Ash stared directly into the eyes of the brunette in front of him. A fierce soul piercing gaze in his eyes. How dare this girl bet her own pokemon (A living breathing pokemon) against him?!

The girl smirked slyly at him and spoke, "Come on, it'll be fun! A match. 2 on 2. Between me and you. I win then you join this school and transfer your Kirlia to me. You win then you are free to go with my Bulbasaur...That's it...Or are you..." 'My MOST pathetic pokemon, Bulbasaur that is...' She thought with a mental scoff at her weak Bulbasaur.

"...afraid hmm?" Her devilish smirk split into a wide mocking grin as she said that.

Ash's eyes narrowed dangerously as he glared fiercely at her. He was about to say something when Kirlia beside him spoke, 'Ash accept her challenge'

'What?! How can I Kirlia?! YOU are FAR more important to me. ALL of my pokemon are. I WILL NOT use ANY of you as BETTING CHIPS!'

Kirlia was silent for many moments before he gazed at Ash with hardened eyes, 'We know that Ash...We do. I have known you since we were kids. But I will NOT have anyone call MY FAMILY afraid or cowards...Besides...' Kirlia's evil smirk after that could have sent Giovanni crying to his mother, '...If you win...And I KNOW you will win...Then we get a FREAKING Bulbasaur...Can you imagine that?! The BEST grass/poison pokemon ever! You really need a grass pokemon and we would definetly appreciate a new family member...'

Ash's eyes softened for a moment as Kirlia said those things. Kirlia, his best friend was a sly little devilish bastard. For a fairy pokemon he was very evil. He looked at Giselle with the coldest glare he could muster which made her flinch, "...Giselle Yuto...I accept your challenge..." 'I'll gladly free a pokemon from its trainer who USES the pokemon as a betting chip...What's more can I expect from a spoilt rich snobbish bitch anyway...' He thought bitterly as he gripped his pokeball tightly.

Giselle's smirk didn't leave her face as she thought, 'Great. Kirlia is a well trained psychic pokemon. I'll be damned before I let this trainer and that Kirlia go. From what I have heard that he only has ONE badge. While I am a 5th grade trainer. No way he will be able to defeat me...'

A massive crowd gathered near them as Giselle led Ash to a battlefield. She walked towards the other end of the field with a smirk.

"Hey you!" She pointed at a red haired girl among the crowd of students. The red haired girl pointed a finger at herself as if to ask, 'Me?' Giselle nodded, "Be the referee for this match" She said. That was more of an order than a request.

The red haired girl quickly bobbed her head up and down and took her stance in the middle of the battlefield. She raised her hand an waved to get the attention of the crowd, "This will be a unofficial match between Lady Giselle and Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town. Trainers are allowed to use 3 pokemon each and there will be no changing of Pokemon in between a fight. Trainers send out your first pokemon!" The redhead yelled out at Ash and Giselle.

Ash nodded resolutely and took out the Pokeball for Vibrava. It seemed the most logical choice because Vibrava was truly weak to only 2 types, Ice and Fairy. Those types were a rarity in Kanto and therefore the chance of him getting a type advantage is great.

"Come out Vibrava" Ash said emotionlessly and soon the yellow-green dragon/ground pokemon appeared in the middle of the battlefield with a flash...Giselle and the crowd's eyes bugged out of their sockets as they saw the dragon pokemon from the Hoenn desert.

'My my, you are full of surprises aren't you Ash Ketchum?' Giselle thought in shock seeing Ash's arsenal of Pokemon.

"Go Graveller" She yelled out a little nervously as her rock pokemon was at a disadvantage against the ground dragon.

Both pokemon took their stances on the battlefield. Ash asked Vibrava through Aura, 'Vibrava...This is a battle of honor. She BET her pokemon against mine. She wanted to have a member of OUR family...Show her what we do to those who dare hurt our family 'kay?'

Some kind of unholy fire lit up in the ground dragon's eyes as she buzzed her bug-like wings at high speed showing her excitement and anger. Ash's gaze coldly narrowed at the 4-handed rock type pokemon against him.

"TRAINERS BEGIN!" The red haired referee girl shouted out with a whistle signaling the start of the match.

"Graveller use Rock Throw!" Giselle was the first one to call out her attack. Soon medium sized rocks appeared beside Graveller from thin air and the rock pokemon launched them at Vibrava.

'Vibrava use Dig and go underground' Ash commanded his pokemon. Vibrava quickly reacted and spun wildly as she dived towards the ground. A hole formed in the ground as Vibrava went under it.

All the flying rocks were avoided skillfully by Vibrava's use of Dig. Giselle became a little nervous thinking about where Vibrava would come up from, 'Dammit! This was not there in simulators...What should I do now?!' She thought nervously.

'NOW Vibrava come up in front of the Graveller with Sand Tomb' Ash smirked when he saw the dragonfly pokemon erupt from the ground in front of Graveller as sand began to swirl around the Graveller wildly.

"VEEELLLLEERRRR" The rock pokemon cried out in pain as the supereffective ground type attack hit it. It knew quite well that it was trapped. When Graveller looked up to meet the eyes of the dragon pokemon it immediately recognized the look on Vibrava's face...It was the expression of a predator eying its prey.

...Yup! It was screwed.

Graveller KNEW it was screwed when it saw purplish green draconic energy erupt from Vibrava's mouth and head in its direction. Vibrava had used Dragonbreath as soon as Graveller was trapped in Sand Tomb and couldn't move.

Ash smirked sadistically when he saw Vibrava's Dragonbreath hit Graveller's face directly and it could do NOTHING to evade or protect itself from the draconic wave of energy. Sand Tomb to trap your prey and then Dragonbreath to paralyze...The next attack would be the finisher.

"VELLLEEERRRRR!!!" The Graveller cried in pain once again. Giselle winced as she could do absolutely NOTHING as this boy's pokemon devastated hers.

"GRAVELLER NO!" She cried out as she saw Graveller get blown to the other end of the battlefield by just ONE Dragonbreath. Graveller got up shakily while wincing in pain when he hit the far end of the battlefield.

"Graveller use Rollout!" Giselle yelled out. Although her tone was more of desperation than anything else...

Graveller TRIED to roll itself into a ball and then steamroll the dragonfly pokemon but it couldn't...Ash smirked when Graveller's entire body seemed to freeze up. As in become paralyzed.

"END THIS VIBRAVA! BULLDOZE!"

"NOOOOOOOO!"

Ash and Giselle cried out respectively as Vibrava became covered a some kind of yellow energy. Yellow ground type energy to be exact. Sand particles began to gather around Vibrava as she flew at Graveller with breakneck speeds.

BOOM! CRASH! THUD!

Three things happened simultaneously. Vibrava bulldozed Graveller. Graveller flew away to became embedded in the wall creating spider-cracks on the wall. Then it fell down on the ground pathetically with swirls in its eyes. Graveller was out of game.

"G-Gr-Graveller is out of battle. Lady Giselle p-please send out your next pokemon" The referee called out shakily as she witnessed one of Giselle's MOST powerful pokemon get squashed like a insignificant worm by a dragonfly(which looks like a bug)...

Oh the irony...

"G-Graveller come back...Go Cubone..." Giselle said with...Was that FEAR in her voice?! The ground type pokemon with the skull and a bone appeared on the battlefield with a flash.

Ash scoffed mentally as he looked at the ground type pokemon in front of him. It was a Cubone. A Cubone which looked like it was NOT well trained at all...Its stance was wobbly. The power of Cubone was all in its bone and how it holds it. This one neither had a good stance of holding the bone nor the precision necessary to wield that bone. It will be a quick battle...Ash decided.

"Cubone use Focus Energy" Giselle told her pokemon. The Cubone brought its bone down forcefully and pumped energy into its body.

Ash narrowed his eyes. Giselle's plan was not very hard to see through. She wanted to increase her stats. And her critical hit chance so that she could bring down Vibrava in a few hits. What she did NOT know however was that in simulators the computer with not make counter strategies against you but in real life your opponent will continuously make new strategies to counter you own. So Ash knew what to do. Stop Cubone from increasing stats.

'Vibrava don't let the Cubone focus. Continuous Dragonbreath attacks NOW!' Ash mentally commanded his pokemon. Vibrava sucked in for air and blew greenish-purple draconic energy at the Cubone.

"BONE!" The Cubone lost its focus to evade the Dragonbreath from Vibrava. As soon as it moved to the side and started to focus his energy into himself for Focus Energy another Dragonbreath ruined its concentration. This continued for some time before Ash decided to do something else...Let's go for frontal attacks.

'Vibrava use Sand Tomb and then Tackle' Ash instructed Vibrava. She quickly followed his orders and flew towards Cubone with her wings buzzing. She focused her power onto the sand on the training ground and soon it started to swirl around the Cubone effectively trapping it.

To complete the order she covered herself in white energy and tackled the Cubone. The Cubone which was trapped in the swirling sands flew to the other end of the battlefield and a trail formed on the ground as it landed.

'Is it out?' Ash thought. He looked at the skull pokemon again to see that it was rising up with shaky legs. It had determination...He would give it that.

Giselle looked horrified as her 2nd best pokemon was dispatched so easily. Then she looked at Cubone who landed far away from the battlefield. It was rising on shaky legs with pure determination.

"Miss Yuto...If you are any good as a trainer then please recall your Cubone, I don't think that it can fight anymore..." Ash calmly stated from his side of the battlefield.

Giselle looked expectantly at her Cubone which was still shaking. Her Cubone smiled a little even in its bad condition and gave a wave with its bone...

Even Ash Ketchum's coldest heart softened a little at the determination of her pokemon. It was not easy to find such a loyal little thing...He really didn't want to hurt her pokemon anymore...

Giselle scowled at Ash and said, "SHUT UP! My pokemon can still fight! He can fight right Cubone?!" She asked her pokemon almost desperately.

Cubone gave a shaky nod in return. Ash lowered his head as he sighed deeply. He ran a hand through his spiky silver streaked black hair and tossed his bangs to the side, 'Do what's needed to Vibrava...A weak Dragonbreath should do...' He told Vibrava.

She smiled sadly in return and took a deep breath in and blew greenish-purple draconic energy at the weak Cubone. The Cubone was too weak to even defend or dodge...

Cubone fell down on the ground with swirls in its eyes...unconscious.

'You fought with honor Cubone...You fought well...I pray for your wellbeing' Ash thought mentally with a small smile gracing his lips...

For the first time in her life of a princess Giselle Yuto felt small tears form in her eyes. She was supposed to be unbeatable!! No one should be able to defeat her! She was the most powerful trainer in her batch! How did this BOY with ONE badge defeat her...She recalled her Cubone and put both her hands on her face.

Then she ran. She cupped her tear stained face and ran past the crowd of students and Ash...

Ash felt soft wind blow on his face and through his hairs as the crying girl ran past him...His spiky silver streaks blew with the wind at the direction the girl ran into...

He didn't know what to do now...Oh who was he kidding! Of course he knew what to do...His hero complex will not leave a girl cry all alone...

'I swear I am Arceus' chew toy...' He thought as he recalled Vibrava and went after the crying girl...

DONE! INFORMATION : Yes you may have guessed that Giselle will go through a redemption arc. She is currently very insensitive to pokemon and their feelings. Ash will have to correct that. She may or may not develop an attraction to him later on *wink*

But I assure you that there will be NO HAREMS! I like realistic things and something such as a harem will be VERY IMPROPER and unrealistic.

So...Stay safe in this (now slowly ending) outbreak and remember to Read and Review so that I can improve the standard of the story. Suggestions and corrections are very much appreciated.
Wait a damn minute?! I was not supposed to update before 4th March!! LOL!
