Hey guys! I'm SO sorry it took this long; I live in Texas and we had TAKS testing all week! But on the plus side, I had enough free periods that I could get the chapter AND the research needed for the rest of the story done! And it's almost summer so uploads will (hopefully) be more frequent:))

Hope you like the chapter, and don't worry about being confused. If I do it right, you'll be confused for another few chapters:)

Haha I'm weird...

And the dedication is because this girl made me two amazing covers! It's either on the side, or go to falleninfinitybookswp.tumblr.com!

CHAPTER SEVEN

Cameron’s idea to wake the house up definitely gained him a few enemies.

“Bacon and coffee!” He shouted, blasting an air horn as he walked around the house. My head was still a little sore, so I stayed a few steps behind.

I wanted to groan; I’d never reacted this badly to alcohol before. I made a mental note to watch how much I consumed from now on.

“What the hell? Tay, control your boyfriend.” Rania groaned from the floor.

“But it’s fun…” I pouted, laughing when Cam kissed me.

“Every time you pout, I’ll kiss you.” He shrugged.

“Note to self: stop pouting.” I joked, earning a glare from Cam.

Before he could respond, Rania rejoined us. “Quit being so flirty and get me some damn Advil or something.”

“Yes, ma’am.”  Cameron rolled his eyes at me, heading back to the kitchen to get some Advil. I heard the air horn going off a couple more times as people began to clear out. I hoped they’d be safe on the roads.

“Why are you so happy?” Rania complained, and I shrugged.

“All I know is that we need to get to your house so I can change.” I told her.

            “You have a ride?”

“Cam said he’d give us one.” I caught Rania as she tried to get up, and stumbled forward. I led her slowly to an empty chair. The room was slightly less crowded now, and I’d heard cars pulling out of the driveway.

Cam returned, holding two Advil and a glass of water.

Rania muttered a thanks, swallowing the pills quickly.

“Where’s Matthew?” She asked, looking around at the floor. The remaining people had obviously decided to ignore the air horn and keep sleeping, though I had no idea how they managed it.

I looked around, seeing Matthew stumble into the bathroom, and pause at the sink. I turned away before I could see what I knew was going to happen.

“Throwing up in the sink.” Cam said, and I knew he’d seen it too.  “Now are you ready to go?” He asked.

Rania nodded, holding her head as though it would fall off. “Thanks. I don’t trust me or Matthew driving right now.” She admitted.

“Alright, I’ll put you girls in the car and come back for Matthew.” Cam led us, mainly Rania, down to the car, and I couldn’t help think about how nice he was.

“Thanks, I try.” Cameron grinned at me.

“What did I say?” I frowned.

“That I was nice. I think you’re pretty nice too.” He smirked.

I bit my lip, trying to focus on walking in a straight line. The pounding, though dumbed down slightly, was a constant reminder of how much I’d drank last night.

Cameron kissed me again, biting my lip. I wanted to hold back the moan, but the sensations coursing through me removed my willpower.

He pulled away, eyes wide. “Seriously? That’s a turn on? Interesting.”

I groaned. “You’re going to use this against me, aren’t you?”

He nodded, helping a half-conscious Rania into the backseat.

“I’ll be right back, Cutie.” He smirked, a wicked glint in his eyes as he leant forward, pressing his lips once again to meet mine.

I let myself get a little carried away, enjoying the simple kiss that made me feel more than any other guy had.

Cam bit down lightly, and I again couldn’t stop the throaty moan.

But if I had to get embarrassed, so did he.

I pressed against him gently, and allowed another breathless moan when he bit harder. “Cam…”

He groaned, and I forced myself not to smile at the sound. Almost there…

I moved myself up and down, grinding him.

“Dammit, Tay.” He growled possessively, holding me tighter.

He pulled away from the kiss to rest his forehead against my own, and I was pleased to note that his breathing was as hard and irregular as mine.

“How do you do that?” He breathed.

“Do what?” I asked, my brain still trying to catch up, process everything.

“Make me not just want you, but need you?” He looked into my eyes, and I was glad to see he appeared as confused as me.

“I’m doing the same thing as you.” I told him.

            “I’m not doing anything.”

I looked directly into his eyes. “Exactly.”

There was pure emotion in his eyes, and I knew I had to pull away before I said or did something I regretted.

But I couldn’t move; I was held captive in his arms.

I had to get out. I couldn’t handle the romance that was involved in this. I had to get out.

“Don’t you need to get Matthew?” I asked, trying to subtly push him off me.

            Cam sighed. “Yeah…”

He finally pulled away, and I wanted to hit myself for feeling cold at the loss of contact. The feeling was so strong, I almost grabbed him and pulled him back to me.

            Almost.

I stepped into his car, leaving the door open for the fresh air.

“You and Cameron seemed pretty intense.” Rania’s voice made me jump.

“I thought you were out of it.” I crossed my arms stubbornly.

“Still saw you making out like the world was going to end.” Rania smirked.

“Well, at least I didn’t have drunken sex with him in a closet.” I joked.

“Wait, who did that?” She asked.

I turned sharply to look at her, wincing at the slightly pain. She was telling the truth.

My mouth fell open. “You did. At least, that’s what I heard.”

“What? No I didn’t.” Rania laughed nervously.

I shrugged. “It might be just a rumor.” I said, hoping I wasn’t lying. If Rania couldn’t remember the actual thing, who knows what else she’d forgotten.

“It is! Have you spoken to my mom?”

I smiled a little at the change of subject. “Yeah, she’s fine. She was just a little bit worried about you.” I told her, watching Cameron drag a still slightly drunk Matthew to the car.

“I’m telling you, we’re gonna get married, and have plant babies.” Matthew slurred, and I noticed he was holding a plastic pot plant.

“Sure you will.” Cameron muttered, strapping him in beside Rania.

“Ah! The girlfriend! Cameron, don’t tell her about my mistress!” Matthew whispered, but it sounded too loud and we all heard it.

I glanced at my best friend, who was raising an eyebrow at Matthew. I guess she hadn’t seen the plant yet.

“Matthew, it’s just plastic. Besides, I heard she’s already married.” Cameron sighed, getting into the front seat. I shut my door too.

Matthew gasped. “How could she! Fine, I’ll live without her!” He opened a window, even though the car still wasn’t moving, and threw the plant onto the ground with a dull thud. “Now I can focus on my love! Rain, I love you! We should get married, and have babies, and live together!” He declared.

The car was silent for a second, minus the sound of the tires traveling over the bumps in Jack’s driveway, and I saw Rania’s mouth was open in shock.

Both Cam and I waited patiently for her reaction.

“I’ll believe him when he’s sober.” She finally said, stroking Matthew’s head, which was now currently hanging out the window as he panted like a dog.

I glanced at Cameron, trying to see what he made of his drunken friend. He wasn’t focused on Matthew though, he was staring at me. I thanked God that we were at a stoplight.

The light turned green and he finally stopped staring. The rest of the ride was silent apart from my directions and Matthew’s occasional whimper. It seemed he was trying to be a puppy.

That was definitely the craziest party I’d ever been to.

“Can you help me get Rania inside?” I asked Cam when he stopped the car.

“Yeah, I think Matthew will need some help too. He looks kind of… stuck.” Cam pointed to the backseat, and I giggled. Matthew was clinging to Rania as though she were a teddy bear.

“Let’s do this.” I nodded to Cameron. “You get Matthew, I’ll get Rania.”

Cam effortlessly pulled his friend off of Rania, and I managed to help her tumble out the door.

“No, don’t take her…” Matthew mumbled, and I saw Cameron roll his eyes.

            “He’s whipped.” Cam laughed.

“So is she.” I tilted my head to Rania.

“Well, I’ll see you later?” Cam made it a question.

“Call me.” I smiled, blowing a kiss to him as he left us at the door.

“Definitely.” He pressed a quick kiss to my lips, instantly making me crave more. “Bye, girlfriend.”

I hid the blush on my cheeks, turning back to the house.

“Bye, boyfriend.” I muttered, knocking on the door. It opened in seconds.

“Are you both ok?” Misty asked, and I nodded.

“Yeah, a  little hung over, but nothing too bad.” I told her, accepting the help with leading Rania inside.

            “Are you sure?”

“Yeah, sorry for worrying you.” I said.

Misty shrugged. “Don’t worry about it. But you have to call your dad.”

I paused. She’d mentioned this earlier too… “Why?”

“He stopped by. I told him you were asleep and that was why you weren’t here. he said you should call him as soon as you woke up.”

“Great. Thank you so much for covering. Why was my dad here in the first place?” I asked.

Misty froze. “He wanted advice on what to wear tonight. Don’t forget to wish him luck.”

I glanced at  her, but shrugged it off. The way she’d said it had sounded… off. I let it go; it wasn’t really my business.

“Well, I’m going to lie Rania down.” I said, heading to her room.

God this was crazy; I was in here just last night getting ready for Pizza Hut, and now I was dating Cameron Riter.

Life really was a crazy ass rollercoaster.

I checked the time, shocked to see it was already 2PM.

            I dialed my dad’s number.

            “Hey, hon. Are you awake?”

“Kind of.” I made my voice sound slightly quieter, as though I’d just woken up.

“Alright. Well, I just wanted to make sure you were ok.” He sounded cautious.

            “Why wouldn’t I be?”

“You got a letter from the doctor.” My dad sighed.

I felt myself lock down. “What did it say?” I asked, unsure if I wanted to even know.

“Get it from Misty. I opened it first, and she promised not to read it unless you gave the ok.” My dad said.

I  numbly said an ok, unable to stay in the conversation. I was acutely aware when my dad hung up on me, but I didn’t move. I vaguely remembered I’d forgotten to wish him luck. I’d just text him later.

I’d gone to the doctor’s about a month ago due to some sharp stomach cramps and some slightly weird aches, and had completely forgotten about all the testing they’d done until now.

I shut my phone, walking into the kitchen.

“Do you have it?” I asked Misty, and the look in her eyes told me I didn’t need to elaborate. Instead of saying anything, she handed me the envelope.

“It will be fine.” She muttered, putting her hand on my arm as I sat at the kitchen table.

I just nodded. The letter inside the envelope would explain and decide my entire life.

“I can’t do it.” I muttered, noticing the paper was shaking.

“Yes, you can. You know we’ll all be here for you.” Misty squeezed my arm encouragingly.

I nodded, forcing myself to open it.

I wish I had a drink. Or, hell, even a kiss from Cam would be helpful.

Maybe he’d let me go over depending on what I read.

The letter slipped out easily, and I hated that it wasn’t just a line. No, they’d had to write an entire page of bullshit.

Nervously, I read through the note.

A tear fell down my eye, but I brushed it away angrily.

This was what I’d wanted, right?

I shoved the letter to Misty, unable to look at it.

This was what I’d hoped. I kept telling myself that, reminding myself.

            Then why did it hurt?

“You’ll be fine.” Misty insisted, shredding the letter. “At least you don’t have cancer.”

I nodded. “I know. I don’t even know why I’m crying. This was what I wanted, remember?” I faked a smile, and I knew that this weekend I’d have to woman up.

“Because now you don’t even have the choice.” Misty answered simply, handing me a cup. “You know I’m not a fan of giving you kids alcohol, but I think you need it right now.”

I took a sniff of the drink. She was giving me a shot of gin and tonic from the smell of it.

I shrugged. I couldn’t agree more with her; I needed this right now.

The drink burned my throat, reminding me once again that I’d been hammered last night, but I dealt.

“Are you and Rania going to be ok tonight? I’m going to a yoga class with some girls from work, and then we’re going to go for some drinks.”

I smiled genuinely. “We’ll be fine. Maybe we can go to Matthew’s.” I suggested, thinking I could probably see Cameron as well. I wasn’t a needy girlfriend, but my day had just gone downhill, and he could definitely cheer me up.

“He can come over here, but I’d prefer it if you stayed here tonight. And no alcohol tonight.” Misty warned.

“Deal. And if Matthew comes over, so will my boyfriend.” I smiled, knowing I was going to be interrogated.

At least I wouldn’t  be thinking about the letter.

            “Who’s your boyfriend?” Misty asked.

“Cameron Riter. Ex player of our high school.” I explained.

“Player? Are you sure he won’t hurt you?” She asked.

I nodded. “Yeah, I’m pretty sure I have more chance of hurting him.” I joked.

            “How did that happen?”

I told her the story. She looked a little disapproving at me being so desperate to not be a virgin, but let it go when I told her my reasons.

“He asked me out last night with the bet.” I finished.

Misty was quiet for a minute, before saying, “Are you sure that’s healthy?”

“Yeah, we are actually dating. The bet is just a bonus.” I reminded her.

“Tay?” Rania moaned, and I looked away from Misty.

“Hey, you’re up! How are you feeling?” I asked.

Rania shrugged. “A little better, and hungry.”

She hesitated, before adding, “Tay, can I ask you something?”

            I nodded.

“Why is there an envelope with your name on in my kitchen? And why is it from a doctor’s office?”

I froze, glancing at Misty. Did I tell my best friend the biggest secret of my life?

            Misty just shrugged.

“They just wanted to tell me they date of my next check-up. My dad dropped it by.” I finally said, lying through my teeth.

I hated doing it, but it was necessary. I couldn’t tell her. If she ever found out, she’d feel guilty when she…

I sighed. I couldn’t even think about it without wanting to cry.

Ignoring Rania’s next words, I headed into the bathroom, locking the door behind me.

And finally, I let myself shed the tears I’d been holding in.

I know it's shorter than usual, so SORRY!!:( I just thought this was a good place to end it...

Again, don't worry if you're confused, you're supposed to be:P
