CHAPTER THREE

"Uh, player says what now?" I asked, looking at Cameron's shocked face.

"I love YouTube?" He tried.

"That's what I thought. Jeez, don't scare me like that." I sighed, getting up to check the phone in my pocket, which was currently on the floor.

"Holy shit!" I hissed, throwing my clothes back on. I was kind of sore down there, but I tried to ignore it. I had a feeling I'd look like I was limping for a couple of days though.

"What happened?"

"Um, Rania, my best friend, has kind of been looking for me for the past four hours!" I explained, freaking out.

"Four hours? Nice stamina." Cameron commented, before locking down. "Hold on, Rania? Dammit..."

I frowned at him. "She apparently told Matthew to tell me to stay away from you." He rubbed the back of his head nervously. "I don't know why though, you're a cool girl."

I laughed. "She thinks me wanting to not be a virgin is stupid and I should wait. I was getting desperate and you kind of came up." I told him. He raised an eyebrow. "Don't do that, you know you have a reputation. I figured if I could get you alone, you'd help. And look at that, it worked." I grinned.

"I feel so used." He faked sadness, holding his hand to his heart.

I giggled. "Yeah, yeah, Player. Acting really isn't your forte."

"Hey, I'll have you know I can act very well! I was a tree in the last play we did! I think I did an awesome job." He defended, making me laugh harder.

Once I'd calmed down, I started getting re-dressed again.

"By the way, since we're here, how did I do?" I asked, trying to sort my hair and make-up out. I did not need the questions.

"Short version or long version?" He asked.

I tried not to get nervous as I ran my fingers through my hair. Was there any make-up around here?

"Short, then long if I need it." I said, looking for my other shoe. I don't remember making this much of a mess.

"You were probably the best I've ever had." He admitted. I looked up at him, shocked.

"You say that to every girl don't you?" I asked, looking at his face. I was usually pretty good at reading people, so there was a chance I could see if he was lying. There was no way I was the best.

"Well, for one you're the only one to have ever asked, so no, I don't. But I'm not kidding. If I hadn't felt it, I would never have even guessed you were a virgin." He said. Slightly embarrassed, I looked down.

"Sure, whatever. Now, do I look ok, or do I need to try and find someone with a brush and make-up?" I asked, looking back up at him.

"You look hot." He smiled, eying me. My mind flashed through every single time he'd done that and I blushed.

"Thanks. See you around sometime." I waved awkwardly, unlocking the door.

"Wait." He took my wrist lightly.

"Let me take you on a date." He said.

I rolled my eyes. "I thought this was a no feelings deal."

"It was. I mean, is. But that doesn't mean I can't take you on a date." He countered.

I nodded. "You have your phone?" I asked.

Cameron pulled it out, handing it to me. First, I went to his calendar and set up a double date with Matthew and Rania for next Friday, Pizza Hut, at 7PM. Then, I typed in my number, saving it under Cutie. He said he was friends with Matthew, and Rania obviously knew that, so why not? I also changed the password on his phone to 'FourHours'. If he figured out the password, he'd see the date too.

"If you figure it out, sure." I grinned, handing it back.

"Figure what out?" He asked.

I just smiled over my shoulder. "Bye Cameron."

He would never figure it out. If he did, I guess I'd see him then. Only, he'd have to convince them first. I was texting Rania back, saying I got a headache and I'd taken a nap in one of the guest rooms when I crashed into something.

"Hey, have you seen... oh, hey!" Rania's voice shouted over the music. Now that I wasn't in the room, I was surprised at how loud it was. Maybe that room was just really good at blocking sounds?

"Hey! I'm sorry I got a headache and took a nap in one of the guest rooms." I apologized.

Rania accepted it, but gave me a suspicious look. "You better tell me the truth later." She said.

I sighed. Why did I think I'd be able to keep anything from her again?

"Anyway, Matthew's been looking for Cameron too. Have you seen him?" Rania asked.

I was surprised I didn't blush as I shook my head. "No. Should I have?"

"Guess not. Look, go find him if you can. You know what he looks like, right?"

I nodded. "Yeah, I've seen him around school. And it's not hard. You just have to listen to all the girls who have slept with him talk. They describe him all the freaking time." I rolled my eyes, walking away. Thank God she didn't see me blush that time.

I wondered around aimlessly for about an hour, not really even trying to find Cameron. Matthew was already looking; I wasn't needed.

As I made another drink, I remembered the beginning of the party. The thought that no one else even knew about what I'd done made me blush.

"Thinking about me?" A voice said in front of me.

"Actually, yeah. Matthew's been looking for you." I told Cameron, who was now in front of the drink table. I grabbed another cup, mixing another vodka and coke. I was way too sober for 1AM.

"There you are! Have you guys met?" Matthew said.

I saw Cameron shift awkwardly. "Yeah, I think we had a class together last year." He told Matthew. "I have to go." He said, walking away.

"What's his deal?" Matthew asked.

"Oh, he asked me on a date so I put a date in his calendar and told him I'd go if he could figure it out. I basically rejected him. I don't think that's ever happened before." I grinned.

Matthew groaned. "Why? Why would you do that? And where the hell have you been?"

"I took a nap in one of your guest rooms. Chill. I already saw Rania and she told me to go find Cameron for you, so I came here to get just a little buzzed first." I lied. Apparently I was good at this. But, then again, I was only lying about the nap. I really was in a guest room, I just wasn't sleeping.

I took a big gulp of my drink, hoping neither Matthew or Rania would ask me anything.

"Holy shit I forgot how strong that stuff is..." I muttered, trying not to cough. I knew my breath would have that little whiff of vodka in it, and suddenly, sleeping did sound like a good idea.

But I couldn't say I was going to sleep since I'd said I was taking a nap.

Stupid having to lie thing.

"Can I talk to Taylor alone?" Cameron asked, coming back again.

"Uh, sure. Don't get rejected again." Matthew teased, walking over to where I think Rania was.

"What was that about?" Cameron asked.

"I told him you walked away earlier because I basically rejected going on a date with you. Now, why did you get all weird?" I asked. Something in me wanted to stop talking and jump him again, but I held off. I wasn't going to be a crazy slut. I knew I didn't get jealous at all about guys; I just wasn't that kind of girl. He'll continue being the player, and I can finally sleep around at parties. It's a win-win.

"I don't even know. Maybe you gave me something." Cameron winked, making me laugh.

"Yeah I did. I gave you the best you'd ever had." I smirked.

"You're going to throw that in my face aren't you?" he groaned.

"It's kind of hard not to. You didn't have to say that, you know. I'd rather be told I should never do it again than lied to." I added, making another drink. "Want one?" I asked.

Cameron shook his head. "I swear, I wasn't lying. You really are the best. But hey, if I ever meet someone who does it better, I'll let you know."

I just laughed. Maybe the alcohol was kicking in. "Why? So I can come back and remind you why I'm the best?" I asked, knowing I was flirting slightly.

It was confusing. Every story I'd ever read, every movie I'd ever seen, they all told me it would be really awkward around the guy, that I'd feel like a truck had run over me, and that I would get jealous over the guy constantly. So far none of these things were true. Yes, the actual sex part had hurt, but then it had felt amazing, and I could see why putting up with the pain was worth it.

"You up for round two right now?" He asked, sounding a little out of breath.

I was about to say an enthusiastic hell to the yeah, when Rania came over.

"Hey guys! You met I see?" She asked, glaring at me.

"Yeah, I think we had a class together last year or something." I said, shooting Cameron a look when Rania wasn't looking.

"Well, the party is closing down now. Just thought I'd let you know that everyone's going home." Rania hinted at Cameron. Maybe she thought I was planning on doing it later?

"Actually, Matthew said I could spend the night since he doesn't want innocent little Taylor's ears to be burned." Cameron smirked, and I saw a flashing memory of him calling me a bad girl.

I took another big swig of drink, using it as an excuse for the blush now forming on my face.

"Tay, are you ok?" Rania asked.

I nodded. "Took too much at once I guess." I said, trying to sound choked up.

She nodded, turning back to Cameron. "Can I talk to you?" She asked, not letting him say no.

He shot a worried look behind him, making me shrug. She was probably going to tell him to stay away from me because I'm a virgin.

Oh if only she knew...

"You guys had sex, didn't you?" Someone said.

"Who?" I asked, looking at the girl. I'd seen her somewhere, I just couldn't remember where...

"You and Cammy. You had sex." She stated.

"Uh, no." I took a sip of my drink, watching Matthew trying to get the people out of his house.

"Don't lie, I know you did." She insisted.

"Look, I really don't know what you're talking about. And I have no idea who you are either." I complained.

"I'm Chelsea, and Cammy is my boyfriend. Now, I know you had sex so stop denying it!" She yelled.

"Good for you guys. I'm still a virgin, so can you please stop accusing me of something?" I asked, starting to get a little annoyed. Her voice sounded like nails on a chalkboard. How did I know she wasn't really dating Cameron? Because he's a lot of things, but a cheater is not one of them. This was probably a one night stand that still had jealousy issues.

"Stop lying!" She screeched, making me cover my ears. I downed the rest of the drink, a little smug that I couldn't feel a burn anymore.

"I'm. Not. Lying. Go bug him about it if it means so much to you." I cracked my knuckles, getting ready for what I was pretty sure I knew would happen.

"I know he would never cheat on me unless some bitch forced herself onto him. Well, get over it sweetie, he's mine." The girl, Chelsea, sneered.

"Then he's still a lousy boyfriend, but I swear, I never had sex with anyone! I think you're getting people confused." I said, trying not to laugh when I saw Rania, Cameron, and Matthew coming up behind her.

"Is there a problem?" Matthew asked.

"This slut slept with my boyfriend!" She yelled, the noise on the chalkboard sound getting somehow higher.

"Who's your boyfriend? I thought you were dating that Kevin guy?" Rania asked. "And as far as I know, he's in Mexico or something for the next couple of weeks."

"No! Cammy's my boyfriend." She insisted, leaping on him when she saw him. "Baby, help me!" She squealed.

I wanted to laugh when he frowned. "Chelsea? What is your problem? I slept with you once. We are not dating. You are dating Kevin." Cameron said, as though speaking to a five year old.

I stayed quiet, watching the whole scene with an amused expression. It was slightly funny.

I guess something had happened tonight. Life better get a lot more interesting after this.

"But, Cammy, I thought we had something special." She sobbed, and I couldn't hold back the snort of laughter that escaped. I covered it over with a cough, but no one was fooled. Matthew and Rania were both trying to stop laughing too, deciding to just make out with each other. I knew they'd ask me for details later, so I focused on the conversation.

"It really wasn't. You said you wanted one night, I gave you one night. Nothing more, nothing less." Cameron told her, gently. He must have had to get good at these conversations.

"I'm sorry, Taylor. I just... I don't know what's wrong with me." Chelsea sobbed, hugging me.

Completely surprised, I hugged back.

I pulled back, trying to smile. "It's ok. No harm, no foul, right?" I lied. That bitch had almost made me get into a fight.

"Yeah. I'll see you guys around. I'll take a cab. I think I had too much to drink." She wiped her eyes, waving bye. Stupid drama queen.

"And that's why I love our school." Cameron smiled.

I cocked my head, curious.

"Even the sluts understand when we tell them no."

I burst out laughing. It was true. Our school really wasn't cliché. Yes we had a player, and yes most of the cheerleaders were sluts, but they were all annoying clever, and they all understood that no meant no. If a guy said it slowly, that is.

"Shall we go have a talk since Rania interrupted our last one?" I asked, deciding to just let it go. Maybe she'd sober up by Monday and apologize properly.

"Where are the lovebirds?" Cameron asked, looking around.

"They were making out. So I guess his room." I rolled my eyes.

"Let's just use the guest room." I suggested. That way, we could just say we wanted to be as far from the noise as possible.

"So what were you saying before we got rudely interrupted?" I asked.

"I was saying that we should go for round two." Cameron winked, making me laugh.

"You wish. I was considering it, but then I remembered something."

"And what did you remember?"

"That after round one you said you loved me. Is round two a marriage proposal?" I joked.

Cameron frowned, playfully. "No, that's round three. Round two is moving in together. God, get your facts right Cutie." He teased.

"I'm sorry, Player." I laughed when his face scrunched up at the nickname. "Fine, we'll do a round two, but if you say you love me again, you can say goodbye to any chance of that date, ok?"

He nodded, surprisingly eager.

The door shut behind us, and I let myself get carried away again.

As I drifted off to sleep an hour or so later, the only thoughts in my head were, if sex is supposed to be better when you love the person, I don't think I'd survive.

"TAYLOR LIZZY QUESSIE, YOU BETTER HAVE A GOOD EXCUSE FOR THIS!" Rania's voice woke me up. I groaned, my head pounding. How much did I drink last night?

I rolled over, only to crash into something hard. My breath caught in my throat as everything that happened last night flew through my head.

Shit...

"I got cold, so we were using body to heat to warm me up." I lied, making sure we were both covered. Please believe me, please believe me... I thought, knowing that even though we were best friends, Rania sometimes acted like my older sister.

"Yeah, and I'm a lesbian. Tell me the truth. Now." She crossed her arms, making me sigh.

"Just tell her so we can go back to sleep, Cutie." Cameron muttered from beside me.

I sighed. "Just let me put some clothes on first, ok?" I asked. After glaring at me for a second, Rania nodded, shutting the door behind her.

I'm in some real deep shit, I thought to myself, throwing myself into a sense of déjà vu as I put last night's outfit on.

"Where are you going?" Cameron asked.

"To tell Rania, remember?"

"Well, come back here after, because I don't like being alone." He said, sounding sleepy. Was he sleep talking or something?

"I'm going back to hers after so see you around. I mean it this time." I was about to shut the door when I heard him again.

"Wait! You still haven't said anything about the date yet!" he shouted, sitting up quickly.

I laughed. "You'll figure it out eventually." I shut the door finally, ignoring him grumbling, only to run into Rania. She pulled me into a bathroom, slamming and locking the door.

"You ready to explain yourself?" She asked, looking angry.

"We had sex. Twice." I told her, shrugging. In truth, I was terrified. She really was like my big sister sometimes, and I wasn't sure how she'd take it.

"How are you coping?" She asked, looking at me nervously.

That made me laugh. "I'm doing better than Cameron. Seriously, I think he's got separation issues." I rolled my eyes.

"What do you mean?" Rania asked, and I looked up at her. She wasn't mad, just confused. Good, I could deal with confused.

"I told him I wanted it to be one night. No strings, nothing emotional. You know, like in Friends With Benefits. Anyway, the first thing he said after was that he loved me, and then I tried to walk out and he asked me on a date. And then, when I was asking how I did, he said I was the best he'd ever had." I explained.

Rania's mouth fell open. "Seriously? Please tell me you're joking."

I scoffed. "I wish. We only had sex the second time because he promised not to tell me he loved me again. Apparently round two is supposed to be the moving in question." I laughed, remembering the joke.

When Rania just frowned, I laughed harder. "I might explain that one day." I told her.

"So, since you seem to be ok, and apparently he's the only one with problems, I'll forgive you for not listening to me." She smiled. "And since we're on good terms again, give me the details!" she giggled.

"It was... kind of boring at first." I admitted.

"Why?" Rania cocked her head to the side, sounding confused.

"He wouldn't shut up. He kept asking a bunch of questions and I was just like, "how am I supposed to know how I like sex? I've never had it before". You know?" Rania nodded, so I continued. "Anyway, it got better as it went along. Actually, it got really good. Definitely the best I've ever had." I winked, making Rania laugh.

"So, did he go down?" She asked. I nodded. "Did you go down?" she asked, looking like she wasn't sure if she wanted to know the answer. I nodded again.

"It was weird. I don't know if that's a good weird or not, but it was. But either way, I'm good at it." I shrugged. "Now can we please go back to yours so I can change? Also, I don't want to have to deal with Cameron. I swear, he's acting like a girl about it."

Rania laughed, opening the door again. "By the way, I'm sorry." She said, as we headed for the sitting room. She probably wanted to say
