Your POV

I jolt up, sweating. I'm on the couch, Sans, Frisk, Papyrus, Alphys, Toriel and Undyne are huddled up around me. "Oh thank God.." They all (Except Undyne of course, and Sans for some reason....) hugged me tightly. "What happened?" They stayed silent. ... They looked nervous but Sans was just devoid of any emotion, eyesockets empty.

Wait, Chara drove a knife though my..

I bring out my soul.

...

It's so small and greyish. It used to be a vibrant pink, now it's... ... It used to glow brightly but now it's just like a dim light bulb. And.. there's a giant hole smack in the middle leaking with yellow liquid... Yellow cracks run across the little soul, like it's about to break in half.

The yellow stuff collected at the bottom of the soul, the bead of liquid dripping on my clothing made me feel dizzy every time it fell.

"W-We tried to collect the lost determination and fill the hole but it w-wouldn't respond to the m-m-medicine or stop leaking, s-so it's gonna stay like that f-for a bit until it heals.." Alphys fiddled with her labcoat. So that's what determination looks like.. weird..

"Ugh.. I wanna sleep.." "My child, do you wish to stay in the Ruins with Frisk and I?" "Sure.." I rubbed my forehead.

Alphys nudged Undyne.

"Sorry, punk. Can I make it up to you with an Anime marathon with Alph this weekend?" "That would be great." I smile, trying not to wince at the headache.

"W-Well, we're gonna go now. See you guys tomorrow at the party." Alphys and Undyne greeted goodbye and left.

"HUMAN, ARE YOU ABLE TO WALK?" I try standing up. My legs give out. If it wasn't for Frisk, I would have faceplanted on the floor. "i can carry her." His voice is low and omenous, like the time Frisk and I met him at the bridge.

"WE'LL ALL GO. IT'S A LONG WAY AFTER ALL, AND THE HUMAN ISN'T VERY.. INSULATED RIGHT NOW." Wait..

I look at my clothes. I'm in my tank top and my normal jeans. Maybe my hoodie got soaked in liquid determination? Huh..

He uses telekinesis to carry me. What's wrong with Sans? And another illogical thing about him is that he can see even though his eye sockets go empty. You know what? Monsters are made of magic. So the only explanation is magic.

We go outside the house, and the snowflakes falling are eerily slow, like time is frozen. The cold isn't even unbearable anymore, it's just like an airconditioner.

We start walking through the quiet town.

There's usually the cheery Snowdin music heard somewhere in the distance, but now it's like you're in a soundproof box.

There's something very wrong about that hole in my soul and the environment today... Either that or the huge lack of determination in my system is making me hallucinate things..

And then almost as if magic, we're already at the Ruins door. Sans must have teleported us.. but I didn't feel dizzy this time. ...

"Thank you for taking care of them all this time. How can I repay you two 'heroes'?" Toriel chuckled softly. "IT IS FINE, QUEEN TORIEL. THEY WERE OUR FRIENDS AND WHAT MORE COULD WE DO FOR THEM?" "You may just call me 'Toriel', Papyrus. Well, we shall be off now. Take care, you two." Sans is very interested in the ground today.

"I think I am able to walk now.." Sans almost drops me in the snow, he quickly catches me with telekinesis. "sorry." He mutters, looks back down at the snow and shoves his hands in his pockets. ....

Okay, I can walk now. "GOODBYE HUMAN Y/N AND HUMAN FRISK! HOPE YOU GET BETTER SOON!" Papyrus waves as the door opens and closes behind us.

"Frisk, something's really wrong with today.. I just know..." "You've been asleep for three days." What?! Then we missed the date and Mettaton's party.. Sans' date..

"This is all my fault.. I was too irrational at making that decision of... .. I deserve this. I'm a total trash mammal." I slouch. Walking through this corridor thinking about what I have just been told fills me with guilt.

"First, We're all trash mammals! And second, hmm.. Well it's not entirely your fault.. Undyne can get really serious when it comes to her job and her anger issues with humans fuel it further.." "But you guys missed the party.. and I was the biggest jerk to try suiciding the day just before the date and the party." "You didn't mean it, and that's all that matters. And right now, you need to rest. No going to Snowdin until your soul is good to go. Doctor Frisk's orders." Frisk giggles.

"I just felt my soul bash against the wall of my ribcage." "Well you can still call him!" "Yeah but based on his attitude, he's probably not gonna pick up.." "Aww, don't be so negative! Just try it!" She handed me her cell phone.

"Would you two like Butterscotch Cinnamon pie when we get home?" "Yeeeesss!" We answered in unison. "Hehe. I shall make soup aswell as a bonus!" Toriel giggled. "But first, call your boyfriend." She added. Frisk laughs. "Okay, okay." I dialed the number.

Huh.. not picking up.. "Hmm.. maybe they're still walking home. I'll just call later." I gave the phone back to Frisk. "Aww. Okay then. Ooh, I see the basement entrance already! Come on sis!" She tugged me forward, I stumble a bit.

"Woah, slow down! I'm not fully healed yet!" I try keeping up. Toriel carries me onto her shoulders like a little kid. I laugh, Frisk smiled and runs through the halls. We go up the stairs, I get down from Toriel's shoulders and breathe in the air of Home away from home. After that, we go in the kitchen and help Goat Mom bake the pie.

Maybe today won't be so bad after all.
