Jealousy is an ugly trait. A woman shouldn't be jealous, especially one who trusts her man. And I've always trusted Grayson. Well, up until recently. I've noticed the sneaking around, him changing the password to his phone, the constant selfie taking, and how much time he was spending at the school before and after practice. It was always the other women, it wasn't me. Before, I had no right to be mad or... jealous. Now, though, I'm his girlfriend. His actual girlfriend.

Things are different.

I came up from the sink, luke-warm water dripping down my face, and blinked my eyes open. I noticed how my eyelashes looked extra beautiful and my skin was glowing thanks to the face mask I'd just washed off. Taking a clean t-shirt (because towels are bad for your face), I patted my skin dry and then applied some moisturizer all while Grayson took a shower after I got out.

While I brushed my teeth, I had to endure the nuisance that was the vibrating of Grayson's phone.

The shower stopped and the curtain was pushed out of the way, letting Grayson out. He wrapped a towel around his lower half after drying off a bit.

As he approached me, I rolled my eyes with conviction. After I spit and rinsed my mouth out as well as the sink, I threw my toothbrush into the holder and shoved Grayson's phone in his chest.

He looked at me with confusion so I explained my aggravation,"Why is someone, who's number isn't even saved, hitting you up this much? Can't be that goddamn important."

"It's not."

"Then tell them to leave you alone." I huffed in frustration as I got dressed inside of the closet.

"Are you okay? You've been mad at me since last night."

I stood upright and scoffed,"You mean since you checked out the girl in the mall? Wait, no, how about when you flirted with the girl at the movies?"

"All I said is 'thank you, you too'."

"She said 'enjoy the movie', Grayson! What does 'you too' even mean?!" Grayson looked more confused than ever but he dropped it and paced back into the bathroom.

Several minutes later, he entered the bedroom again but this time, in jeans and socks, the t-shirt tossed over his shoulder.

I stood in front of the mirror, struggling to adjust my bra strap when Mr.fake-ass-Captain-America ambled over to give me a hand.

"You didn't have to-"

"Shut up."

I regretted to look up and when I did I noticed his concentration, as if it were a puzzle he was trying to solve.

Quietly, I laughed but stayed still and remained patient. He got it eventually.

"I saw you check her out, Gray - the girl at the theater," I swallowed,"d-did you want to fuck her?"

He stopped what he was doing for a second and adjusted his tone before speaking. "What about Joey, I saw how you looked at him."

"He's attractive," I shrugged. I watched as Grayson clenched his jaw and used force on my bra strap, putting it too tight.

"So was the girl at the movies." I slightly cocked my neck when I heard that.

Once Grayson was done, my shoulders relaxed and I mouthed the words "thank you", while toying with my necklace.

For a minute longer, Gray stood there and eyed me down through the glass.

Next thing I knew, our lips crashed into each other's and I had his hair locked in between my fingers. My breathing picked up rapidly as Grayson choked me with one hand and forced the other between my legs.

I was pushed against the wall, my head being pressed against it as Grayson rammed into me from behind. He stopped and whispered roughly in my ear,"Can Joey do this?"

"You're so jealous," I giggled between breaths,"it's sexy."

"Brea." Grayson called out my name.

"Yes!" I moaned.

"Brea?"

"—BREA!"

My head shook and I snapped back to reality.

"Oh," I laughed it off,"I'll have a-" I went on to place my order with the waiter who stood over our table.

"I'll put that in for you two right away." He flashed a grin and hurried to take our menus away.

I leaned back and took a sip of water as I tried conjuring up that daydream I just had.

"Why are you always on your phone?" I asked Grayson, my eyes squinted.

"Huh?" He sounded.

Huh. I hated "huh." A guy always goes "huh" before he tells a lie.

Not wanting to be lied to, not that my Grayson would do that, I snatched the phone from his hand but not before he could lock it.

Incorrect.

"You changed your password again?!" I scoffed.

Unbelievable. Asshole.

Grayson took his phone back but slid it into his pocket for safekeeping, I'm sure.

"What the fuck is up with you lately? You've been so jealous-"

"I am not jealous," I said in a cool tone as I crossed one leg over the other and sat back again, drinking my water as my eyes scanned the sidewalk we were also located on.

"Yeah, alright." Grayson hissed, picking a piece of lint off of his white shirt.

As we sat in silence, I looked down the pavement and noticed a familiar woman approaching.

Oh, great - Bethany. Bitch.

"Grayson, hi." She spoke, forcing a smile.

Bethany didn't look too hot, she was pale in the face and holding her stomach.

I noticed the bag of Chinese takeout in her hand, she was holding it pretty tight.

"Hey, Bethany." Grayson was too nice to be flat out rude to her but he didn't bother giving a genuine smile or wave, he barely hugged her back.

"Oh, Breanna, hi. How are you?"

"Great, thanks. You?"

"A bit sick, I'll admit. Chinese - not a good idea," she made small talk,"Eating outside, hm? This place is great and it's a nice day."

"Want to join us?" I asked, pulling a chair from the other table.

I noticed Grayson get ready to say something and Bethany swallowed hard.

"Ma'am, sorry but you can't take a chair from another table." Our waiter, Adam, said to me.

Grayson sunk in his seat almost as if he was relieved, and Bethany smoothed out her pencil skirt.

I removed my grip from the black metal chair and looked up into Bethany's aging eyes.

"Pity," I sighed,"maybe another time."

"I have to go." Bethany said abruptly and started to jog away but before she could, she vomited in a bush along the side of the restaurant.

Classy.

"Go. Help her." I allowed Grayson to be Captain Save-a-Hoe just this once. Being the nice guy that he is, he kindly touched my shoulder and then hurried to the woman's aide. Darn his well upbringing.
