed me in the mall and I thought he was going to kill me on my pop's birthday, I thought about how horrible that must be. To loose a loved one on your birthday. And Chandler did.

"It's fine, Allie. I did kill my mother after all." He said and I scoffed, before pulling back.
"No, you didn't." I said and Chandler looked at me with wide eyes.
"Calm down-"
"No Chandler, seriously. Don't ever say that again." I said when I settled back down in my seat.

"Okay." He blinked.
"You wanna start driving soon? because we're probably already late." I said and sighed. The fact that he said that was bothering me a lot. Nobody should live like that.

He started the engine again and we drove a few more minutes before Lila's house appeared. I saw Mike's truck in the driveway and suddenly became nervous. I hope they all accept each other. Chandler parked the car in front of her house and we got out.

"Let me take that." He pointed at my bag and I gave it to him. It wasn't heavy, so I would've been okay with carrying it.
"Thanks." I said and he just nodded.

Before we even reached the door, it swung open and Mike got out. He was talking to Danny while not even noticing us.
"No, it's in my truck, I got it." He said and when Danny widened his eyes, Mike turned to look at us and his mouth dropped.

Before I could even open my mouth, both boys started running. I laughed out loud at Chandler's confused look. They probably think I told him about their dare.
"Wait!" We heard Danny say and soon he ran back to the front door.

"I didn't even do anything." He said, panting as he approached us.
"Hey, I'm Danny. You must've heard about me. I'm the hot friend." He stuck out his hand and Chandler took it hesitantly.
"I'm Chandler." He answered and I smiled when they started making conversation.

We eventually met Lila in the basement, where her indoor pool was. Mike was nowhere to be seen. We greeted each other and settled down to talk, before we would take a swim.
"Where's Mike?" She asked after a while and all three of us laughed.

"He's hiding." Danny snorted and Lila shot him a confused look.
"Because he thinks I told Chandler that it was all his idea." I told her and she made an o shape with her mouth.
"What?" Chandler asked.

"Oh, I didn't tell you that?" I asked, not really thinking it was a big deal.
"Tell me what?" He asked.
"Should I?" I smirked at Danny and he grinned back.
"Go for it, sis." He answered.

"Well it was Mike who dared me to pour a cocktail over your head." I shrugged and we all looked at him expectantly. His eyes were focused on me, though.
"A dare?" He asked perplexed and we all nodded. He clenched his jaw and looked away, before standing up.

"Where's the bathroom?" He asked Lila and she pointed to the stairs.
"Upstairs, first door to your right." She answered and he nodded before walking away. Odd. Was he really that upset at Mike?

"I like him. He's nothing like the rumors tell you." Lila said and I nodded.
"He's okay. I'm still the hottest one in the group." Danny joked and I laughed. I was glad he liked him. But I felt like I needed to see if Chandler was okay.

"I need to powder my nose." I said, before standing up and walking upstairs, where Chandler was supposed to be. I panicked when I saw him stand there with Mike. But he didn't look upset at all. They were simply talking and when I approached them, I heard what they were talking about.

"And you really never raced with that car?" I rolled my eyes at Mike's question. Always talking about cars. Chandler shook his head and looked at me. Mike seemed to get it as he excused himself and hugged me before walking downstairs.

"Are you okay? You seemed upset down there." I said and he just shrugged.
"You didn't tell me it was a dare." He said as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"I didn't want to throw Mike under the bus." I said and he nodded slowly.

"Everything was his idea? The kiss too?" He asked and I felt my heartbeat quicken. What should I say? I don't want to explain why I kissed him, because I thought he was hot. Even my drunk self could see that. So I nodded.

"Yup."
