A/N: Happy New Year everyone!

Also just like in the previous one, this is not connected to the main story.

New Year... oh, how you've dreamed of spending it with your well-awaited forever-family.

It always caught your attention that on that day, when the sky would lit up with brightly colored explosions and days later some workers that left for the new year, would come back from their trip and tell everyone how much fun they had.

So to you, the day was well awaited. To spend the night with fireworks and games having fun with everyone, oh what a dream it is!

But of course, expectations don't always come as expected...

"You're going to a party?" You mutter in disappointment as the two adults apologetically smiled down at you.

You see before they adopted you that was now almost 3 months ago, your parents, in advance, planned to join an adult party with their old friends and since Katsuki was old enough to take care of himself they didn't have to worry about leaving him alone but now you are here and they couldn't back out now after months of planning.

This made you upset because you've been excited for the New Year's eve for days, ready to celebrate another party right after the fun Christmas that would start a new year as an entire family.

How late you are to many things. You feel so jealous.

"Katsuki, the food is already on the table so help yourself. Don't cause any trouble while we're gone." Mitsuki says to your brother who laid on the couch bored looking at new year special programs and scheduled movies.

"Yeah, whatever..." he groaned continuing to flip through channels for something interesting.

You sighed and looked at your brother with a deadpanned look, your parents quickly bid goodbye and shut the door leaving you with your explosive brother who, with only his looks, made a clear message he has no plans on celebrating new year tonight.

You stayed awake in the living room watching whatever Katsuki switched on just to kill your boredom.

You don't feel like sleeping and Katsuki won't do anything with you, so the night wasn't really in your favor. Out on the distance, the fireworks already started and the sounds of cheers and laughter were heard echoing in the night. By now Katsuki was grumbling under his breath as he attempted to sleep through the noise.

"Gosh, it's fucking noisy outside..."

"Of course, everyone is celebrating New Year..." you retorted making him growl and picked himself off the couch then left the living room. Once his figure was out of sight you slumped into the table, even more, sighing in sadness as you stared at the laughing people outside and the exploding fireworks in the dark space above.

"I was really hoping for a great New Year Eve..." you mutter to yourself feeling neglected and sad.

You were sad that your parents weren't able to celebrate with you, you're even sadder that you won't be celebrating it at all. "Because I had no family to celebrate it with before, I was really looking forward to this one..."

You sniffed wiping away the tears that formed at the corner of your eyes.

Jealousy formed in your stomach as you watched the people outside, dressed in beautiful clothing, laugh and cheer while holding sparklers, just running around and having a great time, while you sat in your living room with nothing but the Tv on.

Having enough you turned off the Tv and slowly head to your room to sleep it all out.

Looking back at the clock it was close to midnight just a few minutes left, but you knew you weren't going to have the pleasure of even participate in the event cause you had no one to celebrate it with.

One last glance was given at your brother's room before your door was shut.

Unknown to you Katsuki was in the kitchen having a clear view of you he heard everything you uttered and said nothing but watch as you wiped your tears away before walking up the stairs in a depressed manner.

Part of him felt guilty for not even trying to give you a chance to experience your first New Year as siblings but didn't dwell in it as he sat back on the couch ready to turn on the Tv.

"Big brother I can't wait for New Year!" He remembered hearing you say to him.

"The Fireworks and the food! We are going to have a great time!" You once said with so much enthusiasm, but now the light from your eyes dulled a bit with depression and the dissatisfied feeling of just watching your form head upstairs in a sluggish manner tugged a string in him.

"The heck am I sulking about? The brat is just throwing a tantrum, they will get over it." Katsuki told himself but he knew that you will continue to be down unless he does something about it, but what is there to do?

There's basically nothing to do and without his parents, the boy is clueless on what to think of for entertainment.

It was almost midnight so he had to think fast but he couldn't think of anything.

That was until Katsuki formed an idea in his brain and he hoped to himself it would work.

[To you]

You sigh again tossing and turning in your bed.

You couldn't sleep with the noise outside and it was no help knowing you wanted to be part of it too.

Your mind was about to finally give up and sleep until you heard some popping sound coming from directly outside your window. Light peeped in your room in groups of flashes making you curious and since the loud sound caught your attention, the idea of sleeping wwas thrown out the window.

Out of curiosity, you opened your window to check what was happening and your eyes widen when you realized that it was your brother looking over to you with a smirk.

His one hand emitted small explosions while he held some sticks, that were identified as sparklers, in the other.

"You coming down or what?" He taunted at you waving the sticks teasingly.

"Cause we have a bunch of explosives to set off."

Hearing his invitation, a bright smile appeared on your lips, the light in your eyes came back to life and the excitement flowed through your veins making you dash outside to your brother, both of you wearing jackets and gloves.

"Are you sure we don't need to set you off big brother?" You teased making his smirk turn into an ugly scowl.

"Don't push it.." he growled, in return you laughed with delight not really threatened by his glare.

With amusement he shook his head and ruffled your hair earning a cute whine from you, that night was the beginning of a new year and with that comes a new resolution.

'From now on your stuck with me, and I'm making sure I will do a fucking good job at taking care of your bratty ass...'

And that night.... you two panicked when you accidentally charred the fence and the neighbors had an extra set of unlimited fireworks till the break of dawn. Though in the end, you pissed your brother off with playful teasing which leads you to be a target for his 'fireworks'.

What a dangerous first New Year Eve you had with the boy, wonder what's waiting for you at the next...
