Ariana laid in bed later that evening as she tried to wrap her mind around the fact that it wasn't a dream or something conjured up by her imagination. What had happened in his office earlier that day was real. It had happened. Mr. Black had touched her the way he did.

Damn!

Ariana shut her eyes and the memory and feel of his lips on her nape. She shook the thought out of her head before it could take root there. She tried to avoid him the rest of the day knowing it was what was best for both of them. The thing between them, whatever it was, couldn't be controlled and it was dangerous for her.

The fear that she'd felt at that moment when she found herself sinking into the feeling of what he was doing to her in his office caught her off guard and she didn't want to feel that fear again. One second, she was mad and the next her heart was about to jump out of her chest.

The last time she'd been in his office, her imagination had run wild and that was nothing compared to what had happened, the real thing. It was like she'd been given a shot of adrenaline.

Ugh. How do I get myself to stop thinking about this?
Ariana turned in her bed for the umpteenth time that night.

There was no training on how to fight things like this. All she knew about it was that it made her feel weak and not in control. She didn't like that one bit. Her kind of job had no room for mistakes which and she couldn't afford to make one which was what would happen if she lost control.

One slip up and you're as good as dead.

She needed to stay focused, to get her head straight. There was only one way she knew how to do that.

Ariana pushed the blanket off and got out of bed. She took off her sweats and pulled on her gym gear of a sports bra and yoga pants. She wore a loose t-shirt over it before slipping on her biker's jacket. She grabbed her keys and made her way out of the room.

Ariana walked through the dark living room, heading towards the door when she noticed a movement outside and stopped. It was a second till she realized it was just Jace in the pool swimming back and forth. She quickly made her way out of the house before he saw her.

Ariana got on her bike and turned on the engine just at the same time the lights in the living area turned on. She pulled her helmet on and revved out of there.

Jace stepped out of the house and frowned as he watched Ariana's bike disappear down the driveway heading towards the gate. He wondered where she was going so late in the evening.

Ariana arrived at her destination half an hour later. She took off her helmet and hopped off her bike. She walked down the dark alley and took a left down the narrow stairs, her helmet hooked to her side with her arm over it and her key in her other.

She walked down the stairs and felt the back of her hair stand. She stopped and turned around to see if someone was behind her but there was no one. After getting the letter that threatened her, she'd been extra careful when she went out on her own. Ariana ignored the feeling and made her way down the stairs.

Arriving in front of a steel door, she banged it thrice and a small opening on the door slid open. She smiled at whoever's eyes were glaring at her through the opening before the door was pulled open for her.

"Been a while since you came down here."

"Been busy." Ariana stepped inside and the door shut behind her, "Who's up?"

"Drago."

"Been meaning to get into one with him."

He smiled,
"I'll be in the frontline cheering you on," He said, "Would love to see the look on his face when you take him."

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves" Ariana smiled,

"See you out there."

Ariana walked further down the darkly lit narrow hallway then pushed through a set of red swinging doors that opened up to a large room, with a wrestling ring in the centre, and chairs surrounding it like a lecture hall. Ariana headed to her right muting the screams from the crowd due to the wrestling that was already going on.

The last time she was there, it wasn't this big and there weren't a lot of people which she liked. She was there to let off steam and not have people screaming for or against her. It was supposed to be a private underground fight and now it's like every living soul in the entire ten blocks on each side of the building was in attendance. As she walked behind the crowd, she watched the fighters, Dargo and someone else who looked new.

Ariana headed towards the back where the fighters prepped.

"Hey, Adam, what you doing here?" Ariana stopped,

It had been a while since anyone called her by her dad's name aka her fighter's name. Her name didn't sound like a fighter's name. She almost laughed as she pictured the announcer calling her out like:

...It's Ari Bitch! Nah.

Ariana turned around and came face to face with Drago who'd just left the ring. She saw as he landed the final blow to his opponent before she stepped into the back room.

"Just decided to stop by and see how you were handling things."

"Well, things are great as you can see." He said arrogantly

"I doubt that," Ariana said, "But let's finish this conversation after we have a go."

A look flashed in his eyes before he smiled.
"You know how long I've wanted to kick your ass."

"Well, I'd love to see you try."

Drago was five inches taller than her and bigger. But speed was more important than size and she'd seen him fight a lot. She knew his weak spot and she knew she could take him. It wasn't going to be easy but she wanted to see.

"Next fighters in the ring," the announcer's voice came through the speakers.

"We're up," Drago said and turned around heading out of the back room.

Ariana took off her jacket and the loose t-shirt, quickly putting on her gloves, she headed towards the ring, following Drago onto the stage. She could hear more female voices cheering him on as he walked past them.

"Drago..." the announcer said and Dargo went between the ring lines into the ring as the crowd went wild.

"...and Adam" Ariana went between the lines and the cheers lessened just a little bit.

She figured those ones were the ones who'd seen her fight before and the rest, well, they were about to know her. Not that she cared for their cheers anyway, all she cared about was the man smiling smugly at her inside the ring.

"Go back home." Someone yelled and a few people began booing her.

Drago smirked.

"Ready?" The referee asked,

They both nodded and then the bell went ding-ding.

Ariana watched his footing knowing he took an extra step before he hit his opponent and he always tried to get the first blow. She ducked when she took that extra step slamming her fist into his stomach making him double over. He quickly got over it and went for her face again, she was quick to dodge it by moving to the other side and giving him one of hers square in his jaw.

Things kept going like that till he got angry and gave her all he had. She didn't let him land a single kick or punch. She had him pinned on the ground in less than a minute and they were up for round two.

The cheering got louder, breaking through her bubble where it was just her and Drago. She shook it off, muting the sound and it faded into the background as the bell went again. She was getting ready for him to attack when she caught a movement at the corner of her eyes. She turned her head for just a second to see who or what it was but then was stunned that she forgot where she was for a second.

"Jace?" Ariana whispered.

It all happened in slow motion. She saw his eyes widen and he mouthed 'watch out' but when she turned, remembering where she was, Drago sucker punched her. She stumbled backwards but found her footing before she fell and he tried to attack her again thinking she was still recovering from the punch but she was ready with one of hers. She remained doubled over but watched for his feet and as soon as he was near, she straightened and rammed her fist into his side, then turning anti-clockwise, she balanced on her right leg, swinging her left in the air, her leg hit his head which threw him to the floor. She walked towards him and kicked him in his stomach again just as the bell rang. She got out of the ring angrily.

The crowd had been silent through her assault and the cheer erupted as she headed towards the back room furious at Jace for having distracted her.

What the heck was he doing here?
Ariana wondered as she put on her t-shirt and pulled her jacket on. She grabbed her helmet and walked out of the backroom heading towards the exit. Using the back of her hand, she swiped it across her bottom lip that she assumed was now busted. Her jaw was numb.

Jace knew he had distracted her and he knew she was mad at him for showing up and for distracting her. He watched her head off the ring and towards a room in the back and he pushed his way through the crowd, going after her. But then saw her leave the room and head towards the exit, he got past the crowd as quickly as he could and went after her.

"Nice fight, Adam."

Ariana didn't acknowledge him as she walked out the steel door and up the stairs heading towards her bike.

"Green!" Jace called behind her,

Ariana wanted to turn around and punch him the same way Drago had and see how he liked that but instead, she kept walking.

"Ariana!" He quickened his pace to catch up with her knowing she was ignoring him.

Ariana didn't turn around. She was so pissed and all she wanted to do was get on her bike and drive around the city till she cooled off then head back to his place. But he caught her before she reached her bike.

"Ari." Jace grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him.

Ariana turned around facing him, standing an inch away from him, they stared into each other's eyes. Her head tilted back so she could match his stare.
