"I'm back~~~ Did ya miss me." (f/n) came in (broke) the door.

"not at all" Karma bluntly states, dropping an imaginary washbin on top of her head.

She then commercially cried while looking out the window. "Oh... uh, whoever's listening out there... woe is me, not even my own flesh and blood missed my radiant existence. And after I worked so hard to get back here." She said all dramatically. Someone get this girl an Oscar.

"Seriously Karma, you made her cry" Ritsu joins her with tears in her eyes. "How cruel"

They added more fuel by winking at each other, making Karma more pissed.

"not cool man" Terasaka also decided to play along.

"As if you have any room to talk" Karma retorted.

"Now now, class. (f/n) welcome back," (f/n) smiled and went back to her old seat, her classmates followed suit.

Korosensei bursts into the room and while speaking to the class, he simultaneously fixed the broken door. "The second midterm is just two weeks away! The time has come at last to surpass the Class-A!"

His clones fill up the classroom each with a headband indicating specific subjects. "I want you all a 1000% ready for this exam."

(f/n) tried to sneak out of the classroom to avoid the workload, but to no one surprise was caught before moving an inch.

"(f/n) you need to work on your Japanese, here are all the light novels that I, personally recommend." He dumped piles of classics and must-reads novels and in the center; a dictionary. "And don't even think about finding the English versions of these."

(f/n) sweatdropped.

(F/n) pov

Like how I spend most of my spare time, I was buried under mountains of books in the main campus library. I needed a break for all the Japanese and the only way to do that is to read more novels...

Engrossed in a novel by Steven King; The Stand, in English obviously, my phone started to ring. My eyes glanced through the notice of the class group chat. Abruptly standing up making the books go everywhere and possibly pulled a few muscles.

"Attention children, I have news, I'm afraid our principal is injured, and won't be here for a while. But dont worry these young men and women are here to lend a hand. Isn't that nice?" A teacher gestures to them.

"Seriously. Why do I have to watch these kids, for something I didn't even do." Hazama said pissed, looking at the children around her who are noting her dark appearance.

"What a disgrace." Terasaka sighs as the children cling to him, and a boy is chomping his shoulder.

"You're becoming a chew toy."

Hara laughs, pointing at her cheek, "Hey, we are a team and we all got a sticky slap. He said for even one of us to learn a lesson the whole class has to be on board. Even (f/n) got one..."

(f/n) chuckled darkly while quietly recited a bunch of quotes from famous philosophers. Her hair started to rise because of the access bloodlust coming from her. "That slap was so weak!!! It's so humiliating!"

They all sweatdropped, "That's what she's complaining about."

"I'm sorry guys," Okajima said apologetically.

"It's alright." Kanzaki smiles reassuringly. "we should've realized that someone could get hurt."

"Yeah whatever, as long as I get to appoint myself supervisor," Hazama grins. "Though with you clowns, it's more appropriate to call me ringmaster." Muramatsu and Yoshida turn around and shout words of protests.

Takebayashi sighs while lifting up his glasses, "Well, I propose we can all stealth studying at home. And considering what happened, two weeks of unpaid work is extremely light, we should be grateful."

"Takebayashi... I can't take you seriously when you're being pants by six-year-olds."

"some of these kids are kind of hyper."

"So what are you insects plan on doing for us now," A girl with pink hair spoke up, with a scowl on her face. "you descend on our habitat like a swarm of flies, I figured the least you can do is work of some of the oxygen you're sucking up you losers."

"hey look its the upgraded version of you... Terasaka." (f/n) whispers teasingly.

"what you just say" He shouts at her.

"even her vocabulary is more advanced than yours" She continues to mutter.

"huh?!?!" Terasaka raged.

"Uh oh—Sis Sakura is in a bad mood again." One of the kids spoke up.

"Yeah..." another agreed with him.

"These guys are gonna get massacred." He nods."Think they know she's been here for five years. She spent two of those years resisting school control! They don't call her Sis sakura the elite NEET for nothing"

"That sounds like the downgraded version of you..." Karma told (f/n), and she just scowls at him.

"isn't she too old for this place..." Yoshida asked.

"I don't know dude, don't judge." Muramatsu just scoffs, "maybe she just really likes it here."

She then takes out a broom and started threatening the bunch of middle schoolers. "the real question is whether you guys have it in you to work-"

"Hey, uh—" Nagisa tries to stop her, but when she steps forward the floor under her breaks. "...be careful that part of the floor is all wonky..."He tries to warn her but it was already too late.

"Hey Karma that kinda reminds me of you." (f/n) got her revenge with a smirk.

"how so?" He mirrored her smirk.

"when I once photoshopped you into a trash pit," she replied, as sparks flew between their intense staring contest.

"You're getting it fixed right?" Isogai asks the teacher, "the building I mean... it does seem to be getting a bit unstable."

The teacher smiles helplessly, explaining, "If only we have the funds. Our principal has a soft spot for children stuck on the waiting list for primary school, takes them in at rock bottom rates. He can barely afford the faculty he has. Poor man works himself to the bones..."

Guilt immediately appears on Okajima's and Kimura's faces, as Maehara mumbles thoughtfully, "Twenty-eight of us are here for two weeks...I bet we could do a few things."

"Sure we could!" Hara smiles as everyone nodded in agreement.

"That's the spirit, alright then gang lets all divvy up the workload," Isogai grins. "First, a strategy meeting!"

Nagisa smiles, pulling Sakura out from the ground.

"Please, Sir Karma!! You mustn't hurt anyone else!" Kayano cried out in a princess outfit, standing on the stage, trying to convince her 'knight in shining armor' to not hurt the 'monster'.

"Forgive me, princess, due to my honor I am compelled to drive out this monster! If it lives, there will be no peace in the kingdom."

Karma smiles, as he continues to hit Terasaka. "The script said 'no physical contact!!" Karma smacked him again which set him off. "You were gonna smack me around either way, weren't you?!?" He yells angrily and they start fighting on the stage.

"Wow, the fight choreography is good!"

"Yeah—and that lady's acting really sucks me into the story!"

(f/n) sighed not liking the plot of the story at all. Very discreetly whispers into Okuda's ear. She nods then quickly ran off to prepare. (f/n) jumped onto the stage wearing a hooded costume, and stepped in between the two, surprising them.

Putting her two hands together she said her unscripted line. "Oh dear brother, please. Even if you don't listen to her highness, please hear my plea. The plea of your beloved sister." Everyone was shocked at the level of her acting. "The dragon is not at fault. It may be true that this dragon is a threat, but the truth is he's actually a mother"

Everyone present had their mouths wide open in shock by this accusation.

"Yes, this extremely violent creature is but an overprotective mother." (f/n) continues until Okuda interrupts in a witch costume them by placing a handkerchief sprayed with chloroform over Terasaka's mouth and shouts, "I send thee to the spirit realm, monster!" He falls down to the ground with a thud.

"Excellent work my apprentice." (f/n) said then took off her cloak revealing a black witch costume. "our duty here is finished."

Kayano decides to put an end to the show quickly since its completely off script, so she improvised. "And so thanks to the mages quick thinking they were able to put an end to fight between the two enemies. Otherwise, both the knight and the dragon would've perished along with the destruction of the kingdom."

"The moral of this story is brains over brawns" (f/n) points out. "you see the knight is using his strength to fight the monster but that wouldn't have would've destroyed the entire kingdom. The witches, on the other hand, used their intelligence and defeated the dragon without shedding any blood."

"that's are show," They all clapped.

"You just love stealing my thunder dont you?" Karma playfully chopped (f/n)'s head. "Even Asano has more screentime than me."

(A/n): shut up Karma, come back when you're a main character.

Karma:... my name is literally in the title.

Editor rushes over: I sensed drama and came as fast as i could.

"Kayano's really good with kids," Sugino said to Sugaya as they hulled packs of cement.

"yep, she got talent."

"speaking of talent, who knew (f/n) could act like that, she even helped out Chiba and Ritsu with the blueprints." Sugina sighs at the apparent difference in skill.

"well leave the decorating to me." Sugaya he said encouragingly.

"I don't think it knows how to get down."One of the kids exclaims pointing to a kitten stuck on the tree.

"Poor thing must not have that much experience climbing trees," Kurahashi said.

Nagisa and Sakura came out of the classroom to see what's all the commotions about. Sakura points at the frighten mammal, "You see? the higher you go the more dangerous it is. That's what courage get's you. Thank, but I rather have my feet planted to the ground."

"you're not exactly wrong young Sakura." (f/n) said patting her head, which didn't make the girl happy in the slightest. "but what do I know... why don't you explain it to her, Nagisa"

"I got this" Okajima stood at the foot of the tree with his hands out in front of him, in position. Kimura came running towards him and is launched into the tree and he swings onto a branch, pulling himself up to the kitten. "just like in pole-toppling."

"Well it's like this Sakura...lets pretend that treetop is: primary school, and the ground is this place here... we all start here, on the ground where we all find our strength," Nagisa said watching the guys save the kitten. "Even if get looked down upon... we never stop looking up. Even if we get scared of height before we knew it we started to learn how to climb."

Kimura reaches for the kitten, picking it up. "Gotcha!" He yells when the kitten starts scratching at him with its claws. Yowch.

"We reach the top, but along the way, we forgot what it means the fear of height, so every now and then we fall back to the round and start again." He kneels down to her height, taking her hand and pats her head, smiling gently. "Let's formulate a plan, and when you're ready, go for it. That's my advice, a trade secret, from a late bloomer to another."

A faint blush appeared on her face, and her eyes widen in admiration.

(f/n) smiled, "There's nothing wrong with staying on the ground. If you solidify the basics, you can easily surpass those who rushed to the top... people like them have a poor foundation and at the right time what they worked to build will surely crumble."

"No matter how grand the leaves of the tree is, it's meaningless if roots are all shriveled up." (f/n) eyes grew sad. "Besides the top isn't that great... It's actually quite lonely up there..."
