Yesterday at the barbecue, she had a really great time, after the whole 'Kandy' incident, the barbecue was actually really fun. She met a lot of really nice people, and had amazing food.

They stayed at the club house until almost ten, before driving home. She couldn't wait to get home and get into her soft, warm, and comfortable bed. She was so tired after a day if dancing, and meeting people.

She pulled into the parking spot right under the street light, it felt safer that way. "Katie, wake up, we're home." She said to her drunk friend. She helped her out of the car and into the house and into bed.

"Good night, Katie." She said, rolling her eyes at her, already asleep in bed, with her jacket and shoes on.

She smiled and walked to her room, deciding to get in the shower, so that she could sleep in a little in the morning, before her doctor's appointment at twelve thirty.

She took a shower and changed into her green pajama shorts and a pink tank top, putting her hair up in a bun, and got into bed.

She turned off the light an put her hand on her stomach. "I get to see you tomorrow." She whispered, rubbing her stomach gently. "And I'll get pictures printed out. Your daddy is taking us." She said quietly. "What do you think about him? He seems to care about you already." She said, thinking back to when the food was finished, and she got her plate. She got grilled chicken, steamed vegetables and some fruit salad, he sat next to her and talked to her about everything, her classes, what she liked to do for fun, he told her a little bit about his club, and that he was the president, which was basically the boss.

He told her he was really looking forward to going to the doctor's appointment the next afternoon. Then, they danced together, not ballroom dancing or anything, the music was mostly rock music, or rap, but they had fun, a lot of fun.

She ended up falling asleep around midnight, thinking of everything that happened that day, the way Jude smiled at her, or he wrapped his arms around her waist and rubbed her stomach.

The next morning, she woke up to her phone ringing. She picked it up and answered it, not bothering to check who it was, she was so tired.

"Hello?" She asked, groggily.

"Hey, I'm leaving my house now, I'll be there in about ten minutes." The voice on the other end of the phone said.

"Be where? Who is this?" She asked, half asleep.

"Jude, babe, did you oversleep? It's almost noon." He said, and she could hear the smirk in his voice.

She jumped out of bed. "Crap." She squeaked out, throwing her pajamas on the floor and putting on the jeans and T-shirt she had set out last night.

She picked up her phone again and sighed. "Yes, I overslept... I'll see you in a few." She said softly before saying good bye to Jude and hanging up. She walked into the bathroom, taking her hair out of the bun she had tied it in last night, and it fell in perfect soft, messy waves own her back. She brushed it, then quickly brushed her teeth. She checked the time, five minutes until they had to leave, or they would be late.

She put on her tennis shoes and ran downstairs, grabbing a couple Oreos, right as there was a knock on the door.

"Please tell me you are not eating those for breakfast." Jude said, looking at the Oreo's in her hand.

"Yes, they are, they're amazing." She said softly. He gave her a look and she rolled her eyes. "It's what the baby wants!!!" She said as they walked to her car.

"Fine, eat the cookies for breakfast, but, let me take you to lunch after your appointment, okay?" He asked.

"Okay, I'll have lunch with you... If that was what you wanted, you should have just asked me." She said with a smirk, making him roll his eyes. "Are you always this frustrating?" He asked, smiling as he started his Jeep and drove them to the address she told him to go to.

When they got to the doctor's office, they walked in, as Maddie dusted off her hands from the cookies. She signed in, and they sat in the waiting room, surrounded by expecting mothers, and their nervous husbands or boyfriends. While the other men in the room looked around anxiously, scrolled through their phones, or spoke in hushed voices to their spouses, Jude walked in, confidant, like he owned the place. He looked cool and calm as he picked up a magazine that had some girl and a motorcycle on the cover and started flipping through it.

She ran a hand through her hair as the familiar queasy feeling of morning sickness set in. It didn't always happen in the morning, sometimes, it would happen throughout the day, but she had only actually emptied her stomach once, which was good, normally, she was just nauseous.

She took a deep breath and looked at the clock, twelve forty, they must have been running late. "Have you seen this doctor before?" Jude asked her, looking up from his magazine.

"No, my doctor, Dr Kallin, referred me to her, he says she's really good." She said quietly. Jude nodded.

The brown haired woman sitting across from them with her husband nodded. "She's great, but she tends to over book, my appointment was at Twelve fifteen, and I haven't been back yet, since I started coming to her, I have learned to bring a book to read." She said with a smile.

Maddie nodded. "Oh, great. I will make sure not to make appointments on the days I have class then." She said with a smile.

The woman smiled at her. "That would be a good idea. I'm Jessica and this is my husband Max." She said, nodding over to her husband, he was tall, with blonde hair and green eyes, they were both around thirty, maybe thirty three.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Maddie, and that's Jude." She said. Jude nodded, but didn't say anything, causing Maddie to roll her eyes.

"He doesn't know how to be friendly in casual conversations." She said with a smirk, causing Jude to laugh.

"Yeah, sure, I must have been pretty good at conversation, this started with conversation, didn't it?" He asked, nodding to her stomach.

She was about to answer when her name was called.

She stood and waved to Jessica and Max before her and Jude walked into the room. The room she was put in was a normal hospital room, white walls, white tile floor, an exam bed, and ultrasound equipment, and one chair sitting next to the exam table.

"Please change into this gown, the doctor will be with you shortly." The blonde nurse said with a smile before leaving the room.

"Uhm, turn around please." She said to Jude, blushing shyly.

"It's nothing I haven't seen before." He said with a smile, before turning around.

She quickly changed into the grown and sat own on the table. "Okay, you can turn around now." She said. Jude nodded before turning around and sitting in the chair next to her. "Are you nervous?" He asked her.

She nodded. "Yeah, very." She whispered. He nodded. "Don't worry, it will be fine, they're jst going to ask you a bunch of questions and look at the baby." He said. She looked at him, shocked. "How do you know that?" She asked. He laughed. "Google, babe, I don't walk into anything unprepared." He said, laughing.

She rolled her eyes. "I thought you had another kid or something, I was going to say, you need to be more careful." She said, shaking her head.

He laughed. The doctor walked in and smiled. "Hi, I'm Dr. Kenson. It says on your form you suspect you're around six weeks, right?" She asked her. Maddie smiled. "Hi, yes, well, seven weeks tomorrow." She said. The doctor nodded, typing on the laptop that she carried in with her. "Okay, great, we'll just ask you some questions about your family history, your health history, and how you have been feeling lately, then we will get started on the ultrasound." She said.

Ten minutes later, the doctor pointed the screen. "That is your baby, that little tiny kidney bean." She said with a smile.

"Wow." Maddie whispered, amazed. Jude stood up to get a better look. He took her hand gently. "It's so small." He said, tilting his head, a huge smile on his face. She nodded, she didn't expect it to be so small, but then again, she was only six weeks along.

"I am going to print some pictures and then I'll leave so you can get dressed. On your way out, schedule another appointment for six weeks from today, and call if your need anything, leave a message with my staff and they will let me know, and I will call you back as soon as I can." She said with a smile. "It was nice to meet you both, and congratulations." She said before leaving.

Jude turned around while Maddie got dressed. She handed him one of the pictures as they walked out to his car.

"So, what do you want for lunch?" He asked her.

After they finished their burgers, he brought her back to her house, and walked her to the front door.

"Thanks for taking me today, I was so nervous, I would have been more nervous if I was by myself." She said quietly. He nodded. "No problem, thanks for letting me come." He said with a smile. "Do you have classes tomorrow?" He asked her. She nodded. "Yeah, at nine, but I get off at three." She said. He nodded.

"Can I take you out to dinner tomorrow night?" He asked her. She froze. Was this a date? Should she say yes?

She looked up at him nervously, before nodding. "Sure.' She whispered. He nodded.

"I'll pick you up at five." He said before leaning down to kiss her cheek. "Text me tomorrow." He said. She rolled her eyes. "I'm serious, I like to check on you." He said with a smile before walking back to his black jeep that was parked on the street a few feet in front of the door of her apartment. She laughed and nodded to him. "Fine, I'll text you." She said before waving to him and walking into her apartment.

'Shit, I just agreed to go on a date with him... And I'm excited about it.' She thought as she walked up the stairs and into her bedroom.
